As for the mailbox message, as RMJ said, she already knew he had her address, so there is no problem here, no one got freaked i'm sure. It was a few nice messages nothing more. And i appreciate what RMJ did very much. It meant a lot to the fans who made the trip knowing she would have their very own messages in her hands (unless Jeremy got it first and binned it, which we did joke about). And for the guys who still think it was a bad move, get over it.

You have to remember that she is a celeb and a beautiful woman -- if any of you have dated either (and your actions suggest that you have not), you would know that you just don't do those things. If she wanted to invite you over to her house, if she wanted you dropping mail in her box without using the postal system, if she wanted the kind of personal relationship you guys think you have with her, she would LET YOU KNOW. I once delivered a fanmail directly to Jari Mäenpää's house when I was 16...
The next day I went on the Wintersun forum and he scanned my letter and asked who sent it. I responded, and then he posted a day later with all the questions I asked...answered...

He didn't mind the direct letter, he in fact welcomed it.
What i'm trying to get at is that it differs, Alizée may be open or not-accepting to the more in-your-face interaction with the fans, where is she without the fans? She is not higher than us, we are not lower than her, we would not be able to be anywhere without each other.
Without us, she is nothing, without her, we would have had different if not worse lives, and that is the mentality I like to keep.
We're as much her family as anyone else, do we not care for her? Do we not discuss about her all the time? If it's about 1000 fanmails coming in directly to her mailbox every day, then yes I would understand the invasion.
But this is ONE measly fanmail from some of the greatest fans I have ever seen, with nothing but the greatest and utmost respect and awe, sent secretly by a man who would be better to uphold his secret and does.

If I was as much a celebrity as she is, I would be warmed if I was to open a thick letter containing heartfelt wishes from people I don't even know.
With only the fact that somewhere out there, i've made my mark, and that people do care for me.

If she really is that heartless not to give the thing a chance then I don't know, i've opened up my heart to other music enough, stuff like this makse me want to shut my doors again and keep to the genre that has treated me so well already.
But I know that she isn't, and I keep longing for that fact that I cannot prove relevant. I've stated time and time again, it's all or nothing.
She can't expect to be getting funds and money if she doesn't go the whole mile and give us a reason to do so, the moment we buy that album of hers, we are a fan, we become who we are, and she can't expect to just leave us there dwindling, she's got to take us on a ride, something only a fan of her can experience.
In my opinion, she hasn't come back yet, her break of 5 years is still a break, and we're all still waiting...

Well that's your opinion and you are not alone in feeling that way. What was done was done out of love, nothing more. RMJ quickly dropped the letter and left, no hanging around hoping to glimpse her, no dusting the mailbox for her prints, nothing weird or creepy, just a simple posting of some nice feelings from some devoted fans.

I understand where you and others are coming from but i don't think Alizée would have been freaked by this. As a woman, I find it very creepy to have someone dropp off a letter in my personal mailbox. Even if the intentions are "good" Just the fact that someone knows when I'm home or not and where I live and maybe occassionally drive by my house.... wow....creeps me out!

Yeah, we are fans and we want to let her know how we feel, but really, think for a minute, let's say someone admires you for your line of work or has some type of devotion for you, but you haven't personally given them your address, and all of a sudden you receive a letter in your mail box, not post marked.... I would get the shivers... feel a little creep out....just not right.

What i'm getting at is that her personal address is kept quite secret, and RMJ has done a good job in keeping it secret, and thus this is probably one of the only letters she's going to get.
I don't trust her rat's-ass mainstream record company.
I trust the fans. I trust the community. And if this measure is what it takes for her to see and gain our wishes and blessings then so be it, what's done is done and I for one do not oppose it.

If Alizée is that scared at getting some random fanmail, then I just can't say anything other than....WOW! Personally, I could deliver a personal mail to any metal musician that I adore and I would expect a response, because these "minor rockers" are very fan-interactive.
