I believe they were taken in Seyenne, where Alizée was on vacation. That's somewhere in Azia I believe. But this is just what I heard, I'm not too sure about it.

Yes, it's true. Alizée was the last Christmas with her family passing her holidays in a island called Seychelles. This is a French propiety island. There is a guy in this pictures and maybe, he can be her father, but i'm not sure about this...I was very disapointed watching this pictures...i haven't never seen this before, Alizée doing photos in a paparazzi style...boooooooo.... :x :x :x :x :x :x

Greycap

well, a tequila on ice wouldn't be that bad

Nikodemus
22nd June 2003, 18:53
Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG with AMG-Perfomance Package and Mille Miglia interior would be even better than tequila on ice.

C.P.A.
22nd June 2003, 19:10
mm I prefer the CLK 430 or 320 cabrio actually or my absolute favo: Lamborghini Diablo 6,0 Cabrio + Alizée next to me of course ! so it could be even a lot better :)

American things with four wheel are not cars. They are big ugly heavy and slow pieces of shit.

TheLarch,

What about an SLR?

Yes SLR would be nice too.

Roof down, Alizée next to me and Cote d'Azur's roads next to the Mediterranean Sea. PERFECT!

Greycap
23rd June 2003, 11:02
You are partly right, Nikodemus, american things with 4 wheels are not cars -> its ART! i never found somewhere else that beautiful and cool cars than in the USA. looks like you have no idea about cars ;) ....got a driving licence, buddy?

Nikodemus
23rd June 2003, 11:30
Have ever seen for example legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL 1952 or

Jaguar E-Type 1961 these masterpieces has timeless beauty. European sportcars are legends. Ferrari, Porsche, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Lotus, Mercedes-Benz...

Nobody else can make real cars like european!

Greycap
23rd June 2003, 11:37
oh, c'mon, not again.......hey, my dad owes a ford mustang convertible, tell him that to the face! have you ever seen a plymouth 'cuda? a ford mustang? a 1956 chrysler or a 1957 lincoln or a 1958 impala? of course, i named only the most beautiful older ones, but no european car has ever had that beauty!

Nikodemus
23rd June 2003, 12:05
“Think industrial design, photography, fashion and architechture, European cars represent always the newest and the most exiting development of car desing.”

Volkwagen 1200 "Käfer", Citroën 2CV, Citroën DS, Austin Mini, Fiat 500-600 "Topolino", Porsche 356. Even very cheap "normal" European cars are beautiful.

American thing are not designed distinctively. They all look like same. When one make made wings all others did the same. No one is personal.

Performance? American "supercars" Corvette, Viper, Mustang, Camaro Hah!

Real supercars Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR, Enzo Ferrari, Lamborghini Murciélago, Porsche Carrera GT, BMW Z8, Mercedes-Benz SLR, McLaren GTR-1...

The_Honorable

Greycap, you bring a tear of joy to my eye... :D

I will point out, though, that Ferrari's and Lamborghini's and Porsche's are all beautiful cars. Just a different type of beauty from, say, an old Mustang, but beautiful nonetheless....

And what does all this have to do with the beach photos? Well, beautiful cars and beautiful girls are a match made in heaven!

Greycap
23rd June 2003, 19:41
*lol* exactly :) a car, a wonderful woman, a surfboard and one or two gallons of tequila ....thats more like it  (although one or two millions in a swiss bank wouldn't be that bad either ;) )

oh!!! I completely agree with you.

I love the american cars...Chevy Impala,the classics Cadillacs ,Mustangs,Shelby Mustangs,Chevy Camaro SS & one of my favorites...the Dodge Charger...but I can´t see this cars in Europe... :?

the european classic cars I love too(to be real,I love all the cars...)but they aren´t so special as the americans...

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 14:45
You are europeans and you love american cars. Phyi!

Have ever been in EUROPEAN classic masterpieces. They are

The european tecnique is the best in the world. Best designers and engineers are european. The quality of american cars is very low.

Lex
24th June 2003, 14:53
...

I love cars & I´ve been in a lot of carshows...

I think I know quite about cars and technique...but the technique for me is a secondary thing...I preffer the exterior look of the cars...and in that aspect, the american classic cars...are the best(in my opinion,of corse)

I don´t know what you want to say when you say:

The quality of american cars is very low.

But there is not all to have a little engine with a lot of HP(like in Europe)...the lifetime of the american engines will be bigger

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 15:31
If there is V8 with only 300 hps 400 Nms and top speed is less than 200 km/h something is badly wrong. American cars weights several tons and fuel consumption is terrible.

Corvette represents american supercar. V8, 344hps, 483 Nms, acceleration 5,7 s

Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG european upper middle class sportscar. V8, 500 hps, 700 Nms, acceleration 4,7 s.

SL is beautiful Corvette is not.

European cars are cars american "cars" are POS.

Greycap
24th June 2003, 15:38
i'm also european and indeed i also love american cars and not the european ones. USA is first in making nice cars and military aircraft.

Lex
24th June 2003, 16:12
The maximum speed is not only determinate by the engines´s HP,the transmision in very important too...

The fuel consuption is determinated by the volum of the engine, a bigger engine-a bigger consum...in the most of cases

There were some versions of the Chevrolet Corvette(I´m talking about street cars-no race cars-)with more than 400HP...(look here: http://www.supercars.net/cars/1993@$Chevrolet@$Corvette%20Coupe%20ZR1g.html )you got the Dodge(or Chrysler)Vyper too, with over 400HP too and more radical car...

I agree with you in one thing...todays SL is more beautiful than todays Corvette, but if we see the calssics Corvette´s(as the Stingray)...the SL has nothing to do...

http://www.supercars.net/images-small/1963_chevrolet_corvette-1.gif

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 16:15
Maybe but car is european invention. And nice cars. American cars have never been nice.

European cars, aircrafts, motocycles, boats, ships... everything are better than american ones.

Lex
24th June 2003, 16:29
That the car is European invention is not enough to say that the european cars are better than the american cars

American cars have never been nice

you don´t say why

I think we are going out of the initial topic...

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 16:33
Dodge/Chrysler Viper has lots of european technology because Dodge and Chrysler are brands of DaimlerChrysler.

About fuel consuption: European V8 eats less fuel than american V8 and has more power and torque. European engines and cars are much better than americans.

Lex
24th June 2003, 16:49
European V8 eats less fuel than american V8

ok, but don´t forget that the american cars have the tendency to be bigger than the europeans, so the will consum more by the extra weight

and has more power and torque

uhhmmm, don´t be sure of that...the only thing you have to do is to look tho similar engines and do the comparations...

and don´t forget that in europe the many cars use "Turbo-s"

There one thing important too say to understand the american cars "rarities":

the fuel is much cheaper than in europe, the terrain is better than here & the speeds limits are very low

C.P.A.
24th June 2003, 16:59
viper is cool idd!

Lex
24th June 2003, 17:02
people say that it is the new version of Shelby´s "Ac Cobra"

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 17:04
Americans doesn't develope new high tech systems to their cars. Engines are just like in the 80's. No diesel. Nobody needs those damn big SUVs. They are not practical or safe.

Why can't they make better cars than they have to! American car is just powerful enought to move the car. They don't care about fuel. If Opec raised the price of oil american car makes would be in very big trouble.

C.P.A.
24th June 2003, 17:07
not true! Mercedes has a lot to be thankfull for by daimler ! and I must say that many of the new tech things in cars do come from the US ... what's wrong with u .. did u close your eyes for everything good about the US?

Lex
24th June 2003, 17:11
They are not practical or safe

Today the standars of safety in cars, are the same in europe & in america

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 17:14
American cars are not successful in EuroNCAP.

Lex
24th June 2003, 17:20
how many american cars have you seen in the EuroNCAP???

C.P.A.
24th June 2003, 17:27
eum I have seen kinda lot ! but well I keep my eyes open :)

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 17:38
Lots of american cars have been tested in EuroNCAP. Always with worse results than european cars.

Lex
24th June 2003, 17:51
for example?

Nikodemus
24th June 2003, 17:57
PT Cruiser, Voyager, Cherokee...

Greycap
24th June 2003, 18:12
don't tell me the cherokee isn't popular here in europe! and my opinion is still the same, everything that drives and flyies (the exception of the rule is airbus) is better if its made in the us of a :) amen!

Lex
24th June 2003, 18:14
Nikodemus, this type of vehicles always takes the worst puntuations in the crash tests...

The_Honorable

USA is first in making nice cars and military aircraft. (emphasis added)

Oh baby that is so damn true! If I weren't in school, I'd be putting in my 6 years to learn how to fly an F-18 or an F-15 (good ole Tomcats are still top in my list!)! And as soon as I get some time I am going to learn how to fly! (not military aircrafts, unfortunately, though that would be one hell of a rush! )

Oh, and happy 1000th, btw, CPA! lol...

Lex
24th June 2003, 19:54
It must be fantastic to fly with military aircraft...

Greycap
24th June 2003, 20:20
it is, my friend, it is :)

@the_honorable: you're right, the F-14D Super Tomcat rocks! although i prefer the Hornet, that's just a sexy plane! always makes me goin' up the walls (in a positive way ;) )

Lex
24th June 2003, 20:25
ohhh!!! you´re a lucky boy

is it your work?? what´s the maximum speed it can take one of this "planes"

& what about the Harrier???

Greycap
24th June 2003, 21:18
no, its not direct my work, sorry :) i'm flying for the Swiss AF cadets and because of that i have the opportunity to spend time with our "real" figher jockeys and aircraft :)

well, about the speed, the max. speed of a Hornet is Mach 1.8, although the max. speed for a dogfight is just Mach 1.2.

the harrier is a great plane, its only disadvantages is its old radar and its max. speed, it can't break the barrier of sound, means it can't fly supersonic. in spite of that its usefull because of its hover-capabilites.

The_Honorable
25th June 2003, 06:03
Hey Greycap, what planes do you fly? P-51's? Spitfire's? :D ROFL...sorry! Heh, heh...

No, but seriously, what types of planes do fly? American planes (F-16's maybe?). Mig-29's?

although the max. speed for a dogfight is just Mach 1.2.

D..D...Dooooooggggg....fiiigghhhttt???? They still have those? With the radar systems and missiles of the American planes (not to mention undisputed air supremacy), dog-fights are relics of WWII! :D (Ok, that might be a slightly ignorant overstatement... lol...)

Nikodemus
25th June 2003, 09:50
Airplanes is WW2 were real airplanes. Modern planes are nice too but these are cooler. Supermarine Spitfire, Hawker Typhoon, Hawker Hurricane, Messerschmitt Bf-109, Bf-110,Me-163, Junkers Ju-87 "Stuka", Focke-Wolfe Fw-190, Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero "Zeke", B-17 Boeing "Flying Fortress", C-47 Douglas "Dakota", Vought Corsair F4U ...

Luftwaffe made very beautiful planes. Me-163 "Komet" is fantastic.

Greycap
25th June 2003, 13:28
i personally fly the DR400-180 Robin. (that's a french, single-engine trainings-plane). but the swiss AF flyies with french mirages III (but only the reconnaissance-version, the interceptors are gone) and american F/A-18 Hornets and Northrop F-5 Tigers.

and yes, most of the fights today are out of visual range, but how the vietnam air war showed, there's nothing usefuller than the good old plane-mounted gun :)

@nikodemus: my grand-dad's brother flew the BF109E2 during the WW2 (jep, the swiss af had some of that kind) and after the war the P-51D Mustang.

Nikodemus
25th June 2003, 13:31
Why he flew? Switzerland wasn't in war.

Greycap
25th June 2003, 13:35
so, every contry around switzerland was occupied or invaded, but because of our neutrality we didn't need an air force????? c'mon, look in your history books, there were several fights between swiss pilots and german fighters over our boarder! (just for info, we blew 'em all outta sky ;) )

romantic_fool
25th June 2003, 13:39
American planes of today really are cool I have to agree, unfortunately the people flying them are often too dumb to differentiate between allied and enemy planes or forces.

Nikodemus
25th June 2003, 13:46
Finnish pilots were aces too. Only the best german pilots dropped more planes than the best finnish ace.

romantic_fool
25th June 2003, 18:52
Finnish seem to drive anything well that has an engine. Go Raikonnen. Wish he drove for Ferrari instead of that Brazilian cry baby

colinhunt
25th June 2003, 21:47
That's "Räikkönen", by the way :)

Or "Raikkonen" for you folks with limited character maps :D

Nikodemus
26th June 2003, 09:58
Räikkönen is lucky. Fernando Alonso is better than Räikkönen. It is true finnish people are best drivers in the world. "If you wanna win take a Finn". Fernando Alonso to drive Ferrari and Schumacher out.

Greycap
29th June 2003, 23:46
na, robin's don't have an afterburner, u are absolutely right :) but, i tell ya, the day cpa has a date with alizée on the beach i'll be squadron leader in a brand new F/A-18E Super Hornet...and he will feel it *lol* ;) and no, i've never been in a fighter while the pilot ingnitioned the aft'burner....but my time will come :)

The_Honorable
29th June 2003, 23:50
ROFL! I wish you the best! And what's this...you're alright resigned to the fact that CPA is gonna get a date before you??  lol....

Greycap
29th June 2003, 23:52
sure no...i mean, there's no chance that my air force will ever get the brand new super hornet, so there's no chance for him to get a date (i have to add, it's surely far-fetched for you, but that was how my brain worked ;) ) and thanks, i can need every luck i can get :)

The_Honorable

LOL! Come spend a few years in the US of A....you'll be flying all those beautiful things in no time! :D Hehe....Ah....they really are pieces of fine art, aren't they? So lethal, yet so beautiful....Alas! I get too pensive! Time to go play a little futbol! :P Hehe...

Greycap
30th June 2003, 00:03
but you are right, those planes are just SEXY!!! some are even more beautiful than a lot of women ;) (that's why i have bout one big pic of alizée in my room, 3 of my girlfriend and nearly 30 of fighters *LOL* ;) )

Greycap

Now we're talking! :D

How do these officer exchange programs work, btw? Is it really a feasible thing? I suppose you've got one advantage in that Switzerland ain't on the US black list! :P

Greycap
1st July 2003, 21:20
i don't know exactly how that works, i mean first i gotta take the step into a fighter cockpit and officer rank, and then we'll see :) at least, what i know is that when we bought the F/A.18 Hornet, 2 of our most skilled fighter-jockeys went to the usa to learn how to fly and fight with it. they are even carrier-qualified!!! and 2 navy pilots came to switzerland, i met one of them, by the way. but you see, it should be possible to get to the usa :)

The_Honorable
1st July 2003, 22:43
How much flying experience till you're an officer? The way it works here is, you sign up, they train you for two years (all basically free; they can also pay for your schooling), then you give back six years of service. But basically, you come out being able to fly anything....I suppose we're "lucky," maybe... lol...

But if you're ever in the States, particularly Texas (where we've got a couple of bases) or the Northeast, you let me know! :D

Greycap

here it's kinda different. (i'm sure it will change pretty soon again, but, who knows ;) ) in switzerland every man has to join the army, but basically just for bootcamp and some additional weeks. then every year again for 2 weeks. that's the so-calles milita-system. now airforce pilot is a fulltime-job, means at least 8 years. now its gonna be difficult. for becoming a airforce pilot ones has to start in the age of 16/17, the cadets. its not necessary to describe the selection, just we are now 100 cadets, out of former 2800. now before one's able to start in the "real" air-force, one has to serve 1 year in the army (for my year i'll be assigned to a recon-platoon within the infantry) till one's a leutenant (means officer) only after that year ones allowed to enter the real AF training, wich includes also the business-pilots licence (so our af-jockeys are also able to fly everything around :) ) that training takes 3-4 years, and only after that ones a fully combat-qualified pilot. you see, its fucking more than just a nice withe uniform with golden wings on it ;)

Heh, heh....Ok, so I simplified things a bit. This is a more accurate version, in case you're interested: start with a two month program in the summer, out of which you come ranked as a second lieutenant; then it's 6 months in classroom flight training; they then rank you, and if you're good enough you go on to flight school; flight school is 18 to 24 months down in Pensacola; there you are also ranked, and depending on how good you are, you get assigned to fly something; of course you could always then go for more training, say at the Top Gun school; once your training is done, it's 6 years of service for most planes and 8 years for fixed-winged jets, to pay back for your training (which costs a couple of million dollars).

Anf if I may state a bit of an ignorant comment, it's interesting that a country so traditionally neutral as Switzerland has such "tough" military rules (compared, for example, against the US). I suppose, though, that the best way to assert neutrality is through a strong deterrence force....

Well, it seems like you've got quite a ride ahead of you. But it looks like if you don't get to fly the Hornets you want to fly, you've always got that backup business-pilot license to allow you to cruise around in a Cessna or a 737! Forget about cars, buddy--what would Alizée think if you came to pick her up in a private jet?! :D lol...

*rolf* right, i'll grab her on a sunday morning in ajacco with my hornet, then a lil step through the mcdonald's drive-in (id love to c the expressions on the face of the guy working for mcdonalds when someones grabbing some burgers with his tomcat *lol*) and then i'll show her the sunrise from above. cool :) about the "tough" rules, yes, its hard and you have to be a "freak" to get thru everything but remember, we are a fucking small country, every year theres a need for only ten (10) new air-force pilots, out of first 2800 boys and girls. so the af just needs the best of the best (i know it sounds arrogant, sorry) and thats the reason for the whole selection programm. and also remember the topography of switzerland, we are filled-up with mountains, and it just needs a special kind of people to fly with mach 2 through narrow valleys. and yes, in my opinion a strong armed force is just necessary for being neutral. how i said, thats my opinion.

well, in theory its a good thing to get a business-pilots licence, but i don't know how much u are informed, but the airline business in europe (and especially switzerland) is all fucked up! no chance to get a pilot job withing the next 5 or 6 years. (my dad is a commander flying for swiss air lines, you would be surprised how bad the situation is, he gets the infos....) now, i don't feel comfortable just talking about me, sounds like im kinda bigmouth....well, what about you? why do you know that much about your system?? are u or have u been a member of the us armed forces?

LOL! Oh, and take it from me, don't be afraid to be arrogant!! :D lol...

Concerning the airline business, I know only what I read from the papers, and now what you tell me as a first-hand source. And though I don't know the extent of the disaster there, let me say that airline industry was and still is in a pretty rough shape here as well, though there are some signs of recovery.

How do I know so much about our system? Well, let me start off by saying that I love the military, particularly the US military--it's a wonderful, terrible thing. More specifically, though, my brother was looking to possibly do a summer session with the Marines, out of which he would come out as an officer, so I asked him to investigate how the Air Force timeline worked, since I've always been interested in perhaps enlisting (and if enlisted anywhere, it would be the USAF or as pilot in the other US military divisions!). But (un)fortunately, I'm currently in school, working as well, so to donate 10 years of my life to the US at this point is simply not feasible. Alas! Maybe I'll have to wait till I'm a millionaire and then I'll pay the Russians a million bucks to take me along in one of their Mig-29's! :D

Hoooray! I love the marines, 1 and a half years ago i was in washington d.c. and met a couple of the leathernecks and made some new friendships... cool guys, indeed, tough as nails but just cool :) well, if u don't want to quit school and job or what the consequence of enlisting would be, what about the reserve? and what's the main reason not to enter the pilot training in the usaf (if it would be me i'd try it in the usmc or the navy, damn, carrier-landings *beingexcited* ;) ) or the other branches? i don't get it right, i'm afraid. i mean, if u love the aviation, let me tell u theres nothing more interesting and exciteing as military aviation. (i fig u noticed that alleady ;) ) and let me tell u that i love the us military as well, it may sound strange to hear that from an extranjero but that's the way it is. if it would be possible i'd allready joined the usmc. don't take it wrong, i love my fatherland and i'm proud to be a airman in the swiss air force, but in the us it would be kinda other dimension. years ago, during my first visit to the us of a i went to NAS Miramar (u know, the former top-gun base, now moved to the NAS Fallon....guess u know that 2, sorry ;) ) and had the luck to pose for a picture with a F-14 pilot, and although i was a lil' boy that picture is still my greatest motivation for getting through the drill here :)

"The few, the proud," buddy! I'll agree with you: if I ever went to any branch of the US military, it would probably be the Marines. From a pilot's point of view, they've got most of the good stuff: the Hornet you so love, the Harrier AV-8, helicopters such as the Super Huey and the Cobra, etc. And I will agree that carrier landings must be one hell of a rush! Difficult, no doubt, getting that little hook on the line....And how about taking off! Getting catapulted out of that baby at that sort of speed...."*beingexcited*"! Speaking of which, have you ever been on a carrier? They are really something....Modern destroyers as well, with their Tomohawks and AEGIS equipment (all stuff in which MIT no doubt had a big part in designing! :D )....

As for the reserves, that is the most likely scenario if I ever choose to do anything with the military. I guess if my situation was different, I might enlist now, especially considering that they can basically pay for all your education, both undergraduate and graduate (all meaning that you have to serve afterwards, of course!). In any case, I plan to start taking flight lessons with my dad (he was a pilot back in his days....nothing fancy, though: mainly small planes....), and if it really interests me....well, you never know! USMC, here I may come! :D lol...Of course, "technically," if I stopped going to school, I would have to enlist in the Italian armed forces, since it's mandatory there. And I say "technically" because I suppose that as long as I don't set foot in Italy, they can't do a thing about it! (Though I've already gotten into some crap concerning it.... ). But anyway, I've written too much! Have to split these babies up, or it will look like I'm writing a personal reflection essay here! :P

Yes, it's true. Alizée was the last Christmas with her family passing her holidays in a island called Seychelles. This is a French propiety island. There is a guy in this pictures and maybe, he can be her father, but i'm not sure about this...I was very disapointed watching this pictures...i haven't never seen this before, Alizée doing photos in a paparazzi style...boooooooo....

what crap man!!!!! Seychelles has been an independent nation since 1972 after it gained independence frm UK....seems a microscopic minority of Europeans can never get themselves out of Colonialism and a false self superiority complex...if u read the stuff from somewhere...else np man!!!
