Jang & Me in NYC

So Mike (JangoFett9232002) was visiting New York from Ohio this week. Here are some pics from yesterday:

First we went to the MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art).

Cool. And yeah, my back is a bit better... though getting up and moving around is the best thing for it anyway (sitting is the absolute worst, unfortunately! Hope it holds out on my 8-hour flight to Paris later this summer...).

The book... is this pretty worthless A to Z guide for children. Dates back from the Gourmandises era... it's part of a whole series of children's books on various artists. It's nothing special, but was just a few euros in Fnac, so I figured what the hell...

The word "roman" is French for novel. The site says it's just a paperback novel and implies nothing about a romance.

I was talking to Dusty about meeting up last year, but things never materialized. Perhaps a Pacific Northwest Alizée encounter could be in the works? Seattle is less than two hours away for me.

a Roman is a love story ( doesn't have to be love always ).Are roman is,sometimes,about someones life and love for something.A roman could be something like a diary.You could say,the parts where Lolita is on the hotelroom,is a roman.

I've booked a flight that departs from Vancouver on the morning of the 21st to JFK airport. I won't get there until the evening. I'll also have my luggage with me. My plan was to go to NJ that night to crash at my friend's place. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's completely within the realm of possibility to meet up on 8/21, although I would miss the large part of the day.

If I had known about this meeting, I would have booked to fly out of Vancouver a day or two earlier. As it is right now, I'll arrive at JFK at around 10pm. (Guess what music I'm going to be listening to my whole time on the plane. :mrgreen: ) 10pm is a bit late, but I'd like to make it if possible. If the meeting goes late into the night, then I'll probably be able to make it. August 21st falls on a Sunday however, so I don't know if you guys have any weekday obligations like school or work. I can make it on the 22nd, but it would be a shame if I missed the fan meeting by a day.

The Virgin music store was such a good time, we rampaged the French section, and Snatcher42 politely put back a misplaced album. :cheesy:
