So, its no suprise that the all American Texan won the tour de france again 1, again 2, again 3, again 4, again 5, again 6, AND :cheesy: AGAIN 7 :cheesy: . But im sad that hes leaving when he probably knows he has a couple more tours to win. Good choice though, going out on a high note. I hoping he'll be like Michael Jordan, and comeback, but only be just as great.
"I liveSTRONG FOR LANCE!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yeah, I was suprised that no-one made a topic about the tour earlier. Lance is unbeatable and I was sure he'd try to win like 10 and then retire.
But it was a good choise to retire from the top. I heard he's going to start biathlon or something now.

I think he'll stay retired. I think it would be good for the sport aswell, a star like him does draw attention towards both the sport and himself, but we've had him for so long now. The sport needs competition aswell (not saying that it doesn't have it, but after having one winner for the past 7 years...)

Yep, I know what you're talking about, benficabeatsporto. I don't like'em tho, as I consider them to be a fashion thing, atleast here in Norway. You don't need a rocket scientist to figure out that I don't wear one.

Loff is right, people do use them as a fasion statement, Thats What makes me Pissed  . people forget the real meaning of it, its for kids and adults that have to deal with Cancer everyday, and some punks want to where them "just cause the look cool" (not talking about you benficabeatsporto, mean no offence to you) and then they F**ken throw it away a week later cause there are "Newer wrist bands with cooler colors". Its not a Fasion Statement its A Reminder and awareness message to others about how seriouse cancer is. The money from the liveSTRONG wristbands are also donated to the live strong foundation where they help people dianosed with cancer. Where is all the money the big Brand companys going like Champs, adiddas, and footlocker, ........................right into thier pockets!!!!!!!!

WEAR your LIVESTRONGs PROUDLY, NOT As A FASION STATMENT,
I Wear Mine FOR MY MOM who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
I HOPE ALL OF YOU DO THE SAME but for your own reasons.

I'm glad Lance won.But on the other side i'm not happy he has won

Why am I happy that he won:

Well,i know he's training very hard.Even on Christmas evening he rides around on his bycicle. Not to mention, that he has cancer, that he overwon. That's so special about him

Why ain't i happy that he won:

Discovery Channel is 1 of the teams that where's earphones. They contact eachother with the boss and he CALCULATES what he can do the best.

I'm glad next year will be more exciting!

It's amazing the determination of Armstrong. He did exactly what he needed to do in the mountain stages in order to stay ahead, then, wishing to earn at least one stage win in his final race, he went out and dominated the time trials on Saturday.

Sean and I went to the Champs Elysées yesterday to see the riders come to Paris. There was a huge crowd there as usual including plenty of American tourists, American flags, and Texas flags. It was a thrill to see Armstrong in person in his last big competitive race, and a strange feeling to hear the Star-Spangled Banner while walking the streets of Paris. :P

Armstrong is one of a kind, simply put.

Yeah it seems like Vinokourov will be the leader for discovery next year, but my money is firmly on Ivan Basso, the only guy who kept with Armstrong in nearly every way but the time trials.

It's gonna be fun next year though, cos it's so wide open.

Armstrong is really wise. He choose to retire when he won 7 amazing championships. If he keep on competing, I believe he will get another one!!!
Agassi should know this, he should retire too, don't you think so?

He was the greatest ever. Everyone should see that nike commercial with the segment from his 1998 press conference when he says, "... and I hope to one day return to race as a professional cycler". What an understatement.
