65 Euro??? To be a bit painfully honest, i personally think that's a little over-priced for my taste.

First of all, we have not heard anything from the actual album to make us know what we are buying here, and since her third album was nowhere near the quality of the first two, i would not buy it before having heard any kind of sample.

The vinyl thing was somewhat of a fun extra for the fans with Gourmandises and MCE, but seriously, i got my first CD player in 1990, and i think my last record player died like 15 years ago...

A poster is nice, but a book 'inspired by the album' doesn't tell me much either at this stage, because i know nothing about the album yet. A song inspired by a book or a movie, i can undertand, but a book inspired by a music album is a bit vague at this stage. What kind of self-proclaimed greatness is in these songs to have a 100 page book written as inspiration before the actual album is released?

All of this together, it comes off as rather pretentious.

yeah, a bit much but considering what is inside the box, it is very reasonable when it's also in limited quantities. From a marketing standard it's not a bad move on their part especially since Mexico I understand what you're saying, but it is only in terms of personal preference v. promotional hype . . . the latter wins. Which is why people buying the box set now, probably won't like the music later as much as figured.

Actually, i think it is a bad move from a marketing point of view. High prices for CD's lead to more and more people going for illegal download instead.

65 Euro's may not be too much for some hardcore fans, but for regular people, it's a little insane.

I completely agree with Batman. Maybe they are trying to make up for the losses they had previously by canceling concerts.

      . . . BUT this isn't a "CD" . . .it's a BOX SET. A collectible. Something you can't DL. 2 different things.

Well, that's why they have it set for Feb 21 deadline to order it. It's a collectible and they made a deadline for it so that they can start filling orders AND because they realize that in doing this they target MOSTLY "hard-core." . . and the deadline is a "fineprint" saying 'and for whomever else wants to order it.'

I doubt the CD will be this high, too. Really, I think that although your point is made, it KINDA ( ) seeks more credit from the wrong source: collectible box set. You also have to look at the contents, AND the fact that the first 100 have 1/1 signed polaroid ( that are coming back in production, btw from Kodak). AND also another 50 RANDOM insertions of signed polaroids. Taken together with the other contents, and the fact that it has a deadline . . then YEAH! it's worth the price.

I know these are just opinions, but the facts remain ^
