A question really came to mind the other day when I thought about Alizee. Was it really fate that brought her to celebrity stardom? To meet MF in that way? Not too many people become a star at such a young age, and Alizee was born in a country that is not really a big, popular place! I guess it is true that God has a plan for everyone. Alizee was just a lucky one to become a star so early. And look at what she has done. She has accomplished alot in her 4-5 years, and she has had an influence on people like us. Alizee was just born to change peoples lives it seems. :cheesy:. And it may be just me, but Alizee is so different than alot of other stars out there, even here in the U.S. Just her charm, and her looks, very "different". I could put a really beautiful supermodel beside Alizee and compare to see who was really more beautiful, and I would choose Alizee, because there is just something about her that attracts me! and im sure alot of people here as well. Perhaps she really is an angel..
And I Hope I can meet her one day!
This is what I posted yesterday, and im sticking to it.
I hear ya.
I agree with what he said as well. I am thinking of trying to meet alizee as a goal in the future. I mean, how could anyone not resist? To me, she is different from any other star I know. this girl has charm, and shes the only angel on earth man! shes perfect.(ya'll know what im saying), so of course I would like to meet her. who knows what the future brings am I right? God willing I still have a long way to go. I am a believer that if you have sights set on your goals, and you're willing to work your ass off for it, you can accomplish anything.
I cannot wait till I go to france

Everything happens for a reason, I guess. Glad fate had something to do with her.

I don't believe in fate.
I believe in limited control of one's destiny. A person can have tremendous impact on where he or she is going in life, but ultimately, there are things that are simply out of control of that person and can derail that person's goals. For example, I can't help it if a hurricane is going to ruin my summer plans, but it can happen; otherwise, my course is set.
If you ask me, it was 1/3rd luck, and the rest was singing talent and beauty.

I guess it is true that God has a plan for everyone.
Absolutely. Though it was up to her to pursue everything she did, along with encouragement from her parents, don't forget about them.

I think god only offeres opportunity through inspiration and ideas. if opportunity = fate than I can agree... but thats a really vague format for god to choose.

Yes, but ultimately everything boils down to the God-given gift of free will. In other words, you have the wheel.
You can point yourself in a direction and drive towards that direction. Chances are if you are persistent enough, you can succeed, but sometimes there are things that block the way that are out of your control.
I think with Alizee's case, opportunity came to her, and she took it, which goes to show that you've got to seize the opportunity when it comes. They do not come around often. If no opportunity comes, no problem. Just point yourself in the direction you want to move and drive forward the old-fashioned way.

especially when you live in a capitalist society where the poorest guy can become rich if he worked hard at it and had strength both emotinal and physical
As for Alizee, A lot of it had to with being at the right place at the right time with just the lucky curcumstances........You can call it fate....but in the end Fate will be what you make yourself as........

well, what I dont believe is that, "everything Happens for a Reason" that is the most BS i'v heard. that saying is for people who want to believe life is a fantasy.
if everything happens for a reason would you say that to some one who was just raped, or how about to the people of the london bombings? hell no, what is the reason behind that?. I will say that, its all about choices. kinda like the matrix. examples. choose the blue or the red pill. bomb inocent ppl, or go about my day as a happy human being. hummm....................

Well, this is why I only believe in limited control of one's destiny. I don't believe in fate because it lies in direct contradiction to God's gift of free will, and I'd say the only destiny a person has is the destiny he tries to make for himself.
If you think your destiny occupies a place in the scheme of things that will bring you much recognition and power, then you've got to work for it and try to make it happen. Either you fail, or you succeed, but because your ability to affect your future is limited, it may not turn out the way you want it to.
For instance, you could be the next biggest musician to hit the scene since Michael Jackson or Madonna back in the 1980s, but your career is cut short because your plane malfunctioned and you died like Buddy Holly or the Big Bopper or Lynrd Skynrd or Aliyah.

The world is a strange place and our lives even more stranger
Our knowledge about our own consciousness/unconsciouness is limited and how our brain works is barely understood
much less the real physcological marvels our gray matter seems to be able to perform
