The french houses are old, but no way ugly. The French builders are not just builders, but master craftsmen. The old churches and houses are the main resaon i like France. The workmanship is amazing!

Well, I live in southern France. Enough said isn't it?
There is no typical style of French houses. If you go in Alsace and then in Brittany or Toulouse you'll have the sensation to change of country.
Personally I live in a house that looks like an old stone one, but it's of modern conception. Almost at the feet of the pyrenees and with a 180° view over the mountains. Nothing I would complain about.
I've been in Spain, Hungary, Czech Republic, California and England (about everywhere in), but I won't trade the southwest France for any of those.

Nah, they are grand old construction of times past. Some places it's beautiful, most places it's not as well kept. The smell is often because there are no laws to pick up after your pets.
But all in all it's a beautiful country especially up in Normandy where I walked at least 60 miles around the area just taking it all in. Paris is a wondrous city if you have some money to spend and so much to see and experience. It's basically a place you have to visit in your life.

France is an amazing country. I've been to Paris & Poitiers and loved going to both. The architecture in France is the best. Just look at the monuments in Paris (Eiffel Tower & Arc du Triomphe - For example).
Corsica is a beautiful country, especially Ajaccio, the harbours and that are so cool !!

We've got our own house in France. I'm going there within 5 weeks again, and I've been to France a million times. And I've been to a lot of different cities and villages in France. What I think of the French? Well, there are a lot of old grandfathers with nig and naked bellies, lol. And there are hardly any blond people, almost everybody has dark hair. And the French don't speak English(well, a lot of them don't, ofcourse there are always exceptions!) And their accent can be horrible... example: "That's horrible" sounds like: Zsat ease orribel. So it's a lot of fun speaking english with the French  But I really like the people. The are very friendly and welcoming, and they can cook very well, and I love French radio. But I don't like the fact that everything(on tv) is sinchronised to French. Maybe that's why they don't speak english very well...
But I love France, and I love the French. I would like to live there and be a teacher there one day:)
I was talking about big bellies. Their bellies look like the heads of monkeys(with all the hair and stuff)

I've been to Paris twice. First time didn't excite me too much, but the second time was really nice with all the forum buddies and such. I'm looking forward to going back in January for Mylène.
The second trip also included a brief, albeit fun and exciting, stopover in Orléans. Very nice little place, though I can imagine it getting dull in large doses. Anyway, in case anyone is interested and still hasn't seen, I have tons of pics and reports of that trip here:

Yes, I have been there 2 years ago, for my holidays. It is very nice, it is like my country (I am from Greece), as it has tall mountains, but lots of beautiful beaches too. I consider going there again this year, for my holidays, for 1 or 2 weeks. 8)

One thing that bothered about tourism in France is that people know only a bunch of things: Paris, the Azure Coast and the Alps.
The atlantic coast is wonderful too, different of the Azure coast but still charming if you like long sand beachs and dunes. The pyrenees are very well preserved and have some of the most impressive landscapes of France (I know that, I live near those), and there are tons of very nice cities in France like Strasbourg, Annecy or Dijon (I could name tons of cities) that deserve to be visited.

One of my favorite places is a town of a friend of mine, an itsy bitsy tiny town north of Paris that's in the countryside. There were some cool castles to visit there, but for the most part the best thing was just being cut off from city life for a while. Cellphones even stopped working there. Just a good place to go zen for a while and clear your mind.

Most countries have an age of consent, meaning that you can have sex before then with someone else around the same age. But if someone over the age of consent has sex with someone under it, then that is considered statutory rape.
