this is just a thread so we can focus on Halo and so as to not get off topic with the "whose gettting the 360 this month" although i would debate that, that thread should be locked. . .

but now, i for see the future and now that i have actually made a Halo thread, no one will post in it . . . we'll see. . .

so anyways. . . .

i could care less if master chief is mexican. . . . i probably know how they'll show his face. . .

he'll be bloodied up by the "boss", and his helmat will cracked open so all you'll see is part of his lips, nose, and maybe some eyes. . . but then he'll magically regain strength and keep fighting and win. and we wont ever see his face again.

I personally think the storyline was better in Halo 1 than 2, but the multiplayer is better in 2, which is really all i play anyway

I know, im very excited to see what improvements they make to the overall gameplay. maybe give us a cover feature like in perfect dark? The one thing i really hope they dont do in campaign is make us play as the freakin elite. I just want to be the master chief. No more flood either!!! Ive had it with that crap

Have u guys read the Halo books........I think they are really well writtten except the one caleed The Flood.

Other than The Flood those book were page turners......something for u to read in Silent Reading... :wink:

I think they will make MAster Chief the same as the actor who will be mr. chief in the Halo movie. Supposely the movie is suppose to be the biggest advertisement to the release of Halo 3

According to gamespot halo 3 is going to release summer 2006, around the time PS3 comes out.

Well according to me, gamespot is a useless source for gaming information. It was initially rumored and expected that halo 3 was going to be released at the same time as ps3 to kill their sales and then that was reconfirmed when Bill Gates said so when he did a interview with Times magazine. But recently on engadget, he admitted (indirectly) that he was wrong and that he has nothing to do with the game's launch date/ he has no idea when it will be released. He said it was only speculation meaning no one is still sure when it will be released.

The whole thing I said about the game being released at the same time as the movie was a rumor too (I think) so don't quote me on that. I remember reading about it but I forgot where the source is so I can confirm that.

^All i know is this, microsoft promised halo3 in summer 2006, many people bought X360 just because of that. By releasing it in 2007 microsoft will anger many players. People will feel that they been lied to and will lose faint in X360. That to me is not a good plan, and i think the guys in microsoft relized that long times ago. When nitendo said they delayed Zelda twilight princess, the fans were not happy with it at all. One of my friend was planing to buy a gamecube but didn't when he heard the news. If they release halo3 any later than 2006 they are making a big mistake.

heh, I don't know. I don't think everyone bought the 360 solely just for h3. They bought it because it was the only next gen console currently out. Anyways, it was never officially announced when halo3 is going to be released. Like Gates(Microsoft) said, they have no influence on release date and it was only speculation. And you shouldn't be surprised if h3 turned out to be released in 07. Its almost traditional that developers like to delay the shit out of their games. I still think they might release h3 in 07 but I wouldn't doubt a late 06 release. Of course Bungie never said said anything so... *shrugs

Didn't say directing. Page 78 of the January 2006 issue of Game Informer says, "In October it was announced that The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, in a deal orchestrated by veteran Hollywood talent agency CAA, would be producing the Halo movie. Although he won't be directing, he did promise to take a hands-on approach to the film."

Heres my thoughts about Halo 2.
I preordered it about 5 months before it came out. The story line of the campaign sucks bad so i didn't even bother to finish it. Ofcource i have Xbox Live and played it for a little while. Nothing much. I barely play my Xbox anymore and i cancelled my pre-order for my 360 that i was supposed to be getting in march because i enjoy PC Games alot more

Hey, I dont know if anyone has the new game informer magazine, but theres a big article on a possible Halo 3. Bungie is denying any existence of a Halo 3 in the works, but according to some inside source for game informer, he saw a testing of some game that had the master chief in it. It should run on a modified halo 2 engine, but it might be something completely different. They said the project had the title FORERUNNER. They are thinking of basing it off the movie coming out, which is based off the book Halo: The Fall of Reach, which takes place before Halo 1. None of this is really confirmed though. Ill try to find the whole article online if i can. The title of the article was Halo 3 Dead? That about made me :cry:

Killzone haven't proved anything, and as far as Halo, Bungie created 2 masterpiece, Killzone is and never will be a threat to Xbox/Microsoft/Bungie.

psshhh... I saw the E3 trailer of halo 3 and thought it was lame shiet. Consider how popular the game is, you would expect those idiots at bungie to make a better trailer then just a shot of Chief and pan over a bland landscape.

Bungie.net posting confirms that multiplayer action on the recently announced Xbox 360 shooter is already getting a daily run-through.

The biggest news out of Microsoft's E3 press conference earlier this month was that Halo 3 was indeed in development and on its way for a 2007 release. But given that Halo 2 was subjected to a number of delays before launching a year after it was originally supposed to, some skepticism of the release date was understandable.

That skepticism might be tempered a bit by a recent posting on Bungie.net. In the post, Bungie.net "content monkey" Frankie says that the game is already far enough along that its multiplayer mode is undergoing daily playtests from the development team.

"Lars, one of the new[er] multiplayer designers, has a regular multiplayer test in session now--that happens every day--and with surprisingly polished-looking graphics, although I'm told a lot of the textures and decorator objects are just placeholders at the moment," Frankie writes. "Could have fooled me."

The post also mentions that the team is trying to make sure the game looks great even on standard-definition TV sets, but notes that there's still a "crazy rush" to claim the HD monitors for the multiplayer tests.

That is true, but hackers will be able to make a hack and emulate Vista, just some rumors in my hacking community :lol:
its not aproblem of emulation dx10 is completly diferent on vista . dx10 for xp is far less powerfull than the one on vista so it simply doesnt work on xp
