Moi... Lolita -- 10/10 - Extremely well done, thought even better of because it was her first song.
Lui ou toi -- 5/10 - I don't really like slow songs all that much..
L'Alizé -- 10/10 - Definitely one of her best, the music is composed perfectly, suiting Alizée's beautiful voice without any flaws.
J.B.G. -- 8/10 - 10/10 first few times, slowly decresed.
Mon Maquis -- 10.1/10 - Best.
Parler tout bas --5/10 - I don't really like slow songs all that much..
Veni Vedi Vici -- 8.5/10 - Good, and I like it a little more than Abracadabra.. and .5 is a little.
Abracadabra -- 8/10 - Found it a little too repetitive, still well-sung, though.
Gourmandises -- 10/10 - Definitely one of her best.
A quoi rêve une jeune fille -- 6/10 - Can't really say why... just not her best material.

J'en ai marre -- 8/10 - The meaning is a little obscure to me, though very well-sung. (Is the meaning much like that of "I'm Fed Up?")
A contre-courant -- 9/10 - I love the lyrics, too bad the music is almost the exact same thing looped throughout the entire song.
Toc de mac -- 9/10 - Very good. Up beat, awesome.
Amélie m'a dit -- 9/10 - No clue why.. I like it a lot, though.
C'est trop tard -- 9/10 - Pretty good, kind of rock-ish (A good thing)
Tempête -- 6/10 - I don't really like slow songs all that much, though this was better than the others.
J'ai pas vingt ans -- 9/10 - It's just plain good.
Hey ! Amigo ! -- 8/10 - Couldn't tell you why, I just like it.
L'E-mail a des ailes -- 7/10 - Probably the only "slow" song I liked, perhaps because it was the least so.
Youpidou -- 7/10 - Good. Nice and up-beat.
Yoopidou -- 7/10 - Best English version out of them.
Cœur déjà pris -- 5/10 - I don't really like slow songs all that much..
I'm fed up! -- 6/10 - Better than the English version of JPVA.. but still not spectacular.
I'm not twenty!-- 4/10 - I really dislike this version... it's just plain bad.

Il jouait du piano debout -- 7/10 - It's okay.. lyric's are decent, though the music is pretty catchy! (Thanks, ternuc)
Ella, Elle l'a -- 10/10 - Definitely one of the best. I must have watched this video around 200 times by now. (And I know exactly what you're talking about with the "R," Bondius)
Ma Priere -- ?/10 - Haven't heard
La Isla Bonita -- 8/10 - Good interpretation, I like it a lot better than the original.

I'm just going to keep updating this every once in awhile, every few days, maybe once a week, maybe a little longer if none of my opinions change.

I see none of you have heard Il Jouait du Piano Debout. Since it's one of my favorite songs I'll add the .mp3 here and try to upload the video tonight. IMO, she looks the best in the video performance.

Moi...Lolita - 9/10 What an excellent song to start off an album.
Lui ou Toi - 6/10 Not one of favourites I'm afraid.
L'alizé - 8/10 Excellent song though it hasn't got that certain something to it.
J.B.G - 9/10 Think this song is brilliant. Really one of the best.
Mon Maquis - 6/10 Same reason as for Lui ou Toi.
Parler tout bas - 8/10 An excellent ballad and of course the 3rd single.
Veni Vedi Vici - 7/10 It's a good song, it has a cool rhythm but not one of the best.
Abracadabra - 8/10 I really like this song, it's an odd song but it's kinda cool.
Gourrmandises - 10/10 My favourite Alizée song...no other comment.

Just kidding. I do love CTT though, even more so live. Other than that and a couple other small discrepancies, your ratings are very similar to what mine would be, if I wasn't so lazy that I don't want to type it all up.

her singing is sweet on CTT.....but the music/rythmn of it is pretty lame......

Okay... I suppose I'm way overdue for an update... but here it goes:

Gourmandises average = 8.10/10

Moi... Lolita -- 10/10 - Extremely well done.
Lui ou toi -- 4.5/10 - Her worst ballad... just not good. It's down there with her English-version songs.
L'Alizé -- 10/10 - Definitely one of her best, the music is composed perfectly, suiting Alizée's beautiful voice without any flaws.
J.B.G. -- 8/10 - 10/10 first few times, slowly decreased.
Mon Maquis -- 10/10 - Best song. #1
Parler tout bas --8/10 - Didn't like it at first... but it grew on me.. a lot.
Veni Vedi Vici -- 7.5/10 - Decent, I like it a little more than Abracadabra.. and .5 is a little.
Abracadabra -- 7/10 - Found it a little too repetitive, still well-sung, though.
Gourmandises -- 10/10 - Definitely one of her best.
A quoi rêve une jeune fille -- 6/10 - Can't really say why... just not her best material.

Mes Courants Electriques Average=7.32/10

J'en ai marre -- 9/10 - Very good...
A contre-courant -- 9.5/10 - I love the lyrics, music is good, just too bad it is almost the exact same thing looped throughout the entire song.
Toc de mac -- 9/10 - Very good. Up beat, awesome.
Amélie m'a dit -- 8.5/10 - No clue why.. I like it, though.
C'est trop tard -- 8/10 - Pretty good, kind of rock-ish (A good thing)
Tempête -- 7.5/10 - Okay... not her top ballad, though.
J'ai pas vingt ans -- 9/10 - Not favorite.. but one of her best nonetheless.
Hey ! Amigo ! -- 8/10 - Couldn't tell you why, I just like it.
L'E-mail a des ailes -- 7/10 - Definitely not among my favorites... but still good.
Youpidou -- 7/10 - Okay. Nice and up-beat.
Yoopidoo -- 5/10 - Best English version out of them.. still not amazing, though
Cœur déjà pris -- 8/10 - Didn't like it at first.. but it grew on me.. a lot.

Ella, Elle l'a -- 10/10 - Definitely one of the best. I must have watched this video around 200 times by now. (And I know exactly what you're talking about with the "R," Bondius)
Ma Priere -- ?/10 - Haven't heard
La Isla Bonita -- 8/10 - Good interpretation, I like it a lot better than the original.. but I don't like the original all that much anyway.

Though I will admit, I like her French versions of every song much better with the exception of Youpidoo. It's about equal to Youpidou imo. Amélie takes second place for best English song. :cheesy:

I'm not really sure how you took my comment, but I'll explain it anyway. By that I meant the only reason it got higher than a 0 was because she was singing it.. and her voice is amazing, rivaled by very few (IMO). I really just don't like the song at all... same with all the English version.. this one just destroyed the rhythm the most.. and with these versions, the rhythm is all I really listen to. The lyrics are mutilated.. the music is just taken from the original.

It is all about the tune. I think the English versions are as good, if not better than the french. To me, the french doesnt make any sense, as i don't understand alot of it. So, the English version is alot more clear for me. I really love them both alot, i would give them both 10/10, but i guess if we all did that, then there would be no point in reviews. BTW, you know im kidding when i say "are you insane" , i don't mean that as it sounds. It is just an expression we say over here for " wow, i dissagree" .. anyway, you get the picture. VVV continues to be the most underrated Alizée song.

After a long time as a fan, considering Gourmandises better, i'm going to give MCE the favor... i've changed my mind a bit. I swear, this happened before I even went through with this, and if it didn't work out, I probably would have bumped Abracadabra down to 6/10 or something. :P

As you can see, I tend to rate Alizée's songs a little highly! :cheesy:

Another funny thing has happened lately... I appreciate CTT more than I used to. I like the instrument work near the end...

And the other thing that's changed for me in the last month or so...I'm now a huge fan of Cœur déjà pris, you can probably thank the likes of Benjamin Biolay, and The Beatles for this recent change of taste.

well really no song of Alizée is bad, but if I'd say the worst one in my opinion then it'd be Mon maquis.

I really dont know how people can like this song so much. I dont say I hate it, but the song is so strange... and the voices in the background are fucking scary. I would really never listen to that Song if it was not from Alizée I think... The best song is A quoi rêve une jeune fille for me.

Agree it is an amazing song. She is not really singing but talking in this song. It is pure amazing to hear Alizée talking like that in the song, for long periods of time!! Very rare and amazing! :oops:

Toc de Mac is calm in the middle.Mon Maquis has a calm background.
