I am a video maker, i just haven't had time to make an Alizée video yet

haha, if you want to see great vid, then you will have to wait for at least 3-4 months, so that I can do things professionally . . . to make that sort of vid, I would use "Adobe photoshop CS2," "Adobe after effects," along with the programs I am using now . . . and do things with precision . . . unlike now . . . these vids are really mediocre, to say the least . . . . besides, my vids are not about who is best . . . that doesn't make sense . . . it's the imagination and artistic impression that counts in all of us . . . I can envision a competition, and understand how things can be judged, but to participate in one gives me nothing . . .

I can help with judging, though, if called upon . . . because you need a judge who understands how things are made and has respect for how time consuming things can be . . . you also can't just judge visually, you have to be aware of how the scene fits with the music too, etc. . . sometimes vids do not need a storyline or to follow with the music as we think it should . . . sometimes the scenes become part of the visual flow and we perceive it as though we are looking at the notes of the music itself (we "see" the music).

For example, I am making a vid now and in one scene I am using a Gourmandises cap of the section when Alizée gets a close-up of her eye and she blinks . . . I have made that blink fit with the sound (notes) of the music playing, and it goes so well with the sound that you feel the music through your eyes . . . you have to see it because I can't explain it very well- when she tilts her head back and the eye frame slightly moves up as soon as it blinks, you feel something. . . the song I am using is "E ritorno da te" ( and I return to you) from Laura Pausini . . . I REALLY love this stuff . . . I just wish I had more vids to work with . . . vids with outdoor scnenes or to exotic places . . . that's where after effects and Photoshop CS2 come in . . .

It's my passion to make vids that take care of my senses . . . and sometimes only I can see what a vid is supposed to be telling us . . . which is part of the reason why vids found on this forum, at least, should not be entered into a contest . . . these vids are to fulfill something totally different :wink:

when I make a vid that has taken me 3-5 months to do, then yeah . . . maybe I can foresee entering it in a competition (EDIT:but, not a vid about ALizée). . . heck, some people take longer to make vids of that quality . . . I had one going on for 2.5 months but then my comp crashed and I lost everything on my HD :twisted: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :cry:

it should be a great song for this vid because we are comming to a countdown to her first album . . . it should be the final countdown . . . after all these rumors, I hope this IS the final countdown :wink: I expect to see scenes like her climbing the stairs in the ACC video, the guy spinning in the air (in circles), and one of her "taking off" in the L'Alizé video and of her floating in air . . . it should be a good video and the caps paced to the music will be a key
