Journalist : What's happened? You have disapeared for 1 year?

Alizée: Full of things. I travelled a lot, i have visited all Europe, and prepared my new album.



J: Was your Lolita image irritating?

A: No, not really. I'm happy with this image even if i'm growing up. I'm conscious that this image will always stay on me. And i know that everyone is awaiting me with this second album.



J: Is the single "J'en ai marre" reavealing the life you have today?

A: No. It's just a sentence that everyone can have in mind, whatever you character is.



J: What is really irritating today for you, professionaly and in your private life?

A: Professionaly, i hate when the things don't go their way because i'm very impatient. In everyday life, i don't like rain. i'm used to be with the sun of Corsica.



J: You have sold 300 000 albums and 700 000 singles abroad. What a performance...

A: Yes. I'm very proud of my carrer and to represent France. I was surprised by that success abroad.



J: Do you want to attatck the "global" market?

A: I have lots of calls abroad but i don't attack the global market, it's the other countries which came to me by themselves. I never said "well, i will try to make sucess in that country". For example, go in USA doesn't attract me. Even if "J'en ai marre" has been recorded in english.

I have tried to create a fluently written translation, but I’m also not from the UK so even I can make mistakes, don’t blame me please! :wink:

Ok Riccardo. But you have to learn french if you want to be the greatest Alizée fan ok? :mrgreen:

I will summarize the video (you give me hard work!):



1st part:

Alizée is talking about her new album, she said that she wanted more electric guitar and more drums in this one than in the first one. (The man you see said that this new album is better).

After Alizée is talking about her favorites singers: Since she's a child Alizée admired Madonna... Right now she likes a lot the last album of Robbie Williams and Indochine (a fantastic french group!, I live them too :D ) . After she said that she has been really more implicated in this new album.



2nd part:

She's talking about the fantastic success of "Moi lolita" in France... And she has been very surprised that a single in french could have had such a success abroad. Abroad, she was a little fed up to always wear the same outfit when singing "Moi lolita". She is prepared that this "lolita image" will always follow her in her career... It's not a problem for her because she says the word "lolita" is a cute word. Even in the streets people sometimes called her "Lolita" but she's really not disturbing because she likes this name.



3rd part:

Alizée says that she's happy to come back often in Corsica to see her parents, little brother.. She's talking about the song "J'ai pas 20 ans" , she says she is less shy than before. She's very HAPPY, ... TOUT VA BIEN ! (Everything's good!)

(Not very intresting part... :x )



4th part:

Alizée is talking about her public! She's happy to have a very wide range of fans: little children who are cute and will grow up with her. But she's also very happy to have a more adult public who can easier understand the text of her songs. (The man talks about the "farmer print" in the Alizée album)...

She will soon meets her public on stage: She doesn't want to play "too much" on stage.. she thinks she's not enough a big star for that.. So she wants something nice, simple but with some surprises... It will be a minishow. She says that she doesn't want to make a show like Mylène. ("Too big, Only Mylène can do that" she said)



5th part:

She's talking of her relations with the duet Farmer-Boutonnat... Music came first, after they choose the theme of the songs, then Mylène write the texts. They are always 3 (Alizée-Boutonnat-Farmer) to decide for everything, even pictures of the album, press, ect... She's talking about her fist meeting with Mylène.. They were both very shy but now she's talking with Mylène like a friend!. Alizée says that the most beautiful and great example of success is Mylène's carrer, she cannot dream of a greater career than Mylène's. (Last alizée sentence : "On peut pas rêver mieux"... "We cannot dream of better").

Yeah I'm sorry for not having chosen French instead of Russian, but how can i learn it fast? Im going to school, ok my brother learns french, but i do not know really. maybe study his old folders ?

I think its best just to learn some vocabulary first, day by day, just by reading some easy articles or even the forum ... For the purpose you have in mind, that will do ... The grammar is way too complex to start with ...
