Alizee and the Market

I think I just want branch off of a posting I just posted. I would like to hear what some of you guys think about her marketing and Mylene farmer helping her out.

I have heard alot of things from alot of differnet places. Some people don't like Mylene Farmer because they think that she controls Alizee and gives her no credit. On the other hand some poeple like her.

I don't think Alizee could have found anyone better to take care of her career and help her out. I know from what I hear that Alizee's manager is a man right ? It's not Mylene Farmer. But let's be honest. Mylene Farmer writes the lyrics and Laurent Boutonnat makes her music and it is Alizee who performs and sings.

My last opinion is that Alizee is in good hands. I love her just as much as all of you and I think her Career is just starting off. There may be periods though just as any career that there may be big breaks in between some Albums. But I think that is needed.

They way that they are marketing the crowd and fans right now is good though. They are giving us just enough Alizee. Not too much, and then again, surely not enough.

Difficult question again ! For now, both Mylene and Laurent have more than a good influence on Alizee and they both have the experience and knowledge to guide her on her own way, but gradually she will become more independent I guess ... Let's see where that will lead to !?!

Not that difficult... Alizée can manage to do it without them both now .. she is strong enough to manage that and I personally think that there will come a day (maybe soon) that she will do that.



As she said in the interview, Mylene and Laurent do have their own jobs .. and more an more she have to do by her self ... ofcourse it's a early stadia to stay this but that is what I think and suppose.

And she still has to gain a little bit more experience in songwriting, as well in establishing her own style even further ...

Don't forget that even before she was supported and produced by Mylène and Laurent, Alizée had already a great talent for dance and songs... First time she appeared on french tv M6, she won the singers competiton of "Graines de stars"! .. She came again to this show the week after and ... She did it again: She won for the second time! .. She was chosen by the televiewers as the "singer champion" of this tv show... And all of this before knowing Farmer and Boutonnat.



Sure after that, this duet helped her and we must be grateful to Mylène an Laurent for that. They composed for her a fantastic song "Moi ... lolita"! who allowed Alizée to travel all around Europe and became a truly european pop star!...



In my opinion, I really hope that Alizée will stay a long time with this duet cuz Alizée says that she doesn't know how to compose music and she doesn't want write her own text.. So it will be a quite difficult for her to success alone :lol: .

Maybe she can work with someone else but I really don't see which composer can be more gifted than Mylène and Laurent in France (Except perhaps Jean-Jacques Goldman, the composer of the french songs of Céline Dion).

Anyway I really hope Mylène-Laurent-Alizée will stay together for longtime! (And I love Mylène Farmer as much as Alizée)

You're right C3PO, but it was of course partly thanks to the still immensly succesful France Gall that Alizée could enter the music scene independently ... Not to break down her performance, but I guess an artist has to grow in writing his or her own songs !

in a couple of years she will try a solo album and it will be better than her previous 2 because she will have everything she want in it experience and confidence at the moment no offence some songs off her 2nd album sound like recycled tunes off her first album and it has the style of mf and Lb so her own style will be great

Alizée is talented and she doesn't need Mylene or Laurent but together they are perfect so I like Alizée's backround forces.
