I have 1,39GB of her videos and it would be great to share/download them with you! I cant host it, but can someone else do it?

I don't use DC but I know how to open an OpenNap server for sharing... using WinMx, old Napsters, AudioGnome, TekNap, SunshineUn...

There isnt any Alizée hub as far as I know. We were just discussing if that kind hub would be possible for someone to set up. That's all, sorry.

I remember bringing that up on the old forum and was shot down quickly. I'm on a DC hub for another website and it is working out very well. We usually have about half a terabyte of stuff floating around and I think it's easier than the IRC channel. The guy who runs it says it takes up very little bandwidth and the only downside is that you will need to keep your computer on. If no one else will do it, I wouldn't mind setting one up since my computer is on pretty much all the time.

For about 6 months I'm running Alizée dedicated FTP server, but it's loaded too much, so I’m consider to close FTP, and to go on P2P network with all Alizée stuff (10-15Gb as for now). For about a month I'm testing DC++ hub. I can’t promise to run it forever, but as for now - you can try it, if you want:
1. Get DC++ at http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/
2. Share at least 1Gb of Alizée stuff (or any French music related stuff. Please, no software, no porno, no other shit – IP address will be banned without warning);
3. Add new hub to favourites: alizee.myftp.org & connect to it (Note, hub is private, so you’ll not find it on a public list);
4. Enjoy ;-)

Yeah, I just figured out that I can't have two instances of DC++ since I can only use port 1412 on my router once (or something to that effect). I've tried running two instances of DC++ (actually, BCDC++) but changes done in one instance mess with the other one. Is it possible to run two different connections on the same with different settings (like sharing a whole different set of folders through one connection then on the other)?

I have around 4 GB of Alizée videos, and I think that Direct Connect should be the best way to share our videos, the problem is to create a permanent HUB.

I've just created a small WWW (http://alizee.myftp.org/) page about the hub on the same address.

I’m running private MP3 FTP server from the middle of 1999 (or maybe I’ve started it even earlier. I don’t remember. Just checked dates of the oldest directories on my FTP, and they are dated 1999). About 6 month ago I’ve started Alizée video FTP but it took too much bandwidth. So I’ve switched to P2P network. Now DC++ is running for about a month. It takes a lot less bandwidth as long as everyone downloading everything not from me So it’s much better than FTP in bandwidth terms and it’ll be here as long as you need it.

Check your proxy settings or try to connect to any other public hub. If you can't - doublecheck you configuration !

Blaadek btw if you have'nt figured it out yet , when you start up the program u got to settings, fill in a name, email etc then you go down the list to Sharing and click the Add button to add folders you want to share..

Remeber to set quite a high number of open slots (4 should do it) so that people can download from you.. Different servers require differend slots.

After you've got that done click ok and you come to the main window, click the yellow-star (favorite hubs) and then new..

Add the server adress listed in the thread and press connect !

To search press the search button (spying glass)

And I found an error on HUB's script: When my ADSL reconnect I can't connect, because my nick is already used. I think that the wait for new nick is not good, because the DC couldn't reconnect after some minute. Please rewrite this script: disconnect if a nick is used.

why dont you just run a ftp by using a program called BulletProof FTP its easy to set up thats if you have the speed to leech to 5 or more people at a time heres the website http://www.bpftpserver.com

I believe I got a problem. If I'm going to use this hub, I have to share 1GB Alizée stuff/french music. That can be done, but I also use DC++ on other hubs where sharing more than 1GB is required, which means I have to share more than just Alizée, but if I share something not Alizée related/french music on Alizée hub, I'll get kicked/banned. Do i have to choose to either use Alizée hub or others, or is it possible for me to find a way of using both?

there are other ways of getting 1gb of alizee stuff
you can share other stuff in the hub, but you must have at least 1gb of related stuff and make it easily availible

i got my 1gb of alizee stuff from the alizee-vids irc channel
ask some of the people there how to do it, i'm sure they'll be glad to help

I don't know what I have on this old buvket of bolts, but things have been going downhill fast and even faster when I try new programs, so I'd like to keep it to the basics stuff until I get a new computer.

I just checked how much Alizée stuff i had now, and it turned out to be 1,55 gb, which is obviously more than 1 gb. I'm sharing Alizée only at the moment, just to be sure that nothing of what i share would stop me from connecting. I now tried to connect too the hub, but for some reason it doesn't like me. I keep getting this message when I'm trying to connect:

*** Connection refused by target machine"

Don't know, I'm usually connected to 20-30 public hubs, so I don't know which ones I've gotten them from. I've used this hublist: http://www.hublist.org/PublicHubList.config.bz2 for ages, and added the first one and a half page (sorted by number of users i think) when I started using it.
