I've just bought a new dvd-r.Previously i had no cd-r or dvd-r.I connected to my computer properly(i hope so).The driver appears when i open "My Computer".It also reads cds and dvds with no problem. The problems begin when i try to burn a cd-dvd.When attempting to run nero a message appears saying "Nero caused an error to nview.dll. Nero will close"(or something like that because i've translated it from greek).I've downloaded several burning programs but the problem insists. Can anyone help?

You have a currupt code in the Nview.dll.

It will be easier for you to replace the file.

Advance to C:/windows/Sys32

( If it is not there, search your computer for this DLL, and untick the hideen folders )

Delete nview.dll ( maker sure it is not "inuse" . If it is, simply reboot, or reboot in safe mode and then delete the file.)

Then, download
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/download.php?nviewdownload0UEdUBaIhO

Simply drag and drop this file inside the old folder ( sys32, or the old folder in which you deleted it )

reboot.

If that doesnt work, you may need to install the corrupt files, using your drivers, or windows XP cd.

If all fails, you can always try the dll fixers..

Oh, its also worth adding, if it is not the DLL that is damaged, get NERO from download.com, Reboot, then install it. When installing it, close all applications, exept for nero

Thank you David but the problem has changed now beforing I install a new nview.dll. My DVD-R doesn't even read the cd or dvds I insert. Now all the programs open but it says there's no disc in the dvd-r. I don't know what's wrong.I want to throw my computer off my window.

First, check to make sure your using - dvds. When i first bought my DVD+R i used - dvds, big mistake lol.

Also, check its installed right. I don't know the details, but when i installed mine a while ago, im sure i had to make one a master and one a slave.

Yeah, you might need to adjust the jumper settings on the back of the drive. It should be set to Master. If you get another drive, set it to Slave.

I think I've installed right because when i turn on my computer on the first black screen it recognises the dvd-r exactly as i've installed. My old dvd-rom is the master in the secondary ide and the dvd-r is the slave.Furthermore, when i firstly installed the dvd-r it run every disc.
