Concert Songs ( It's No Begging,So Read ) Oh Brother...

Instead i name all the songs:

To answer you question...and it's my opinion, i find Abracadabra much much better then JBG.

In the couple of years she preformed a lot of songs,but i never saw one of Abracadabra or JBG ( exception of the DVD )

I saw J'en ai marre, J'ai pas vingt ans, L'Alizé , A Contre Courant, Moi...Lolita, Parler tout Bas and Gourmandises...

These all are songs who done it very well,but i think she could have sang Abracadabra or an other song at her concert.

Why are some of her songs so under-rated that she doesn't sing them?

Of course she could have sing them but the who wrote the script for the concert didn't see them fitting in.

I don't think it fitts in either.. All songs that she sang on her concerts is better than Abracadabra. I think it's too slow, she sang enough slow songs, one more would be too much.

You see, people likes different songs. The script writer didn't see VVV fitting in it. Too bad for those who would have liked it. (yes, I would have liked to see it too... But the concert wasn't created just to please me... )

It could have Tempête or some other boring song, tho... Or maybe that Loi Ou Toi...

Lui Ou Toi, Youpidou (That bass!!!), Toc De Mac, Tempete and Mon Maquis are the best live translated tracks from the Concert IMO. That is, compared to the original album versions they have added interesting new instrumentation layers and overall I think they own the album versions on all fronts. JBG, ML, ACC, CTT and Hey Amigo are tracks that have have both positive and negative changes compared to the albums. All the other tracks are less good live then the original (which mainly is caused by the fact that most single worthy tracks, and in fact the whole Gourmandises album, were made with lots of electronic instruments: drum computers, samples, synthezisers etc. )

In short :arrow: I think they've chosen the best possible tracks to be translated from the album to a live version (since Abra... and VVV are, apart from a simple guitar melody, electronic tracks).

NB: I'm sorry for this messy post but I'm too lazy (at the moment) to give a better desription, plus I have the feeling that nobody will care anyway :roll:

The songs really wasn't chosen randomly for the concert. There were someone thinking what would fit in and what not...

Everyone has their own favorites that they would have liked to hear but they aren't necessary the best choices for concerts.

ACC's failure in the concert was that she kept concentrating more to the audience and the staff than into singing. :( I wish it wouldn't be the second last song but somwhere in the middle... It surely was nice for those in the first row but rest of people felt disapointment... It could have been spactacle but now it's just on normal ACC level (which still is outstanding...). :(

Well here's where I disagree. I'd love to see VVV, but I'd like to see it just added. I wouldn't want to ever replace Mon Maquis or Lui Ou Toi, two of my favorite songs...

I also would have liked to have seen Abracadabra. Thing is, I like the Gourmandises stuff better. MCE and En Concert were too rockin, and that's why they put J.B.G. in, because it was rockin'. Well I don't care, they could have left J.B.G. out if it was up to me! I find that song to be so-so.

I was also dispointed that Abracadabra didn't make it, it is the second song i ever heard from Alizee and it along with some other songs got me into Alizee. But overall i was satisfied with En Concert, as long JPVA and Jen ai marre was on.

... at TV shows and short gigs artists always sing their released singles ... that's what you hear on the radio too. The other songs on an album are in general only known to the real the fans.

I almost have to get in on this one ... can't understand why there aren't anyone who mentions Coeur déjà pris in this forum ... I absolutely love this song, and it is one of those songs that really makes me feel warm inside, and it has put me to sleep so many times with a smile on my face ... I don't know a word of french, and maybe it's due to that fact that I love it so much. I kind of imagine what she is singing about, and her voice is so perfect and sweet ...

I honestly don't understand why this song haven't got any recognition, and I think it would have done great live and most of all I could have a video of her singing it :oops: :oops: ... I think this one had been a good replacement for mon maquis or lui ou toi ...

My guess is that everyone has his/her list of favourite Alizée songs and each has a ranking of which songs he/she thinks is better. If Alizée was to please every fan she would have to sing every song from her two albums. Not very good for the voice especially if there are multiple concerts.
