I recently discovered a song named "Alizee" and my curiosity rose.
The song is from an older band, "Trial of the Bow" (I didn't even heard of it) from the album "Rite of Passage". You can find more info here:

So does anyone have that song? Or at least can anyone get it (since I didn't find it on DC :what:)

Wasn't gonna bother searching until I saw this:

But the proverbial jewel in the metaphorical crown here is definitely the finalé Alizee. It seems as though Trial of the Bow are one of those bands who love a good finalé, and enjoyable though the rest of the album is you are in for a surprise when the ID pointer on your CD player reaches 10. Having all but disappeared after Father of the Flower, the monkish vocals return here with a vengeance, now taking on quite a Gregorian flavour and accompanied by bowed double bass and other low, whirring instruments. The melody is simple and incredibly strong. The vocal sound has a 'richness' and 'thickness' that gives the impression of great age. The only thing to which I could reasonably compare Alizee is the intro to the opening track on Loreena McKennit's album The Mystic's Dream (though the former is heavier and even darker). Hope that enlightens at least a few readers. Suffice to say otherwise that I really think you should hear Rite of Passage, even if only for its spectacular final throes.

After that, how could I not take a look!

OT but, whatever happened to that band "Alizé" ?

Did they actually sue Alizée , or not? Have they still got their name?

Thanx alot, Snatcher. I'm downloading it right now :cheesy: hope it's worth it ...

I can't find a reason to sue Alizée ... the band was "Alizé" (the wind) ... I don't think it's a good reason :what:
They'd rather sue: http://newmusic.clearchannel.com/artist/alize

Hmm... imo, it's not.

BTW, haven't heard anything more about that 'Alizé' band. Anyone else?

sorry i was really talking to snatcher, with all due respect, it was not a Noobs question. A long time ago we talked about the band sueing her, because her name was too close to "Alizé" and they claimed she was spoiling there name, and there sales dropped, or something. We didnt hear anything more of it, so i was just asking if Alizé actually went ahead and sued her, or did she win the case.

Seeing as the song really has nothing to do with Alizée other than the same name, I'm moving this to General. The song's not bad, though.

wow, that must be like 300 times you have used that same face in all of your posts this past few days. You have wore it out...

Anyway, i wasnt being sarcastic, i meant what i said. I asked the question to the longer serving members who understand what i am talking about, so lose the attitude.

Come on you guys, just drop it. It seems like you two are fighting in every other thread and you should know that this forum is not the place to do that. But since the request in the first post has already been fulfilled, I see no reason to keep this thread open as it seems like all it's doing is providing a place for more pointless argument. David, if you want to continue the Alizée vs Alizé subject, just find the threadin the news section.
