Future Knight of Arts and Letters is working for the album of the French Lolita is his new 5 stars studio. Simultaneously, he created his own label, "In face".

Everything is around the piano and it's capable to reproduce the great sound of this instrument. So the studio is avaible to Ollon. A such opportunity for all the musicians, because it's hard to find in Switzerland such a quality of piano. "That's why i've never recorded in Norway at ECM", said TL, who also worked with Blue Note.

Avaible for great musicians
The next Alizee's album, which will appear in december, will see it's fist days of live in TL's studio. But even if it will be recorded there, it will still remain under Alizee's label. What connection between Alizee and jazz? "My label has it's own identity, which is that of jass and clasique, but i don't say no to the other kinds of music and the studio is open for every great musician who can come and record here, under the protection of his own label. This will do also the great pianist Enrico Pieranunzi. Alizee is a young woman with huge talent. She knows what harmonique means, which makes her slightly touch the jazz world and, on her next album, she will be accompanied at piano by Moncef Genoud, a good jazz pianist."
Without speaking about the quality of sound, this studio makes that the albums to be bought at a lower price than the price that exists today. So, the albums will be sold even directly from the label, even by the singers on their sites or at their concerts.

Next "In face" albums
The first IF album, "Winds and Tides", will come on 8th of nov. TL will be accompanied by David Linx, which could be heard also with The Count Basie Band, Bernard lavilliers or with Hanna Scygulla.And for december we wait a TL and Francis Coletta duo.

but I'm not sure what to think about that article... it sounds a bit curious that Alizée watched out for an other producer.. and a new album in decembre? I guess it's not very likely that this will happen this year...

Exactly my thought. Though it might actually happen if someone realized that this album wasn't good and that She needs new, better stuff if She is about to become bigger and better. That could be also one of the reasons for postponing Her concerts for the next year (I still have no idea if those were just rumors or truth).

btw: Alizée and Jazz? Sounds a bit crazy

Honestly, after the failure of this album, I wouldn't be surprised at all! This album is everything except what we expected it would be (comparing to the previous 2 albums). She completely changed everything, from Her songs, lyrics and videos (especially official videos are bad, in my opinion) to Her image and style. Everything is much more artistic, with many new effects. She has abandoned completely classic pop music and switched to some other, not-so-usual type or pop/rock music with bunch of special effects. I even don't know how to call it, it is a mixture of everything. Therefore, I wouldn't be surprised if I see Her making some jazz or blues on Her next album... Unfortunately. She proved that She is ready and open for innovations and new directions (too open for my taste!), and we may expect new things to come sooner rather than later.

Although I seriously doubt that She will release new album before the middle of 2009 (if She releases any!).

Depends what kind of jazz.
Could be progressive pop, that takes on a jazzy influence.
Or flat out jazz.

Well, i don't know all these music terms, but if you record your album in one's studio, it means that he's you producer? I don't know, that's why i'm asking. And, like the guy said, it's not a studio just for jazz. She will just record her songs, which, probably were/will be created again by the other composers (like on her 3rd album). She'll not have jazz influences... i hope. And the other guy, the pianist, as a pianist he should know all kinds of music which can be reproduced by a piano. So, maby the song is already done, but he will just press those keys. it doesn't mean that it's his song. We'll see.

thats what I would guess. Unless of course her record lable just gave up on her third album, and said "you know what, lets just move on to a new album, and a clean slate" But even doing a new album in 09 would be pretty quick no?


As for Jazz, it sounds like if anything, there is a jazz influence, (so like...pop/jazz?) and not full blown jazz. I hope though,(if this is true) that they do at least one full jazz song, with mainly piano, cause I would love to see Lili in some super pretty dress, laying ontop of the piano, singing some sweet sounding jazz song, like something out of the past.
