I have uploaded a different version (much better, imo) than the last vid posted in the "new year, new vid" thread:

With this vid, I have taken the poem scroll scene and added it to the beginning (as intro) and I have also changed the font styles and added three more overlays (the scene where she walks on the beach).

I have noticed that it runs smoother too.

I'm glad you used the JPVA concert commercial clip in this vid. I absolutely love that one! I always find text on the screen (other than bars on the bottom or the logos) distracting though. :P

You can ignore the text and focuss your eyes on the background . . . see the text as simply an accent of style . . . you don't have to read it . . . just like asian characters on a shirt or something . . . they look "stylish" and accentuate the object well . . . that's how you can vierw the text on the vid

don't read . . . just visualize cohesion and order within a chaotic scene

But, I guess that teenagers take to art like they take to sex . . . no emotion and lots of eye twitching :P . . . . . . . . meagre

sorry, but I uploaded the first one twice on yousendit . . . sometimes the server falls just before upload execution :twisted:

It happenned many time with me and I don't think that I can take another such occurance or I will punch my screeen :doc:

PB, I haven't started your vid yet (busy), but I will do so this week. The song you gave me was a bit short (2:51). Maybe there is a slightly longer version or a mix . . . something like 3.5 - 4.5 mins would be great for a vid. For short vids I will have to make it look more "busy" and give the eye some work to tire it and trick it into thinking it was a long vid :cheesy:

anyway, great song . . . I might combine two songs (yours and another nice one - fade in) I'll see what works

Finally got this one. Very nice again, though Angel is still my favorite for choice of song. :)

Only comment I have is wondering if going high-def with these is really worth it. It blows up the file size (making them hard to download for me), and messes up the aspect ratio at points. Yeah, it looks nice... but maybe is just overkill for the purpose of these videos. Paybay's clip was so nice and small, my modem was thankful. :wink:

Yeah, about the vid size, I could have cut this 160MB file into half that if I would have remembered to render it to divx . . . PayBays'vid was originally almost 800MB.

I used the new divx codec along with other settings for better video quality. the vid is not high def, just good quality . . . the only thing near high def is the aspect ratio.

I am glad you still like angel . . . that's my baby. Many people don't understand the editing in that and say it was "ok," and they miss out on the scenes and how they fit with the music (ie. the revolving doors with the sudden start of the music; the PTB scene and the flickering lights that go with the start of the high notes of the singer - action starts . . . etc.) Each video needs different editing styles

seriously, yousendit sucks in its own way too (7 days_25DLs). though mega is slow, you can just leave it in the background and go about your business while it does its. I hate ti too, though . . .I uploaded at 34kbs and people were, at times, downloading at 14kbs or so . . .

I think it's worth it though, in the absence of anything better . . . if there is anything better, then I expect people to speak up . . . so, SPEAK UP . . . if any of you know

if people would agree to upload the vid to yousendit, then you would all benefit from it . . . but as I said . . . onbly one link to yousendit is good for 7 days or 25 DLs . . . at least I uploaded twice on yousend it for this file AND megaupload . . . so don't say I aint doing my part . . . more than enough :cheesy:

and about the server . . . I am in the process of amking my own webpage to host my files and stuff . . . right now I am using cable, but I am going to get the "extreme" edition service (5mbps). I can't wait to get my own webpage . . . and I will design my own web interface using Photoshop CS2 . . . it will be phenomenal, and will look spectacular . . . the interface will blow everyone away . . . it's in my head, now all I have to do is get it into the program :doc:

Well, if you have a very very very good connection, you could host it yourself, using an Apache server or something like that. It's very easy. Im doing that instead of using msn when I'm sending files to my friends..
But I guess thats not news for you :lol: I get the impression of that you knows 10 times as much about computers than me!

And I can't say too many times how gratefull I am that ppl are making videos about Lili. Some of them really touches my emotions in different ways :tears: :wub:

It's a whole lot different in Sweden than in the US or the rest of the world for that matter. I think you guys get 10mbit upload and download while we get ~3-10mbit download (if we're lucky) and ~400kbit upload. Basically you guys get 20x the upload speed that we do. That's why it's so hard for us to host files, especially off our own computers.

Yes it is a very beautiful song, RMJ . . . I just wish I had more scenes to work with . . . What I am doing with this vid is trying to make Alizée lip-synch to Laura's song . . . I find scenes where she moves her lips in a certain way that mimicks Laura's words . . . on many scenes it works beautifully and onb some it is off . . . I thought aboput this half way through and I couldn't start over because I would ruin the timeline . . . .but who knows, I might just take some more tiume with it; though, I like it the way it is right now . . . just adding the final scene where she mimicks Laura's last phrase and then off to make the caps more beautiful before release . . . wish me luck . . . I will do translation too

And whatever vid you decide to make I know it will be beautiful on all levels . . . also, don't listen to some people (good natured though) that want to make things competitive . . . If my vids were to be competitive I would quite "the business." :wink: . . . these ahve too much meaning for contests . . . they would be cheapened.

@ PayBays: that's a good idea, but we would need to post our links on the first post of each thread so that people can find them . . .

@ eric: Premeire is going to be a headache if you have never used such programs before, but you learn fast to do nice vids; besides, it's fun to learn it

I don't think you can improve on what you have already said to me . . . THank you so much . . . I make the videos to make people feel a certain way, as I feel myself . . . I have shed quite a few tears on this forum over the years and to the outside world lookin in, they would say that something is wrong with this 32 yr old . . . oh how right they are> but for all the wrong reasons . . .

I am downloading . . .

My vid is finished but I have to fix some bugs that my stubborn computer won't let go of . . . a couplke gliches in my vid at certain spots, but if I mess with it too much, then the lip-synching effect will be shot to hell . . .

This is the scenario . . . in order for me to edit a vid , I have to reststart my project several times because it freezes and because at other times the audio gets screwed up . . . this is all do to a full HD and cheap MEM (kingston value ram should rot in hell in all eternity :twisted:

also, this vid requiered a lot of extra work because I had to render single clips to be added on in my production . . . on many caps, I couldn't just pic a vid and cut to my timeline . . .I had to record the clip again and then added a few layers so that I could do some more overlays etc . . . I almost gave up due to the poor state of my comp . . . ohne of these days it will crash on me . . . it did before and it will happen again

I won't be able to fix all the glitches in it, but it is good enough as far as the circumstances allow

1-2 days it will be uploaded . . .

P.S. I will let you guys know what to look for in the vid so that you will understand certain parts . . . otherwise some of you probably won't catch them . . . the subtle parts and the lip synching parts . . . This vid will be better than the others up till now simply on all the work it got it deserves that title . . . but this vid has certain scenes that make me smile with a grin at its beauty . . . Hope you guys see and feel what I doi in this vid

I use more than just Premiere, like Roxio (Sonic) products and Blaze media Pro for fun. But like I said so many times before, with my new comp I can bring out the big guns :cheesy:

The only thing that suckls right now the MOST is the ram . . . and the fact that I am using Athlon XP Processor with Soyo Dragon Ultra Motherboard. All of which are useless for the video editing I am capable of doing . . . it will all work out well with a new comp and an HD JVC Camera (or other) that I am dying to get my hands on. I want to put beautiful music with beautifl cinematography: LOTR . . . pan over mountains in a bent "U" track where the musical score brings out the motion you see into an audio-visual merger of such delights . . . I live for that stuff . . . and that's what I aim to do . . . . and as I have said before to you in PM, these vids I post here I consider child's play . . . although the emotion they give me is almost as good as what my advanced vids will be giving me . . . and hopefully you guys too . . . ALL FOR LILI . . . MY ANGEL
