I accidentally posted this in the "News" section so I've reposted it here...
I saw a post asking Quote:
How would you describe Alizée?
The answers were good but none could really put into words how amazing she is. I just recently discovered her one evening while surfing the internet as I ran across the "La Isla Bonita" video. One person claimed to be a victim of that video, I must confess the same. I've searched for videos and information about her many times since.
ETHEREAL: of heaven or the spirit; "celestial peace"; "ethereal melodies"
It's a good word to describe her, but even that falls miserably short. I must admit that while viewing "La Isla Bonita" I found her to be incredibly sexy on a level I'd never seen before. The way she moves, her smile, her facial expressions, and her voice are deeply enchanting. It would be quite easy to have lustful thoughts of her, but anyone that allows themself to go down that path is sadly missing the essence of her. She is not a French version of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, or Jessica Simpson. They survive on their looks and how far they are willing to push the envelope of being sexually pervasive. There is no substance to them I think. If there is, indeed they hide it well.
Alizée, has a charisma and a spirit that is otherworldly. As I learned about her short (so far) carrer, I became more interested in who she is. In the few interviews I've seen, she seems to carry herself with a maturity well beyond her years. There is a deepness in her eyes that comes through in everything she does. She appears to be confident, almost fearless, intelligent, and loving. She is also human and I'm sure not quite perfect (but maybe close). I would imagine she could be difficult and quite stubborn if circumstances were not as she might like them to be. She is a Star, find every good definition or quality of a Star, and they will likely all apply to her.
I see that she is loved by all and many call her "our Lilli", but I think she belongs to no one but the heavens. Mylene Farmer may have discovered her and helped to promote and even mold her into the star she is, but it is clear to me that what she truly is, comes from inside, from her spirit. I wish her a long and prosperous career, which I'm sure she'll enjoy is she chooses. I'm glad she hasn't tried to become "Americanized", but if she did, the tarts they have here would be hard pressed to compete with her. I only hope that she stays grounded and natural as she has been. I hope she doesn't change into an odd eccentric recluse like Madonna or some of those that have gone before. To me, she is an Angel and I'm sure you all feel the same.
Thank you Alizée. Good luck to you in your life and Congratulations on becoming a Mother. Millions believe you to be an Angel, stay sweet.
