    Default Barcelona today

Today's general strike got a bit out of control...

Currently the hell breaking loose here, fire everywhere, explosions, police fighting with tear gas and rubber bullets... the center isn't really safe place right now.

    Some photos :

Photos by my friend from his apartment and near by street :

    Central square before tear gassing...

    edit:

my friend says police also tear gassed firemen who were putting out fire...

I'm stuck at home because trains and buses don't go...

It's just current situation of society.
I think that this kind of things are happening just because people has noticed they actually have quite good chances to influence. But they uses strange ways sometimes.

This all only because some changes in labour system?

Well if it's your city, then it's understandable. But, for an outsider watching these things happen all over the world in many great and not so great cities, it's just another day in the grandeur scheme of things. . . . . we are all like ants here, and sometimes via social manipulation and economic strife etc etc etc some assume a fire ant mentality. We are not so different from the animal world, just a bit more . . . attrezzati.

Ha ha. Well, if you want to make an insect analogy, I would not have used ants for these people. They are more like the proverbial 'grasshopper' ... the grasshopper frittering away his time on frivolous activities and going deep into unpayable debt to do so while the ant works hard and stores away food for the tough winter.

    hey . . that's right!

I have a great respect for ants. . . . . a long time ago before I achieved respect for them, I picked up this creature in my backyard, while I was trending the tomatoe plants .. . I picked it up and started tapping the ant in the face with my index finger, as iuf we were having a boxing match. . . and no matter how big I was to it, it kept fighting. . . . . . that was the moment when I found utmost respect for ants . . . . . . I let it go on its merry way, and felt proud to have known it.

I wish I could feel the same way about these morons that take to the streets like this . . . . but I don't. They are brainless. They fail to see the bigger picture, and instead want tyo cause havoc where none is necessary.
