Just joined yesterday, and this is my first post ever on this website. What can I say? I'm a full time 16 credit hour college student right now at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I heard about Alizée when my high school french teacher brought in a bunch of french music and let us listen. At the time, I didn't really pay attention to if the music was actually good or not as the class was loud and nobody was really listening (It was during a small party at the end of the school year). This was during the end of my high school senior year.

I was never really into American rap music, or any other "loud" American music before, although I do listen to some rock music. About a month ago, for some reason I decided to look for some good European artists or bands and I remembered Alizée from my french class. I listened to some samples and became instantly hooked. I wonder how I could have not heard this during my french class. I bought two albums from Amazon.com and have liked Alizée ever since. Since I did take four years of french, I do understand some of Alizée's lyrics, which makes it even more enjoyable.

Now Alizée is no doubt my favorite artist. I joined this forum because I actually just found out about it and realized that most people here are nice; unlike some other forums where 50% of the posts contain some form of insult, trolling, or flaming.

First post for me. My name is Brad. I'm 29. I'm from Mississippi in the states. I've been a lurker for a few weeks, but I finally decided that I should register. Great forum with lots of nice people.

I first saw Alizée dancing in an animated gif on someone's signature in another forum (an EQ forum), and wondered then "who's the hot chick?" After but a little investigating, I found out who she was and downloaded a few of her videos/songs; and the rest as they say is history.

I love Alizée, but I've only been listening for a few weeks. She one of very few artists that I can say that I like almost everything she's done. I've never really been much of a fan of pop music, but there's something very infectous about Alizée (maybe its her smile?), and lately she has been the only thing I've wanted to listen to. I just wish that I had found out about her sooner, and I hope that she continues to make more music.
