First allow me to say that you site is Great it has an excellent selection of videos, pics and news.

Yet I cant help but wonder as to why you Upload mpgs and not the avi’s, so what I’m Trying to say is why don't you upload the avi’s?

I've also noticed that many of the videos do not even download correctly. Yeah, your site is great, seriously nice work, but what's with the videos? And will you have MPG or AVI formats of those awful .rar files soon?

Well I think their files are compressed in a password protected rar to protect their site. I’ve had no problems with the rar’s.

If your having problems downloading them then you should use a download manager.

I just wish I could have the original avi’s. :cry:

I always download the original video. That way I always get the highest possible quality release, and lots earlier than it's posted on Alizee-fanpage.com.

It's not like all videos are always in avi format anyway, sometimes people release mpeg or m2v files too.

Where do you download the originals from?

Mostly FTP's and sometimes off eMule. Just keep an eye on the forums around, that's the place where you can find the links first.

See that's what I mean they should leave the files in their original format.

Please upload the original files in whatever format they come in.

That way you save yourselves the trouble of having to encode them.

No If its an mpeg you don't need a codec, it was just probably not encoded properly.

If its an avi then you would need a codec. Which one is it?

I download the Vids on FTP's or on MirC Channels,look into the Stuff section ...

Uplaoding also takes time so videos on Alizee-Fanpage are linked later, and in the future it's nearly impossible to have all videos up, too much, and toooooooooo much traffic...............



over 120gb / day traffic, i had an provider supporting unlimited, but althoug he supports he said to me it's just too much now one thought of so much traffic!

I have no problems viewing fan de 4 but I have the avi, What do those of you who cant see it have an mpg or avi?

I’m not saying that you should upload every video you have in every possible format, I just don't know why you don't upload the originals.

What if there are more originals? Sometimes, there are more people recording the video, and release it in different formats. I'd say upload only the highest quality videos. ^_^

Yes but it takes much time converting them and a very big size causes much traffic und furthermore finding a cheap or free account where u r able to upload is not always easy. sometimes not possible so ... :cry:

Yeah Riccardo is right their (after all he is the one running this site).



I know converting takes a long time, so if you don't convent them you save yourselves the time, besides how big is the difference between the original and the converted video, it cant be that much.

And just out of curiosity what do you all use to encode them?

Well, I do allway have the same problem, it's not easy to find good and enough webspace. :// It's just easy to host little small sized clips, but the more than 50MB one's.... puhh...

yeah, the only real solution is an own server and then some total unlimted traffic! but that cost a hell of a lot of money :(

Unlimited traffic... I don't think any server will provide that. Bandwidth is not for free. :|
