in the Gold Cup Leading Light is Hotly favored to win, for me the big
dangers are Altano, tac de boistron and Brown Panther, with trifecta chances
to Pale Mimosa Royal Diamond and Simenon, and the Queens horse Estimate also.

i'll be expecting Altano and Pale Mimosa to improve at the longer journey.

    a thriller in manilla !

Leading Light wins the Gold Cup in a gripping finish,
i managed to throw missunited into the trifecta after the scratchings of
tac de boistron and pale mimosa, the Queens horse estimate ran a close second.

it may be the off season round these parts but there's still a winner to be had,
i picked up these HQ Framed winning photos on the weekend, the best is Belle Du Jour
winning the Golden Slipper, one of the most amazing Victories ever in the race

it's King George day this coming weekend and at this stage i'm favouring Magician
to take out the Big race, Telescope is the clear fav and has a big chance after his easy
win at Ascot last time, Mukhadram, Trading Leather and Romsdal are the EW chances
The Filly Taghrooda is pushing for favouritism, for mine the Oaks form doesn't match up.

Against all odds the Flying Filly Taghrooda beat the boys in the King George,
Telescope and Mukhadram filled the placings

News is that Taghrooda is gonna take on the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe,
she's favourite now, even with the Derby Winners in the race, i've got early
bets on the race on one of the Derby winners, for a while there the favourite was
the Epsom Dery winner Australia, my tip's for the German Derby horse Sea the Moon.
the most impressive winner of a Derby i've ever seen.

check him out, you gotta love Soumillon's reactions as he approaches the line (10:25)

We get to see Taghrooda go round in the Yorkshire Oaks in a couple of days,
she's the un-backable favourite, and the one to beat of course, the race has
quite some Good form lines though, Venus de Milo is an interesting runner and
i'll be having something on her in the race as well as placing a few bets on her
in two of our Big races here before Thursdays race comes around.
Venus's stablemate Tapestry also goes round and we get to see if she really can stay.

Volume will set the pace in the race which should provide a truly run race.

the unbeaten Taghrooda has been outstayed, Tapestry won the Yorkshire Oaks,
no excuses at all for Taghrooda as Tapestry sat back and ran her down, Volume
set a brisk pace with Venus de Milo at her flanks, Taghrooda soon breezed
to the front and Tapestry was just too Good in the end,

the two Derby Winners are now favourites for the Arc after Australia beat
the French Derby Winner yesterday on the same Course, Sea the Moon is now the fav
for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

Spring Racing got off to a Great start in Melbourne with the promising Late Charge
Leading all the way to win his much awaited Carnival Race, after numerous unlucky
runs last season he made all and took advantage of the Good barrier draw.

There's been some dramatic changes to the market for next month's
Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, Sea the Moon has been beaten ! yep at home in
Germany by Ivanhowe, the pair easily defeated the rest of the field
in the Group 1 Event, i wouldn't worry that much just yet as the trainer has
stated he wasn't 100% for the race, funnily enough it was because of Ivanhowe
that i discovered Sea the Moon, Ivanhowe was an even hotter favourite for the
German Derby a year prior than what Sea the Moon was. KEEP Following Him !

the English St Leger Festival Kicks off later tonight

The English St Leger is run later tonight, i have bets on Windshear in the
race, along with Scotland and Alex my Boy at the value, The main dangers are
the Derby Placegetters of course, Kingston Hill & Romsdal

The Derby Winner Australia goes round at Leopardstown a little later in the
Irish Champion Stakes at unbackable odds.

and Good old Late Charge scraped into the field for the final race in melbourne
today, i'll be keen to see how he goes on the Big track.

Shocking News that Sea The Moon is Injured and will miss the remainder of the Season.

in Last Nights Irish Champion Stakes the Derby Winners Cleared out to Fight Out the Finish
with The Grey Gatsby just beating Australia.

In the St Leger the Derby runners fought out the Finish also with Kingston Hill
edging out Romsdal in the concluding stages, Windshear ran well to finish a Very Close
Fourth capping off a marvellous Day's Racing

and at Flemington Late Charge lived up to his name running an almighty Race to just get there !

I Decided to back Ivanhowe today to win the The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, apart
from anything he's at twice the odds here in Australia than he is with the
European Book Makers, now we just have to hope he runs, i also backed Taghrooda
for a bit just in case.

i love this photo by Fank Sorge, it Features Ivanhowe clearing away to win
the Gro?er Preis von Baden recently, Germany's Greatest Race, that's Sea The Moon
    to the left.

Looks Like the Cat goes round in the Caulfield Guineas Prelude today, i've
backed him at the Big odds to win a few of the Classics later this Season. i think
if he takes up a handy position today he'll be right in it.

Late Charge also goes round, he really takes on the Big Time today in an open Sprint.

Looks like the Cat ran a Good race today, the pace was rough and hectic forcing him to sit back in the field,
he set himself apart from the rest of the field in the straight chasing the winner home for a gallant second.
    Bring On the Guineas !

    J-2 For Sunday's Arc !

in the latest Dramatic News Aidan O'Brien has decided to Enter Tapestry for
the race at the Final Hour,

i've backed a couple more horses in the Race in the last few days, Firstly
Ruler Of The World, Tapestry's Stablemate, he was unlucky in last years Arc Trial
and ran a Good race in the Big One last year, he recently won the Prix Niel

Also Prince Gibraltar, unlucky in the French Derby behind The Grey Gatsby and then
beat him home after that, he looks to be a True Stayer and he's at huge Odds for this.

of the Japanese horses Harp Star is well weighted and may see out the trip,
and Trêve .. has she been waiting for this one Race ?

    ran really Well.

    Caulfield Guineas Day Today !

Rich Enuff the Bold Front Runner leads the Market for today's Big One,
Looks Like The Cat will be Ready to Pounce at some point in the straight
all Going Well, Rich Enuff's wide barrier draw pretty much ensures a solid
pace in the race with the other Big Chance in the race Almalad drawing the
    extreme outside barrier.

those are the Big Three with place chances to Shooting to Win and Chivalry

in the other Group One, The Toorak, Bull Point looks hard to beat, and Good old
Late Charge goes around in that too.
