View Full Version : Life Beyond Alizée

This forum is a world on its own dedicated to Alizée. So what is life like for you outside this forum, the moment you sign off & resume reality? Are you a student, self-employed, a mom or a dad? etc...

Yep, they're always watching.

I'm at school so in addition to the study of Alizee, I must learn chemistry, calculus, rocket science, and volcanology. I can't decide which is my fav. subject though.

Melodramatic
10th December 2004, 02:08
Damn! so many subjects. Whats your master plan?

tern
10th December 2004, 02:16
Not a master plan, only a major plan. Right now it's bioengineering, but the average GPA admitted to that last year was a 3.9 (!!!) so I may have to go molecular or cellular biology.

yea, there's the irc-channel ;)

i'm a student. going to what i'd suspect is called highschool/college in english. i'm 18 years old and its the thing you do here before military service which is followed by university. go figure :P my life consists school and the things school (physics, math, business, economics and some crap which i don't like..) brings.. homework, friends, more homework and some homework.. and gym when i got time/can arse myself :)

JangoFett9232002: sounds like fun 8) problem is that we rarely got real storms in norway, so no point in being one here :P

I think "alizée" is a softer, more gental wind. "Tornado" just desribes the effect she has on me sometimes.

I've always had plenty of "life" beyond Alizée, but she has added several kinds of beauty to it.

Moco

Well, "alizé" meaning "trade wind" really has nothing to do with the strength of the wind. Rather, the trade winds are the winds that flow from east to west above and below the equator, which were really critical to ships going from Europe to the Americas during the Age of Exploration.

Yeah, i think most know that "Alizé" is an alcoholic drink. Someone was drinking it the other day who was in the Alizee channel. He said its nice.

Thanks for the clarification. I still think the tradewinds are gentler than a tornado. I was thinking of a zephyr. Alizée is a mixture of tornado and zephyr.

well Alize means trade wind. Alizée means Geostrophic, which is a type of storm wind pattern. At one point in an interview they say "the storms are not ready to be calmed."

I am taking art classes and Fashion design as well as marketing. I also model on the weekends and wednesdays. I just did a fall show a few weeks ago (I'll get those pics up soon!)

How do you really pronounce the drink and her name? I've been itching to ask that question for some time now. Is it a-li-zee, a-li-zay or a-li-shay?

You've been a fan since Gourmandises and you still don't know how to pronounce her name? :P

Ah-lee-zay

In French, all syllables are stressed evenly. The é forces you to pronounce it like a long 'a' sound in English.
