I came across this website below and was truly...and I mean truly digusted by this critic's review. Let's all go there and give this critic our fist in his face and ride him out of his job. This guy is just a total jerk!

Ok I posted mine (Bogdan, Romania) but I don't know when it will show up. He's a complete idiot... that's a clear insult to Alizee and her fans. If I get my hands on him, he'll regret the day he posted that crap.

I wonder if he still has the job (honestly,I would be very surprised)...he wrote this garbage 3-4 years ago,in 2002.I will post as soon as Bogdan's reply is posted.Otherwise,I don't want to spend my time on something that maybe even won't be posted and honestly,his review is not even worth reading.But as soon as Bogdan's post becomes visible,I'll write and :evil: that sleezy invertebrate will regreat the day he was born!

If they don't like Alizée, so what.... People here on Alizee-forum call Britney Spears a slag, slut ect.. that is no different from what they are doing. It is swings and roundabouts... Well the difference is that this guy's a published music critic. What was he thinking? But still, this was written in like 2001 - I doubt anyone's still paying any attention to it guys. Heaven knows it certainly didn't hurt her sales.

Yes, but still. It doesnt matter who the person is, everyone has a different opinion. If i was going to give me review for something like Metalica, as i hate Metal music, it would be the same. He clearly doesnt like the track Moi Lolita, he gave his review.. fair enough. That is the beauty about places like that, others can almost cancel out his review by their own comments. Forgive me, i thought it was one of those hate forums, i don't even read reviews about Alizée that are stupid. So i just assumed it was a forum of some sort. But, to say you want to kill him ect, i mean. "o.m.g" ( i know you guys are kidding tho )

Yeah, was just pointing out that it wasn't another forum thread or similar. And yeah, there will always be bad reviews - nothing to get excited about. Still, this guy does seem like a rather poor reviewer. Didn't do his homework (no mention of Mylène Farmer or anything) and see, if you don't like Metal and I was BBC Manchester, I wouldn't hire you to write Metallica reviews. ;)

I guess it's everybodys right to write what they want. Freedom of speech is a huge part of democracy. But of course, who doesn't hate when someone write things like that! But anyway.. i've learned to not take too personally on these kinda reviews.
Anyway.. i think they got hold of a wrong critic :P... He must have been a folkmusic critic or something :P

gotta agree with David....I mean, what is a review if the reviewer can't tell what HE feels and thinks about the song/album/film/whatever...what good and point would there be if all the reviews were praising the artist.
Sure, his review here might offend the fans of Lili, but everyone has the right to say what he/she thinks...that's what pretty much makes it a review...

Yes, true, but all he said about her was bad. I don't think that he dislikes ALL about Alizee ... by my opinion, he should have considered that it was just the begining of her career. Yea, he doesn't like the song, but that doesn't mean he starts making the producers "monkeys" and so on. A review has to be serious ... that thing was more like a flame-starter.

What's the use in replying to that OLD review. The song is around for 5 years. It's hardly selling (compared to the numbers from a few years ago), and I'm sure nobody reads that review anyway.
Besides this kind of ppl won't change their opinion, I doubt he ever heard the song properly, since it's hardly a proper described review... but whatever. I couldn't care less.

Ok,first I have to say that I didn't see any aditional posts from yesterday on that site,nor Bogdan's neither anyone else's,so most probably it is an old topic,like some og the people said previously.I agree it is an old topic and that you/we are talking to a brick wall...And of course,there is always a freedom of speech-anyone can say anything.
But,the point is-his "review" wasn't really a review! First of all,if you get a job as a critic,it is normal that you have to say negative things occasionaly and that's ok.But you must be a professional-you must know the topic that you are talking about,and this guy even didn't read the song correctly.He doesn't know what "Lolita" concept is,he probably didn't watch the movie or read the book,he doesn't understand French,he doesn't know anything (ok,maybe he knows something) about Mylene Farmer and Laurent Boutonant!!! And yet,he dared to talk about Alizee and her song "Moi...Lolita".Even that would be ok,because not everyone has to know these facts (yes,I'm pretending that I FORGOT that it is his JOB to know the facts because he IS a critic :roll: ),but he completely insulted Her and all Her fans!!! It was almost blaspheme and that's what hurts and what this is all about!
Anyone can be a critic,but first go and find some real facts,introduce yourself to a matter that you will be talking about,and then give a critic (positive or negative,doesn't matter) in a manner of a gentleman,with decent words and facts,not with some garbage and bunch of insults.
That is what makes a differance between a real critic and this idiot! He is not insulting MF, or her work with Alizée. I guess he just hates Moi Lolita. He is not attacking Alizée either. He gave his review on her song and lyrics. The only person he is attacking is maybe laurent, as he calls the backing track " made by monkeys"
It is a shame there had to be a personal attack, he could have just stuck to the song itself. However, it is his opinion, whatever some of you guys think. He did do his homework, but i guess he just doesnt like MF lyrics and Laurents music and Alizée's voice. Strange guy, but there we go.
However, yeah.. we all gave our opinions on this a while ago, and also to other reviews we have read, so no use talking about it over and over.
