I might've asked before, but I'll give it another shot if I have. http://www.youtube.com/?v=BHShDvdRap4 <-- I love that vid and wanna save it to my hd. Obviously I can't just right click on it, and I was unable to find anything of use in the sourcecode (could've overlooked something, I'm not that great... yet..). Please help me out here.

That's the direct link. I don't know how to get save it from there, because it streams from somewhere else through a flash (*.swf) file.
Eh, maybe someone else can help.

there was an article yesterday where you could download a firefox extension and you could configure firefox to save the video into .flv. It not a swf file. I tried it and it works fine.
You also need a flv player to save though. The same method work for google video as well.

You have to install the greasemonkey extension and install a script. I will have to get back to you on the link because I have to look for it.
And I meant you need a flv player to watch the video, not to save.
EDIT: Okay heres the link

Goggle allows you to download now. I guess it was in response to the discovery. And to save from youtube, you have to change the php to flv. You need a flv player to watch it. Just google flv player and you could find a free one.

I also noticed that when u download from video.google.com u just download a short cut to stream it on google player but not as a real file.

Screw the google script. Just use this website to download google video files. Just paste the webaddress of the google video and it will decode the link giving you a download link which you save in flv format too.

Choose Ipod or PSP and you'll get it in .mp4 format.

Total video converter works, but it tags with annoying text. Tried about 5 different converters.
They either have no audo or no video or doesn't work at all.

Anyone has better solution plz post here.

I use flv player 1.3.2
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/WEB-Design/Flash/FLV-Player.shtml
or
http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10467082.html
Its free and it works
It might be a little bareboned in the menus but if all you want to do is play flv, its perfect.
Edit: Try to see if vlc player will play it first. Im not sure if its because I already downloaded and installed the flv player but the movies work on vlc too.
