i downloaded the file. i like alizee's version of this song because her voice is more mature than france's voice even though the later is much older.
merci!

Umm... Of her own production... Atleast few Moi...Lolita performances are only partially lipsynced. And couple are not lipsynced at all:
ML - TOTP Italy (not lipsynced at all)
ML - Korea (not lipsynced at all)
ML - Star Ac 3 (with amina)
ML - Amsterdam (first few seconds are not lipsynced)
ML - Eurobest (she sings only half the song
JEAM - Stars a Domicile (singing to Jessica)
JEAM - Japan (partial show. not lip synced)
Umm.. Maybe something I missed.. Then there is the stuff that isn't her own songs of course...
And the DVD is of course not lip synced. So buying it would be good start.

Buy the DVD,you should do that.I do have Audio of Alizée singing live, but i won't share it here ( suspects a lot of people will flame him then ) So get on DC++ and get them from other members
Note: I won't be sharing Alizée En Concert DVD which is in DC++

There's also a L'Alizé performance from Hit Machine, I believe. L'Alizé is lip-synced of course, but after that, she sings a bit of Moi... Lolita a capella with the audience, very much like she did in concert.

amorsolo, there is many TOTP videos, so it's possible that you saw one that she lipsynced in. Note that the one that she's not lipsyncing in is from Italy, as RMJ wrote.

Ah.. Of course I forgot something. Thanks Moco. :)
Yes, She sings few lines of ML in Le Grand Hit (Hit Machine).
And yeah, the ML where she sings live is in Italy's TOTP.
She has sang in other TOTP shows too, but they are lipsynced.

what was she wearing on the TOTP italy video? was she wearing an orange sun/flower dress with brown/black shoes? and the band playing the music wore black?
going back to my original topic. was she singing live on the le grand hit video of the song il jouait du piano debout?

Well, no. Look at RMJ's post above, which lists the non-lipsynced performances.

Hmm.. Actually, I'm not sure. I have just always assumed so. :)
But I rewatched it now and I still think it's live one...
Is there something that makes you doubt it? I tried to look into older threads but there's no excatly any proves of it being lipsynced.
I don't think I can notice any conflict between sound and image in any part. Maybe where she claps her hands could give some hint but I'm not sure about that either... The sound is quite pure (altho the quality of soundtrack isn't best possible) and sounds bit processed but then again, it's TV show and most of them are processed anyways. No matter if it's live or not.
But if you compare the Il Jouait Du Piano Debout to PTB sung in the same show, they has totally different sound. PTB of course is lipsynced. Of course that doesn't prove anything either. PTB is recorded at studio with plenty of time used to it. If this would be lipsynced, it wouldn't be synced in similar conditions anyways.

oh I think Il jouait du piano debout is definitely lip-synced. It just sounds too perfect. Alizée's voice is good but not that good live.

I've always assumed it's lip-synced since everything on Le Grand Hit usually is, and nothing stands out there to make me think otherwise.

I don't think she should lip-synch anymore because it would make her stand out. She has the voice, but maybe the program directors and producers want the performance lip-cynched . . . if you heard the AMD live release . . . then she can manage without synchronisity with any kind of background sounds :cheesy:

I think it would do the opposite. It seems everyone in Europe (at least pop singers) lip-sync and it is no problem. I like it because it makes the videos so easy to match up for the JPVA compilation I did.

Alizée will start a revolution for pop singers hehe
you are mixing things: her business with your compilations :cheesy:
But I understand what you are getting at: Sometimes people just want to see and hear and they don't care for the details . . . I can understand that, and I don't mind her lip-synching . . . it was just a thought that seems valid and sound because she can sing . . . and she has proven it . . . you could argue, live performance MEANS live and video releases are totally different. So, if live . . . heylet us hear the artist we love so much; and that gows for any artist out there.

Hehe, yeah. Here in America you lip-sync and get caught for it you get lynched (a la Ashlee Simpson  ) But I still like lip-synced for her better. There are so many live tracks it's nice to have such consistent sound across her performances, so it's like hearing it off her CD. Besides, this is pop so lip-syncing isn't as important in my opinion since there usually isn't a legit band behind the singer. As for rock bands, if it's not live then it's unacceptable. I do get your point though and I agree that it would be nice for her to mix it up a bit (and she has in the past).

I just hope that we see Alizée performing a la non conformity. As far as legit bands go, there seemed to be one at the concerts
And, with that, I think we come to the point/realization: pop stars are more about looks, image and marketing, as opposed to rock bands (they are also into that, but it is more important for pop and the teen fans that want the visual performance that goes with the music; hence, the dance moves, etc. That's what pop is about . . . more so that for rock, for example.
Maybe I am a little off here, but at the very least I am right on the edge (close to)to that truth about pop music and live performances . . .

Yeah that was funny as hell. I don't really like lip-sync, i want to hear her real voice, not after audio enhanced. Sometimes I say to myself i don't like lip-sync but on Alizee is ok. However deep down i want to hear her real voice. I know it's hard since when live she dances real hard might be diffcult for her to sing while doing all the dance moves. They are very sexy but i liked more of those live performance where she just standing or sitting down singing with her real voice. Although i can't get enough of Alizee's sexy dance moves, I love her singing better(ofcourse she's a singer). Some artists in North America totally forgot that they are singers, they focus only on the sexy videos. Sex sells but there is a limit, i mean their songs sucks.(britney spears christina agilaura and such)

If Alizée would have sang live her MCE singles then we would not have JPVA and JEAM performances like we have now. She simply wouldn't be able to sing while dancing those. If you look at the videos where does JPVA, you'll see that she's exhausted after them. She'd be in trouble in the end of the song. (And not to mention the positions during the performance in which she'd have to sing. The voice would surely not be pure.)
When she did them in concert she didn't do the whole performance and the parts she did was less intense. For the reason give above. She has also sang JEAM and ML live and she did not do her regular performances during those, because of the very same reason.

Yes, but when she performs on a TV show, I would like her to just sing the song without all the pop dance moves . . . let's leave those for boy/girl bands. When she did the medley, ML and ACC, she just simply danced on spot to the rythm; that would allow her to sing live without having to lose her breath.

The dances are nothing of who she is . . . that's just pop stuff (yeah, I get what you mean, though). Don't worry, the dances will remain if the next album is popish.

Yeah, I agree. But on the same note, the lyrics and the music to her song are nothing of who she is, but they are things we all like her for. It was her face that originally drew me to her, it's her style and her singing that has kept me around.
