Alizée really needs a [b]QUALITY [/b]video

Everyone remember the first time you watched Moi Lolita? Remember how fucking cool and enjoyable it was? I do. It was nicely shot, ambigious, artistic, ect. Great video. Then....I dunno. L'Alize was frothy and pretty no doubt. Parle tout bas was a little scary but semi well done. And gourmandises was a mix between artistic and pop-ish fun.



Now when I listened to the songs of Mes Courants Electriques I envisions various beautiful scenarious as you might find in a video for the song. Something intoxicating, something new. However Jen ai marre slightly dissapointed me. It was cute and nice but I dunno. Not that much there. And I just watched J'ai Pas Vignt ans...... what the hell happened there? I mean the girl is amazing as always. But what's with the clothes, the odd sincronized dance moves, the cheap set and editing? It just came off cheesy and boring.



Which brings me to my topic statement that Alizee really really needs to lay down more than a day to shoot a video, and do it with some real talent. Put this girl in Corsica, in Paris, get some great cinematographers, some efficient crew members. Make something amazing like her music deserves.



If the video for Hey Amigo is just a bunch of simplistic dancing and repetitious crap, I'll be very let down. There aren't many girls as incredible as her... lets not waste that.

I go back to the hair-in-the-face thing in her latest video. Did they not have more film to work with? Were these the BEST shots where it got so bad we can't see her face and she can't see the camera? I agree, it looks pretty cheap. I just figured this was 'in' in France right now.

I wil agree, though, that it is not at the level of the Moi...Lolita clip. As for the J'en ai Marre clip, well, I just won't say anything about that one! :D

what's the picture without a nice frame aye? Watching this girl in her latest video is like watching A Clockwork Orange on 8mm.... it just isn't good enough. She deserves DVD surround sound and a huge ass flat screen TV. plain n simple

Should we expect less? All we've seen great medium-budget videos. I agree with Milo. A second album, former not-so-bad videos, great songs, a growing fan community, and Alizée... all deserved more, not just the easy way. I mean, it is just a filmed version of the live appearances we'll be seeing (I guess, maybe without the other dancers).



I'm still waiting for a video that makes her justice; they can do better.

I think the clip is ok. I do think there should have been more story and more connection to the text of the song.

It's a nice clip, but a bit like "We are out of ideas" clip.

I want a DVD of her concerts and videos. I have downloaded all I can from websites, but the quality isn't the same. I want a clear, big screen view of her. I guess the main reason would be to torture myself even more.

Could we get an email campaign going to urge people to write the record company? Actual letters personally written by a few thousand of us might help them see that it would be worth producing a DVD. People with Alizee websites could post the address and ask people to write.

I found a 2 DVD set on amazon.fr that has Alizee listed as one of the new singers on it. I can't play it here because it is the wrong format. Someone I work with bought a DVD player that will play European DVD's as well as N American. I tried to research the DVD ("2001: L'Odyssée des enfoirés") online, but couldn't find anything on it in English. The Google Search translation was hilarious, but not too useful. If a DVD does come out, I just realized it would need to be in NTFS format for N America as well as in PAL for Europe. Maybe I'll have to get a player that will play European DVD's if an Alizee DVD does come out.
