The post is in English so what's your point? This is the General Discussion section and he's just trying to get word out to any Chinese speakers who might be interested. Or would you rather have a bunch of topics in Chinese here?

I can't read Chinese really well (I have tried the official Japanese Alizée site once, wasn't a succes)...rather tell your Chinese friends about this site! The more (Chinese) fans the better!

艾莉婕 is Alizée's name translated into Chinese, right? :)

Achilles

You two guys are still Chinese, yeh, the blood in your vessels can't ever change,Chinese are all over the earth. dnmgch, your Pinyin is too bad,and ycz you still have a mistake , not "mo",but"me",right?

And back to dnmgch, the website was updated about 1 month ago,do you often go there, what is your name?Btw,my name is "Achilles".Although it is a virtual name,it is important because it stands for me a person behind it in the real world.Shit ,this is not the first time it 's been made wrong.

艾莉婕 is Alizée's name translated into Chinese, right? :)

Yep,but I 'd like to make it"爱丽婕”。Do you know the difference between them?

I don't understand what 婕 means. But the first part (爱丽) of the name sounds nice.

I have never studied it and I know nothing about it's grammar nor how to speak or write.

But it's quite easy language to translate. I can understand the main point in the texts. But I need to translate it word by word first. Sometimes I run into words that makes no sense to me. I'd need to know more the language (and/or culture) to understand them.

I found out what that one character ment btw... So I think I now understand the whole name. Your name sure looks nicer but as the other one is "officially" her Chinese name it could cause confusion to have another name for her. ("officially" because it's used on her Chinese album releases).

Maybe I just call her 丽丽. It's beautiful name. :)

Actually I had it at "wo ai ni" at first but edited it to "wua ai nee" because that how it sounds in chinese when I spell it in english. ...At least thats how it sounds to me.

Yeah, I understand. It's like your personal nickname for her. It's like we we western people like to call her Lili.

Your nickname has even deeper meaning, tho. Thanks to those chinese characters and meaning behind them.

Even our western nickname Lili gets so much deeper meaning when it's written 丽丽. :)

Would it be ok to write it 丽莉 ? Or does it look stupid? (I don't think like Chinese so I don't know if it's ok. :) ) I kinda like idea of that, too... Beautiful jasmine (if I got it right). I like the jasmine part because it's also beautiful flower but also smells like heaven (I can imagine her smelling like jasmine :) )... and it tastes good (jasmine tea)... :)

Since when has French used pinyin?

Achilles
17th January 2006, 13:48
Yes,beautiful jasmine, and jasmine tea is a very nice kind of tea ,but somewhat dear for selling. You know,we Chinese have been having a very special feeling on tea over thousands of years ,just like you for cofee, and almost each of my classmates has a teapot to dip tea.

Yeh,I think the French phonetic simbol "r" is very difficult to prounce.
