And as the rumours increase then i just think more that this fairytale story is really true for Alizée, that she's really very happy and her dreams will come true.

As for the other rumours about Mylene etc etc, it's just filler for now imo. Like she'd be dropped through Pregnancy, it wouldn't be a time issue for Mylene, as it's not like she keeps anything to much of a schedule. It juices up the story even more, i'm not concerned about that for now.

But would this knowledge affect your life in any way? Why do you care so much? What is the purpose of being a singer and announcing to the whole world whom have I just married? Maybe she doesn't do it because she would feel uncomfortable (I know I would) or maybe she just enjoys her "aura" of secrecy. Anyway, she doesn't make an affair of what she's not professionally supposed to and that's one of the reasons why I respect her.

LostInTime what you say does make sense no matter how much we analyse the situation and threat about what we do and don't know that doesn't change anything. You have to remember were all hooked on the beautiful drug (to a lesser or greater extent) that is Alizee how can we expect to think rationally at all times? Just the fact that they put the fact that it's a girl AND how far along she is gives a little more air to the story, but I still don't know what to think.
I really don't think what they're doing is the best way to handle it because it sounds like in 5 months every one of those secrets David mentioned will come crashing down. Perhaps she should sorta space things out by announcing her marriage and love for Jeremy sometime before the baby comes. I think that would be the best for her image not to just shock the public like it seems she is ready to do.
I hope Mylene stays with her. I think the whole leaving part is a bunch of crap.

Not sure how trustworthy this magazine is, but I enjoy the thought about a 'little Alizée' coming to this world soon. And I don't think Mylène would drop Alizée. Those were purely speculations which have been around from time, when Alizée wasn't even pregnant yet.

Yes, I was saying this in IRC earlier... if you announce a third album before everything is set, people will start asking questions and want to know more. But those answers might not be there yet, especially if this album means big changes creatively: that takes time both legally and artistically (to see if things work out) - and with the baby, yes, things might slow down for awhile... doesn't mean her career is over, but making any kind of announcement now could be premature and just bother people more.

Say she comes out and says, "Yes, I'm working on a third album but can't comment further." Maybe some people would like that, but then their would be even more people saying "why all the mystery?" By just not saying anything for the time being, she stays out of the spotlight and most folk don't even think about it. Maybe that's what she wants for her child. For now.

Of course we all WANT to know what's going on... but until we know otherwise, I don't think silence is necessarily a sign of the worst. Maybe, but I'm not making any conclusions just yet.

And just for comparison:
Another artist/band I follow closely is Iron Maiden... all the guys in that band are married with children. Some even have divorced and remarried. But not once has there been any "official announcement" or even on-the-record talk (in interviews or anything) about their love lifes, wives, children, etc... they didn't mention when they had new girlfriends. They didn't mention when they got married. And they didn't mention when they had children. It's just not the type of thing you have to talk about. So with Alizée, I don't think it's that she deliberately keeps things secretive or mysterious from her fans... it's just how things are done.

Yea he composes the music more importantly. And plays the keyboard/piano. I like L'alize because there is both a piano layer and a keyboard layer (the piano one is heard more prominently in the begginning) Also, he directs three of her videos (Moi..Lolita, Parlor Tout Bas, J'as Pas Vingt Ans) and 12 of Mylènes videos, of whom he composes the music to as well.

Well I'm sure there won't be much of a "virginity" theme either way. That was more a theme from Gourmandises and not so much MCE.

Anyway if her musical taste were to change, there would be a couple possibilties, considering if Mylène is not involved.

It can be incredibley not deep, like a complete teeny bopper or just fluff (I hope not)

It can maybe go in an emo direction and assume some kind of "heartbreak centered sophistication" or something.

It can go kinda rock/free spirited in general, but not be emo like.

Dave, we don't know the terms of their relationship to be able to conclude that it could be that sour. Mylène might just professionally not want to be involved, but that doesn't mean she would have to hate her, and forbid Laurent from doing something. I mean, you may be right, but how on earth would you know her that well to know if she is that controlling or not.

He HAS done film soundtracks (such as Giorgino) 100% by himself though. He's not a "Puppet Master" - he's a composer and producer doing his job. As I mentioned earlier, he's also directing a film at the moment, without Mylène. So he's his own man as a filmmaker as well.

I actually just noticed that Mylene's breakthrough hit, Libertine (kind of her "Moi Lolita") is totally written by Laurent... as opposed to the usual line up of Mylène on lyrics.

One question: in the article it says somethnig about Alizee and Jeremy moving in their own apartment, but I've seen an interview (I believe FANDE) in which Alizee says she moved in her own apartment all by herself(she doesn't mention Jeremy-which I noticed she never does in interviews). Why is that? And why does this article say she got just now in a new apartment???? Is this newspaper making some kind of resumee about Alizee, or is it really new stuff? I want to say that the information could be taken from another source.. so...
What about a third album? Alizee said herself that she is very superstisious and doesn't want to reveal anything about her new album (see FunTV interview). I don't think she changed her mind.

I understand the confusion here in this thread and the worries/anger saturating some of you, but never forget the essence of our worries and anger: Alizée. Keep in mind that if and when an album is due, we will know aure enough; if and when a baby is due we will know sure enough; if ther4e is any real reason to be upset, angered or worried, we will know in due time.

Alizée has not spoken out yet on any of the matters discussed in this thread yet. So, I will wait for her; this is all about her. Sure, I am worried too, and hate the negative press, but until I hear from Lili, I will also not lose sight of the fact that she has her reasons for not speaking out yet. Let them print articles and photos all they want, but I will not waiver; I choose to wait for as long as it takes. I do not care for rumors or innuendo, and as long as Lili stays silent, then so will I.

How do we even know that they're still together? We still don't even know that they are really married... no news came out about them getting their marriage certified in France. So, I guess we won't know till she goes out and says it... and until she does I'm just going to not believe any of the rumors I hear. I don't think a new date has been set yet. I'm a bioengineer so I know this stuff. The chromosome splits and some go one way, while some go the other. It's a 50/50 thing but maybe it's because the father's features are just easier to notice. It sounds possible.

People don't usually put out press releases about pregnancies, and for her to say something less formal but still on the record she'd need to be doing interviews in the first place, which she's not.
If she was pregnant, i would have thought we would have seen ALOT more pics..
Likewise, there haven't been pics showing that she isn't pregnant.

How is Jenifer different to Alizée? They both sing similar pop music, both are close to same age, both were born in Corsica, both have similar target audience, both have relased two albums, both have done one concert tour, both have similar voice, both are good looking brunettes and also they're close friends and go out with each other (so probably they both share the same interests). The only difference I come up with is that Jenifer became famous after winning Star Academy but when you look at the two now it doesn't seem to make a difference really.

And if Jenifer can win the award for the best french female artist and the best album @ NRJ 2005 Music Awards after having a baby then I can't see why Alizée couldn't do it, afterall Alizée has a bigger fan base and Mylène and Laurent backing up her.

Yeah, i know they are very alike in that respect. I was talking about how they are very different as a person. Alizée can't expect to follow the exact same route as Jennifer. Granted, they are the same kinda singers yes. but motherhood affects all girls in a different way.

Jennifer has different composers working with her on her albums to Alizée. Also, we suspect Alizée is going towards more rock. I don't know if Jennifer is more rock or not.. but , my point is that they are very different people away from the music world as in "feelings" .. so, i assume it may affect Alizée in a different way. When Jennifer came back from her baby to start performing again, im sure she had the same music composers still backing her, this may not be the case with Alizée. Jennifer fans knew what the would be waiting for.. the same kinda music. Regarding Alizée.. we just don't know, or who is helping her with her third album, or even if MF or LB are in involved too. Its just guess work.

The third album imo will be the crucial factor in her career if she is to come back from this "pregnancy" to make it back to the big stage again. Sorry if i sound negative, i have a strong opinion on this.

The career of they is great, but Alizée is much younger.

Re: David's last post - I think that's very reasonable. There is alot riding on her third album. Of course, I think us hardcore fans will be more open to it than the general public, and she doesn't need to be a mega #1-selling superstar to still be a successful singer.

the baby's not even born yet. gosh, beauty is only skin deep and a handsome father is not really a prerequisite for being an angel. we can't really tell now but perhaps when her baby's grown up, we'll know whether he/she really is an angel like her Mom.

I believe differently than some here. Big deal. The fact that I feel Alizeee has made some bad - very bad - life choices does not in any way refelect that I consider her a good talent. But, her running off to Vegas to get married seems to be a very immature, self-centered action for instantaneous gratification. There is no way that her parents could have been happy with the situation.....although, as any upper-middle class family, with some class, they would support her. It still does not make it right.
I would say that about anyone....including my niece who did the same thing. I feeel she lets her fans down by not having someone keep her fans up to date about what is happening. I know she is private, but a celebrity that wishes to have a following has to keep her fans interested...not guessing. Let's face it, as much as she "loves" her fans, she has yet to tell them she is married.
I don't even suggest she do it. Her recording company, manager...someone could make a statement occasionally - on her web site. The APPEARANCE is that she does not care about her fans.
She does not let anyone know her plans, etc etc etc. People will loose interest.
She might not care about what people think. Maybe her career is finished...maybe she is finished. Who knows. But SHE certainly could let people know
