Weird News - Jon Smith

Jon Smith, chanteur dans un groupe, a repris J'ai pas Vingt Ans, sur son nouvel album, Arrogance, qui sortira le 13 Juin prochain.

Voici ses propres dires : C’est un double album, avec un disque de mes propres chansons, et un autre de réinterprétations de grands classiques de la variété (L’idole des jeunes, Vanina, J’ai pas 20 ans ! etc…).

De plus, sur le disque de ses propres chansons, figure une chanson intitulée... Alizée ! En cliquant ICI (http://www.raspage.com/deborahandjon/jon_smith-alizee.mp3) vous pourrez écouter en avant-première ce titre... L'inspiration vient-elle de notre Alizée ou d'une autre... ? ;)

Ok, this Jon Smith guy has an album coming out on the 13th. Half original songs / half covers. One of those covers is going to be JPVA! Additionally, one of the original songs is called "Alizée." Dunno if its about our Alizée or not, haven't seen the lyrics yet. Please let us know if you find them... or, if your good with French, take a listen here and tell us what you think:

Ha ha,you are right-not twenty at all!!! :lol: Any clues about what he is singing about?I heard it and music is not bad-it looks like some kind of a love song,according to the melody and the way he is singing.I like it.It was "Alizee" at least twice and "Melodie du vent" was at the end also,so I guess it is nice :mrgreen: .

Well,you could be right.In my country lots of people do the same thing-they make fun out of someone,or just make funny songs about anything.They are not real singers,but they have good lyrics.I don't think this guy is trying to make fun out of Lili's songs,but he is not the best singer either.But it's not bad for now.

So it's not really amateur. And as such, I assume he either went through the proper channels to get permission for this or is very, very stupid (though I guess either is equally possible!). :)

Heh, well the rest of his message on the Alliance says that the cover of JPVA was done "in good spirit" (as opposed to mocking Alizée, as some members thought), and that the album cover is of course a joke making fun of himself (people had commented on it looking cheap, etc.). Though I should say that there's no way to tell if this guy even is who he says he is.

Although him singing JPVA makes me think of him as a female wannabe.
