Again, this isn't Rozier we're talking about. It's just whoever provided the info to nidalizee about the videoshoot in Cassis, the photosession with Philippe Bouley, and the possible tour in 2007 (that is all false). He first appeared in the december 25 2005 news post on nidalizee.com, cited as "a new source." So it's not a very big deal. For all we know, Alizée's return is still totally on track as we've been led to believe, just not with the details exactly as mentioned above. Or not. No way to know for sure, but this news doesn't change much.

I tell you, tough, I am kinda glad that Jeremy hasn't written songs for her; not because I would hate it outright . . . or hate him (I don't), but only because I think that it would make ALizée apear as though everyone is doing the artistic stuff, but her . . . so it would seem to the general public, you know what I mean?!?

Why?

The release dates are often given before hand. Much before even there is even plans for the video. Video shooting takes anyways only few days (the actual shooting, not editing and post-processing).

What comes to released dates of Alizée...

Moi... Lolita (which is special case tho, being her first one) music video was released 26th of July. Single was released 4th of Jyly, 3 weeks earlier. The radio play started much earlier (21th of May).

J'en Ai Marre had first video (19th of Feb) and then single release (25th of Feb). Radio play started early January (11th was official release day).

In case of other singles, they had first music video, then single release. But I don't consider these as important as ML and JEAM which were first singles from album.

Alizée just has a different, more humaine type of character then the averige popstar, and i'd say it's nothing less then healthy to say: This is the position i'm in, this is what's best for Annily, regardless of my career as singer.

Ofcourse i would like to see Alizée continue a career ASAP, but i also realize that this is an egotistical way of thinking, because it basically shows little respect for her personal life.

It's pretty obvious that if any rumors are true, that she's only gonna continue with true artists and non-comercial musicians, where the music released is created for it's quality and not it's quantity.

If money and fame was all that Alizée wanted, she would have produced a heck of a lot more trash singles and albums, just like Shitney Sphears, who releases singles while being pregnant, after giving birth, and makes a real-life soap, and jumps from one production company to another if there's any chance that she could make even one dollar more...

She might have had the baby in December 2003 and released the album in Spring of 2004, but at the time she had her baby, how far along do you think the album must have been . . . if not almost finished or finished . . . I wonder if ALizée's timeline is the same . . . (when she had her baby, how far along was the album . . . if not even a song recorded etc, then the wait might be longer than it was for Jenifer's album . . . if, when ALizée had the baby her album was well on it's way, then the wait for Alizée's album might be shorter, otherwise.)

I couldn't agree more with you, Micha, not even if I wanted to :thumbup: ! You said it perfectly, and I also think that Alizée should be good mother and wife in the first place, and then a celebrity! And if I know Her as much as I think that I know, She will release a new album when She is ready and when it is perfect. I deeply believe that She is a true artist and non-comercial musician, like you said.

I think that all artists need to be a bit comercial for success . . . let's not forget ML and the fact that she doesn't write any songs and most of the time lip-synches . . . Pop music IS comercial . . . All this waiting is really wearing me down, Waiting for rumours every day from these forums, waiting for something official, waiting for her website, waiting for some article... It's so tiring, Its even harder not living in france because i cant simply buy a magazine and read an article or turn on the TV and see an interview.

It's funny you say that, since I also recall an interview where she said she wanted to take those English classes to be able to understand what she was actually singing. And since she used them already on the English MCE songs she was also pretty aware of the meaning of the words in "La Isla Bonita" since the MCE album was recorded long before that show. Not to mention lyrics by Madonna were most likely the first lyrics she would try to translate after she had enough knowlegde.

Might be, but the interview was really spontanious (it was backstage and you also see the meeting process between Alizee and the interviewer, and there is no obvious cutting in the interview). But even so, I don't have a reason to doubt the fact that she had interest in learning English and I'm sure she is good enough in it to understand simple lyrics.

It really all depends on what is in the contract between Alizée (actually her parents because she was a minor at the time), Mylène Farmer & Laurent Boutonnat. Such as the length or if it was an exclusive contract. Contracts between artists here are private. I don't know how it works in France. My guess is it's the same.

So nobody really knows. But I do agree with RMJ, all the rumors about who she is or isn't working on a new album with have one thing in common. She is working on a new album. So maybe that's something at least. :)

“Moi… Lolita” In “Un Paso Adelante”

Ok, this isn’t really news (it is rather old) and I don’t know if this was mentioned before, but here we go. I’m sure that many of you are familiar with the Spanish TV series called “Un Paso Adelante” (I believe that appropriate English translation would be “A Step Forward”). The show is about a group of young people, adolescents, who are going to a dancing school, the best one in the country. It is very popular TV show here and it had huge World success also.

Anyway, these students have dancing teachers from different subjects, like ballet, latin-american dances etc. and they often perform dancing during their classes. Various and very famous songs are often used in the show, and one of the songs they used was “Moi… Lolita”!!!!!

I really don’t watch the show, although it is one of the better Spanish series, especially comparing to “Casandra” or something like that. A friend of mine told me that she was watching one of the episodes and she saw the performance of “Moi… Lolita”. Since she knows that I’m an Alizée freak :oops: (and she is familiar with Alizée because of me in the first place :cheesy: ), it was me who crossed her mind immediately and she told me about it next day. Of course, I immediately had an urge to watch the show :bounce: :dribble: . Luckily, there was a re-run on Sunday and I watched it.

The song was performed by an older ballet teacher and it wasn’t a bad performance. The performance was around a minute long. It was shortened for at least 3 minutes most probably because they had to fit it in the episode and some of the moves reminded me of Alizée. They were obviously familiar with the Alizée’s original performance and look, but they had to modify it. And the teacher also had the similar haircut as Alizée did during Her performances of “Moi… Lolita”. It was very nice to see one of Alizée’s songs in some TV show and somehow it was a special moment for me – a little recognition for Alizée’s tremendous work! It really felt great.

Anyway, it was the second part of the 4th episode (meaning it was actually the 5th episode) for those of you who want to see it. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to record it, therefore you won’t get a link from me (but maybe some mercy soul will post it for you :what: ).

Like I said, it’s not a big news, in fact it isn’t real “news”, but I thought it was worth mentioning it and I wasn’t sure if there was anything to discuss about it, so it ended up here, in the news section. If moderators decide it should be a separate topic, then I guess it could be put in “Alizée Discussion” thread. Feel free to move it if necessary.

Ummm.. I know what poupon means. I gues pouponner is form of it?

Tho, not sure what would be right English word, but it's nickname for baby / lil kid.

According to my dictionary, direct translation from Finnish to English would be toddler (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toddler).

But that wiki-page doesn't really describe it as I understand it in Finnish. It's much more sweet nick name. If any Finn knows what would be good English word for pallero (pikkulapsesta puhuttaessa) then please tell us. :)

This is more what the Finnish word means. It kinda describes shape of those lil babies, how roundish those babies are (pallero is kinda synonym for ball (or pallo in Finnish)).

Some news from Lo on the Alliance: This article (http://www.dvdfr.com/news/news.php?id=1013) from a few weeks ago on DVD FR talks about a new French dub that's in the works of the Disney Classic Snow White. A public opinion poll of what known artists would be good in the various rolls was taken, and the top three for Snow White were Elsa, Hélène Segara, and Alizée. Ultimately though the studio decided not to go with any of those, opting instead for Valérie Siclay (speaking voice) and Rachel Pignot (singing voice). Oh well.
