btw what exercises do you do Moco?
Just some cardio (usually treadmill, sometimes elliptical) and some freeweights. Nothing too heavy though, but just enough to keep me in relatively good shape.

(A spin-off from my random inquiry)

Do you guys exercise at all? So what do guys do for exercising? And are you going for the waif, lean, or bulky look?

@ Moco the elliptical is like the bicycle right? If so, then it burns fat more effectively in a short time compared to the treadmill.

Well, I don't exercise everyday ... only when I have time. When I'm in the mood I drop and give myself 20 heh.

^ same. I ply football ( soccer ) almost every night, in a league or cup games. Very hard work, so i get all my training that way. When we don't play, we train.

Yeah, it's like the stationary bike, but you stand up and your arms hold on to these bars that go back and forth that move along with the pedals. It's kind of like cross-country skiing, I guess. I'm not sure if it burns more fat or not, but I prefer the treadmill since I seem to work up a sweat faster on that and it really gets my lungs pumping. Maybe I just need to increase the resistance on the elliptical to get the same results, but I like the treadmill so much better.

Burning callories is more of inclining the balance of ingested callories and consumed ones throughout exercises, for the consumed callories with a plus of minimum 500 more then the ingested ones. So it's really not the exercise you do but how many callories you burn. Make sure you burn more then you ingested.

I always believed you burn more when you sleep. Its not really about working out at the gym. It is more of eating healthy, playing soccer and sleeping for the correct amount of time. =)

You kinda burn 6 Joules per minit while asleep

But for cycling ( like tour le France ) you lose about 42 a minit. And i loved to do that

I usually exercise in the morning..sittups, pushups, etc. In the afternoon I usually go skating for about 4 hours depends on the weather.

Do you do exercise the gym or in your home? I have a treadmill at home & only tread on it, not run (do you run on it btw? For how long do you stay on it?). For 30 minutes of walking, I only burn 200 calories. My trainer at the gym made me use the ellipticals (at level 1) for a good 10 mintues & I already burned 189 cals in such a short time comapred to the treadmill. My thighs were severely weakened from the initial usage, though.
