I voted no, however, it seems like Alizee is following after some other famous singers in trying to constantly change her image from one album, song, appearance, to the next. I guess the logic is that if you are always doing something new, people won't grow tired of you.

It's worked well for Madonna and Christina Aguilera. If you look at them, they always pop up with a new image (although both of them are sort of slutty no matter what they do). They both remain popular. The terminology is "reinventing" themselves, you hear that all the time.

Maybe Alizee is trying not to be trapped into any one certain kind of image and constantly evolve. The only thing there is, you have to stay on a good track and not go too far opposite from your fan base or you risk running off the tracks altogether....if she goes to far in a punk direction, it will be hard to take her seriously, at least for me.

That wouldn't be good. As much as people yearn for the "good old days", rehashing the past is not a good marketing strategy. In order for artists to succeed, they need to change and grow, especially when you're best known for being a lolita. Do you want to her to still be singing lolita-type songs when she's 40? I would hope not.

As for the lip piercing, I'm in the "I don't mind it" category. I actually like the idea of a lip piercing better than a tongue piercing, which sounds a lot grosser. I'd rather not see her go all out with piercings and tatoos, but a little "edge" to her image would be good for her.

Agreed. That's not to say that she should do a complete "about face" and go in a totally new direction, but you're right, a little "spice" wouldn't hurt. The only problem is that often the general public confuses "spice" with "sleeze" so she has to be careful. Then again, as long as SHE is happy, that's all that really matters.

Then there will be those that blame it all on Jeremy's influence and start bashing him for it blah, blah, blah.... She's her own person. It's her choice, influence or none.

You know, it just occurred to me that maybe the reason that some stars alter their image so dramatically between appearances, is to prove that they are "bigger" than their image. (or maybe "become" bigger than their image)

Well, I wasn't attaching any "erotic assumptions" on her tongue ring. In fact it's gross when such an accessory is used for you-know-what. Just put yourself in her shoes. If the same thing happened to you, you'd probably post the story too. Anyone who meets a celebrity would be excited about it and would want to tell people about it. Uh, she joined last summer (her pseudo is jennymini) and made a few posts, and the post describing the meeting was her first since last September, so I doubt she's trying to seek attention by concocting a random story about meeting her. She seems to be more of a casual fan who happened to run into her and decided to share her story, as Moco said. As for the rest of the Alliance members, none of them doubted her story. Not to say that it's 100% sure she didn't make it up, but I find it hard to believe it was all fabricated "to get attention from the Alliance boys." She went through the trouble of describing Alizée's appearance, down to her hair which has grown out and was curled at the end; if this was untrue, she'd be taking a big risk, for example, of someone else contradicting her with picture evidence of a different hairstyle.

On a Mylène forum, another person posted their story about being in the same tattoo parlor when Alizée got her piercing, in the same neighborhood where Jenny saw her. Unless this is some insane conspiracy, it lends even more credence to Jenny's story.

I did not know the full facts as you described them Mark, but i guess if it true, then i owe her an apology. Imo though, i still do not believe she has a piercing. I'm pretty sure it's a labret piercing too, me and Mark have spoken about it and as the original post said it's like the one emma Daumas has then that says all i need to hear.

As for liking it, i'm impartial, she obviously fancied having one so good luck to her for that, it's fashion, and self presentation, it's not a change in mental state or musical taste, it's just a piercing.

As Mark said, maybe not the best idea to take your daughter to a place where you're getting a piercing, but at the same time it's pleasant to see a young mother who likes to be with her child a lot of the time. In fact, since the baby was born, i haven't seen or heard anything where Alizée hasn't been with baby, and i think that can only really be seen as a good thing...

If her only other alternative that day was to leave the baby outside while she had the piercing done inside, then of course, it's a no brainer :P

And personally, I don't see what's the big deal about bringing her baby to tattoo parlor. I'd imagine France would have strict health codes about those places, as they do in the US. No no.. No, no no . A tattoo parlor is no place for a child, let alone a baby. It is just basic common sense not to take your child into a tattoo parlor. I always thought there was some kind of age restriction about having kids even sitting inside the place. Not to mention, who was looking after AnnyLee while she was getting it done.

You do NOT take your child to a place like that. Sure they have health and safety codes ofc, i know all about those as i work with health and safety everyday. It doesn't matter if it is the cleanest place in the world, do you know the kind of diseases that you can get from places like that.. what if one of the employees slipped and did not sterilize one of the instruments, or the floor was not sterilized before she went in, by some wild mistake. I sure as hell would not want my child anywhere near a place like that. Then again, i have more sense to actually not get a tattoo in the first place. Not only would i never subject myself to the risk of getting aids, i would never take my child anywhere near a place like that.

It is funny really, all you guys saying it is not a bad thing. You ( most ) can post all you want about "what if" is a clean place and the tools are always cleaned, area cleaned ect.. Mistakes happen, and it is a risk i would not subject my child too! Not at the tender age she is at this moment because of my carless selfish issues.

I see Children in my own Mother's Tattoo parlours all the time, and believe me, they're a lot safer than in a childrens playground where there are many more dangers.

There's a specialised area for piercings tattoos and the like, they don't just do it while people mingle around them, it's totally safe, and assuming Lili went to one like i saw today in Paris, it's state of the art sanitation and it's honestly not going to be a problem.

If they let the children into the actual Area then yeah, that's contravening some rules or other but the only problem children have in tattoo parlours is themselves, annoying other people, and Alizée's child is too young for that.

i'm sure she was in no more danger than in the street, what if Alizée is walking with her baby behind someone who smokes? there is more risk in that alone than in a safe area in a tattoo parlour for a few mins

My old friend had earrings when she was child but she didn't wear them in like 10 years. Couple years ago, she wanted earrings again but she didn't find the holes anymore. So, she asked me to look if I could get the earrings on place but all I found was lil scars to remind of the holes.

But I think you are right. The holes can stay forever. They aren't open wounds so there's no need body to try to heal them. Altho, if there's some skin problems near the holes it might start the process that makes the hole disappear...

Piercing in the ears looks nice, but it can also cause alot of pain.

To stick needles in ur ears can cure pain. I think it is a Chinese method, but its used all over the world.
If you pace a needle wrong in you ear, it can cause alot of pain and effect the whole body.

At least during Mademoiselle Juliette clip, it was taken off. During it's obvious that it isn't there anymore. But of course it could have had taken off during the shooting of the clip.

But... I can't really find any signs of it from the interviews either (not that we get so good look into her mouth anyways during them... but I should be able to see some signs of it if it were there... ).

I really wonder if she got rid off it totally. Like she did with the lip piercing, too.

Well, her tastes changes. She took it back in 2004 when she had more punkish style. She took also the lip piercing (or chin stud or whatever you want to call it) little later.

But once her style changed again, after become mother, she dropped the chin thing off. And later obviously also this lip piercing, too.

Totally possible that she gets it back someday, unless of course really got tired of it. But for now, it ain't there.

Maybe it doesn't fit the current style she has in personal life.

The lip piercing doesnt have to leave a scar, i had one aswell, i had a little ring trough my lip but its out for a year now and i dont have a scar, only scars/holes i still have are in my ears, but i usually put stuff trough it :p

Also the human tongue heals very fast, you cant tell if someone ever had a piercing there, the only one that can leave a nasty scar is in the bellybutton
