Wow, I finally found out who she is!

Almost a year ago I went to a gaming show in Johannesburg, South Africa. We had a nice 500 man LAN and just after I packed up my PC, the organizers showed the "J'en ai marre" live concert video on the projector. I was stunned by how this girl moved and the catchy French song was really, well, catchy. :)

I asked a couple of guys if they knew who this girl was but nobody knew. I asked one of my friends who still had his PC running to get the video from the organizers (who wasn't sitting very far from us) and he said he would.... Well, of course he didn't. I spend hours and hours to find anything about this artist but the only thing I could find was the little gif animation of her at the same concert. Ugh, how frustrating, I didn't know her name, or the songs name. And tonight, one year after I have seen her for the first time, I arrive on this GREAT site. Oh man, oh man, oh man, I'm super happy!!!!

Now I've just got to find a way to get hold of that same video (see, here in S.A. we are limited to 3GB per month at rediculous pricing and we get cut off completely once we reach this cap), so going with the DC++ solution is not viable for me. I really just want that single video for now. For the rest I'll make a plan.

Hmm - maybe able to help you out. If you have winzip or winrar - I can split the vid up into sizeable chunks for you. You could download 20 or 30 meg portions at at time. As it nears the end of the month, if you have plenty of bandwidth left... you could download the whole lot. I could easily upload it for you to "yousendit" - or, if you need time to download it... I could host it on my own site for a while.


Alternatively, the site (here) has smaller versions of the videos available (the actual song vids... not live shows). 10meg or so will snare you a small copy of the actual vid.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your responses! That's exactly the animation I saw Ternuc, I guess it must be very well known on this site. :) I haven't joined the alizee IRC channel yet so that is probably another South African.

How big is the high quality live video Zoomer? I'm going to reach my cap today (downloaded some E3 gaming expo videos) but my service provider probably won't block it until early tommorrow morning when they reset my IP address, so I should be able to go past my cap. If you upload it to yousendit how long will it be available there? I wish I could give you something in return, I feel bad not beeing able to particapate in the DC++ ring. :?

Welcome. That must be SUCH a relief to find out who she is! I accidently downloaded a vid of her on kazaa, and I didn't know her name for the first few days even though it was in the filename. I had no idea Alizée was a name, I guess it was that beautiful! :cheesy:

Thanks very much everyone. I'm already addicted to her and downloaded just about everything my bandwidth allowed. Through some miracle my ISP hasn't changed my IP yet!? This means I can continue downloading from international sites until they have realized it! Woohooo! :) If I suddenly don't reply anymore than the dreaded ADSL cap has hit me. ;)

The version I downloaded was the same song but it was a different live performance. I will see if I can find the video you are refering to ternuc. Thanks for everyones help and friendliness, this is indeed a wonderfull online community. :)

Do ya rackon you could pop that song on yousendit for me, I don't have it and a connection to DC++ etc. isn't possible, however i have aweosome d/l speeds at the moment from other sources!
