I guess I'll introduce myself here. I've actually "introduced" myself somewhere else, but it wasn't so much a formal introduction.
Hi, my name's Brad. I first discovered Alizee based on an animated GIF someone had of her as their avatar in another forum. So, I decided to find out who that was. When I found out, I got one of her CDs at the store, and hence why I'm here. Heheh. Pretty boring story, but it's how it happened.

My favorite singer of al time is Natasha st.pier and someone had posted something asking for one of her music videos. I was doing a search on google for natasha and this site popped up. there after i became a member and made a fool of myself asking who alizee was. What can I say, she got me hooked pretty fast. So, what part of Florida are you from Brad?

I live on the Gulf of Mexico. Right next to Bradenton, and near Sarasota, I live on Anna Maria Island. I haven't moved in the past 6 years, and before that, I lived in Naperville, Illinois for a year, and before that, Anna Maria Island (again) for about 2 years. Before that, I lived in many different places, from Texas, to New York, to Utah, to New York, to Tampa, all over. My dad used to work for Kodak, and he kept getting relocated. Now he works for Verizon, and we haven't had to move since. Yay.
Oh, and I noticed your signature - I've got a Lennon shirt that says that on the back. Got it in NYC :afro: . I just went there (For the first time :shock: ) about a week after school began this year. I really want to go again.

Okay! I'm not good at introductions, but I'll give it a shot. My name is Sirené, I'm 19, and from TX, USA. I have completed two years of college, but it's been about a year since I made the decision to take a break for a while in favour of working. Since then, I've had a couple part-time jobs, and have very recently been hired as a web designer for a NASA company. I also do some freelance web design. My interests mainly lie within the fine arts.. I've always had a passion for art and music. I also love studying foreign cultures and languages (particularly Japanese). I have tentative plans to study abroad in Japan sometime late next year. I discovered Alizée because of my interest in the French language.. I enjoy foreign music, and in searching for French music artists that I would enjoy listening to, I came upon Alizée. After listening to a few of her songs, she immediately became a favourite. *^^*

i believe i never introduced myself, and as i never really used the forum until last month or so, i guess i could be considered a newbie aswell..

looks like most of you, for some reason, knows my name so i guess it's no surprise for you that it's kim.. i'm not from korea, and i'm not a girl. i'm norwegian, male, almost 19 years old and increasing rapidly.. i found out about Alizée when a friend of mine changed signature in a norwegian gaming (mostly diablo 2) forum from something i don't remember to that gif of the hip thingy from the jeam performances.. we had a few threads about her on the forums off-topic part since lots of the members there thought she was pretty cute.. retarded as i am (just ask mot), i never did anything more than checking the gif's name. then at the beginning of this summer with all important schoolstuff done, i checked the name again (it was alizee_real_dance.gif) and even tho i'm not the brightest person i the world, i understood as much as the person dancing there was most likely named Alizee.

google helped me by showing some pics when i typed alizee in the search box. i tried again on dc++ and found l'alize and moi... lolita. l'alize turned out to be a favorite, and after blasting that song (and that song only) from my newly bought speakers for about 3 days non-stop, i thought i'd better download all the stuff i could get (including both cd's, which i really like), and join some forum.. i then again abused google's magical powers while typing "alizee forum" and this one showed up.. i joined and found out that her name wasn't Alizee afterall, but Alizée (details, i love details... atleast sometimes when we're talking about important stuff) and well.. i never really cared for the forum as it looked a bit hmm.. too mature for me and my behaviour, but i really liked the hub when i finally got into it (after trying to get my hands on 2 gb of alizee stuff on public dc servers, took me about 1,5 months). then i kept downloading, and thought that some of the ppl there were actually pretty ok so i kept talking with them.. (especially david tinkerbell guard and monkeygod) then david (ty) decided to make a channel we could abuse on irc, cos the delay on the hub was getting kinda annoying =) i joined and unfortunately (he'd say) i got to know mot and some others.

we all know that being somewhere where you know ppl > being somewhere where you don't know anyone.. so i then decided to take a look at the forum a bit more than once/month =) and well.. wasn't that bad afterall :?

hahaha dude, thats funny as. especially in rpg games, running around as a female elf or mage or something with a female name :P the suckers fall for it every time! i have actually met females in real life who play these games, tho, they are quite rare!

one of the golden moments in my gaming history, i pretended i was a girl, this guy 'let me borrow' one of the best bows in the game (it was an almost perfect WF, for anyone who plays diablo2). as soon as it was in my hands i logged out, never to see him again. yea, its mean, but these guys have to learn their lesson sooner or later :P!

My name is Keith and as I mentioned in another thraed on this forum I discovered Alizee from a message board for the MMORPG Everqeust. After seeing a few of her pictures I quickly fired up Direct Connect to see what I could find of her on some of the Euro hubs.

If I recall correctly, the first video I ever saw of her was Moi...Lolita (Amsterdam) and I just kind of fell in love with her and her music. Pretty much since last summer she is all I really listen too music wise for the time being. I'm still trying to learn to be able to sing along with all of the songs but that is an ongoing project =)

I think the first CD I have bought in about 5 years was Alizee en Concerte. I had to have a friend, that is very big into music, track down a source to get it for me. She said it took her several hours but I was finally able to get a copy for like $48 American after shipping. Best $48 I've spent all year without a doubt.

Lets see little about myself...I live in Michigan here in the States. I used to be an avid Everquest player but have recently switched over to World of Warcraft with a group of friends so I spend a lot of time in front of my computer. Other then that I like to snowboard during the winter and play disc golf during the summer.

Anyway, that is me and my discovery of Alizee in a nutshell.

Basically disc golf is played with very similar rules to normal golf but instead of using a club and small ball you use small discs (think Frisbees) and are trying to get into a basket with chains instead of a hole in the ground.

Hello Everyone!!! I am PiLL0Wm0uSe. I have been an Alizée fan for a couple of weeks. I heard of Alizée from a friend :). I am making my first post [after being pushed :P you know who you are] and what better place is there to do it than the newb thread. . Greetings, feel a bit old for a fan forum - but everyone seems friendly enough.
I joined some time back, but as with all things in life, some situations get the better of you........meaning that without a job, high rent - I didn't have internet connection (and work is far to stingy to give employees access).

Heard of Alizee wayyy back when Moi Lolita was released in the UK (or it was on the music vid channels) when I was at uni. Case of being pretty much a smitten kitten I suppose, but it stayed pretty much like that until about 2 years ago, as I didn't have internet access. When I did have internet access - I checked her out.
However, unlike most people, until just two years ago, I was unaware of even GAMES fansites etc, let alone artists sites/fan sites, so I found this place, lurked for a while gathering that she had done more songs etc, and albums. Checked out some of her music - and some of its pretty catchy. My usual flavour is rock, but we all have weak spots eh? :lol:

Like I said, lost regular internet connection some time back - and so the times I was online - I usually had things to do instead of just surfing :roll: However, I thought I best introduce myself, as things are more regular again now (no, I am not talking about high fibre diets :oops: ).

Still looks to be very friendly and informative here, although I have recently been reading the french forums (trying to refresh my knowledge - haven't really spoken much french since I went to school in Paris for a couple of months when I was 12 :shock: ). Hope to get up to speed on news etc, so I can join in without feeling like a complete twonk :lol:

Still like my Rock, but guess I am starting to mellow out a bit these days -specially with some of the artists in my collection *hides Shania CD :oops: * I am sure my flatmate thinks I am nutts listening to 'foreign pop', but who cares :twisted:

I was born in Toulouse and I used to be in Sunderland (yeah, the one near Newcastle) though I mostly lived here, in the southern France. Often changing of city, Toulouse of course, Carcassonne and finally further west at the feet of the pyrenees (near Tarbes and Gavarnie assuming you know where it is). I think it's a better place to live in even though I like England (but not Sunderland).

Actually, England used to be my first destination during holidays. I've been around everywhere in England. Yorkshire, Kent, Sussex, London, Cornwall ect.... my prefered place was the Kent though (I liked small villages like Groombridge). I might go back in England in a few months in the Lincolnshire. For France, well I have family all around the country so I've been to Brittany, Normandy, Burgundy, Paris ect.... though I consider my home is the southwest, Gascony and Euskal Herria. The most English places of France peharps.

Apart England and France I often to Spain (not only to buy beer), in Catalonia and Aragon. I also went in Czech Republic but I won't go there anymore, and Hungary (have friends there in Budapest).

I won't define myself as an Alizée fan. In fact, I often listen to Mylene Farmer rather than Alizée. And it's not really my favoured type of music, anyway I think it's pleasant. French is my first language though, as you can see my English skills are way enough to communicate and follow a conversation.

Anyway, nice to meet you. I've never been to Ireland (my mother did), if you liked Cornwall you might like Brittany too, both have a lot in common. I don't really know the Irish accent, the geordy one is already quiet strange to me and it was hard to communicate in Sunderland, so Ireland, well another time perhaps. I should visit it one day, but I wouldn't leave the southwestern France. Once you're used to the place, the weather, the landscapes, you don't really want to move. I Forgot to mention that I've also been to the USA, though not at much as than England.

For food, well what do you want me to say? I'm in a big "charcuteries" production area, with lots of high quality food and when I visit uncles//cousin ect in Normandy and Burgundy I often bring back full loads of supplies. I'm not a big beer drinker, I know the Newcastle Brown Ale but I often prefer the 8,6 Bavaria or the Grimbergen. I don't really like the Guiness, a bit too aggressive.

I have known about Alizee since the end of January and I would have to say that she is the most perfect person that I have seen. She has great music, a sweet voice, and she's beautiful. I wish I knew about her before then cause it makes me feel like ive been living under a rock :? .

I know for a fact that you people most likely are in love with her also becuase I have seen stuff that say on the board. I have been sorta shy about joining but I finally have.

Ive had only 2 dreams that have had Alizee in it. I can share them later if you want.

I find it interesting that ever since I saw Alizee, my grades have improved and that I have an interist in taking french and going to France :oops: .

My grandfather has a friend in France who bought me a CD (which hasnt gotten here yet :tears: ) and its been over 2 weeks. I have so many Music Videos of her and Live performances. I just had to get them, I just had to see her, shes so heavenly. Just someday, I would like to meet her and at least be her friend.

Hopefully, you guys/girls accept me and can get along with me. I just want to talk to people about Alizee and to stay informed on her and have fun in the process :P .

I saw moi lolita in tv and i liked the music and alizee but i forgot about her because i was young etc and i thought she stop her carrier.
But last vear i saw a picture where she performand J'en ai marre and saw this perfomance ( en direct perfomance) about 10 times or more every day and it still doesnt boring me!
I thought that was just 1 song i like but then i heard amelie and ACC and love this songs too!
Than came yupidoo and Gourmandise. I loved the gorumandies performances on tv and the Video so i decided to buy both albums and i never thought that was a mistake so i bought the live dvd and get the fan dvd.

I dont know what it is that fascinated me.
Is it her look? the way she laughs? the way she moves? her voice? her songs? her character( just that what i know from the interviews)? or the eyes???

I dont know what it is but i think its from everything a bit.
I never thought such thinks about any other singer so she must have something special!

I heard and saw the performances of Gourmandise/acc/amelie/Jen mare/moi lolita/yuipdoo etc. everyday about 10 times! and still now i see it such often a day. I saw and heard the songs and performances so often but it never gets borning.
I never thought that can happen because if i heard another songs/videos from other singer it was just 2-3 weeks maximum but alizees songs/videos/perfomances are older than 6 month and i still see and hear them!

Firstly, name is Samuel Henderson. I am 19 and I technically saw Alizee for the first time about two months ago. Someone on another forum posted a miscellaneous video clip of her due the striking similarity between one of her dance routines in it and a dance routine in the MMORPG World Of Warcraft... I was immediately infatuated with the girl in the video... It took me hours of scouring the internet before I finally found the WMV file available for download...

Some people at school find my taste in music rather strange... I'm a big fan of techno and trance music which immediately offends most people arround me. Problem is that I don't really understand french all that well. Thats just one more reason to learn french. Wow... this is a long post already... but I feel like writing some more :cheesy:

During the day I attend school at Sault College. I was taking Electronic Engineering, but switched over to Computer Programming because I want to make or design video games for a living.

At night I can be found working at Sutherland's. It's a call center with several high profile campaigns. The highest of which being Gateway. That being said, I am an official Gateway Technical Support Agent which is not nearly as fun as I thought it would be. Other jobs I have worked:
Tim Hortons (coffee shop)
Country Style Donuts (as stockboy, once again, coffee shop)
McDonalds (as a cook/maintenance/lobby person).

When I'm not working on homework or working at work... I usually play World Of Warcraft. I am on the Lothar Server under the name of Tyramond. I also enjoy reading. For the past year or so I have been reading the Wheel Of Time series... I am on book 6. I read the first 3 books in about a month and had to take a break... I've been reading them at a snailspace ever since...

I was on an internet forum, and one of the members had an avatar with a cute little girl jumping around in an orange sweat suit. Under the picuture was the caption "jen ai marre". After a google search, I found it was the name of a song by some artist named "Alizee". After listening to a couple of samples, which sounded pretty good even though I did not understand it, I went out on a limb and decided to buy both cd's. Hey Ross, let me be the first to welcome you here. Yep, she was indeed making waves, but now.. she is married, pregnant and not due back untill late 2006 ( although, none of this is official )

She will be bringing a third album out in 06, a different kind of music from what we have been used to in the past. The Lolita days are over now, rumor has it.. she will be coming back, into a much more rock kind of style.
