Crime in Europe vs. USA

What's the crime rate in Europe compared to the US and how bad is it? I'm thinking about moving to Europe one day cuz it sucks over in the US. People get knocked unconcious and carjacked at the mall. Cars are broken into 6-7 times a night around the same area. The cops can't do anything about it.

I live in what they call the suburbs and the crime is that bad. I don't even want to think about how it is in the city. My car got busted into and they jacked my car stereo and backpack with all my school stuff in it a little while ago. Is it anywhere near this bad in a regular suburb in Europe?

well, where i live there isnt much crime at all. We have a private Police service in our area, so they always arrive way before the real Police.. not much crime at all. But, England is pretty bad in general for Crime, nothing as bad as the USA though, thats just crazy.

I dont think in Europe it's that bad, just read the weapons's post, and in Germany, no it isnt really near anything in us i think. But i also think you have areas where the crime rate is not that high? is it?

hmmm well i live in a suburb in america. Last i know of, my moms mini van got busted into at the mall and two game boys and a bunch of games stolen out of it. Thats about as much trouble as my family has gotten as of late.

Last year the subway up the street from me got robbed at gunpoint, that was interesting.

My brother's bike got stolen about 8 years ago. That's the worst we had. Other than the time that my dad accidentaly clocked a running shoplifter while opening his door in a mall parking lot. That was sweeeet. Is there really any crime in Germany? Seems like in most of my travels in Europe the cops were there to protect the tourists. Odd, but true. When me and my bro pulled knives on a street entertainer in Siena a cop came up to us afterward to see if we were okay.

My house got shot up when i lived in L.A. when i was younger. Thats the worst we've had by far. Here in kansas it's not so bad except for the drugs in school but i guess it's nothing out of the ordinary.

hehe, they can't arrest people, just detain them untill the Police arrives. They have proper Police cars though, uniforms.

I suppose generally crimes occur in any country/city and its rate depends on what area you live in. So, to my mind, moving from the US to Europe is not way out.

You cannot really compare the crimerate of a small country with the crimerate of a big one.
Actually, even the comparison between a big city and a small country seems unreasonable.
Europe is not united, it concists of different countries. Every country has different laws. Different law inforcement organizations. Imo the whole USA vs Europe generalization is not suitable.

there is a lot of arabic people in france. franckly too much ! To answer your question, in france the crime rate is 80 % from arabics between 15 - 25 years old. I don't say all are bad, but when something happen (thief, agression, crime, burning car etc.....) it's almost every time from them. For the ramadan, police must be deployed....Last ramadan, they burned 2 theatres ! Agression in the subway is from them...etc....Crime rate in france is pretty high because one them. So if you come in france, take care about young arabic group !

Yes, excatly the same in England. They show us no respect at all. Everytime one of them ring me up to do gas work in their house i just hang up on them, they are so arrogant on the phone its unbelivable. I didnt know france was like this, i did som research a while ago as we plan to get a holiday home in Normandy, that part of France seems great. Like you say, i assume Paris has been hit the worst by this decay ?

When they arrive here, they get a free house, free medicine, free money and free furniture. My Grandmother has to wait in a que to get her pention because of these arabs. They couldnt care less about anything but themselvs. They get everything for free, don't pay anything and don't work.. they are a decay to us.

That's true...I guess Normandie is a country (I mean "campagne")...They are all concentrate on big city. Marseille is the worse, beaucause it's the south. Lyon, paris but almost everywere anyway lol. All foreigners did good integration in france (asian for expemple), only arabics makes problems ! Some of them, whom get a good integration are good peoples, but too much are only shit without education.

hehe, i so relate to that. Yes, they have kinda took over a town near me, they all move in next to eachother, close the doors, then the next morning a few more pop out. Its amazing how fast they breed. Not to mention te nasty smells. They don't wash, they are dirty and just hang around the street corner looking to cause crime. The Police are very strict on them here. I am sick of them, they seem to be out numbering England. They don't like it when we call it England, they want it to be called "United Kingdom" , they are slowly taking over. Many of the people i know have stopped working in their houses as they dont pay. Maybe we need a law to shoot them if they come out on the street after 6pm :cheesy:

The funniest thing I've seen in my town, is a large chinese family that moved into an apartment complex and started stealing everyones garden vegetables at night. lol.

I will be in England next year, and I hope I don't see those problems you guys mention. Both poverty and brainwashing are a bitch. There was a documentary her in Canada about the problem of extremism in England and how these muslim clerics are preaching death and overthrow. This was taped right from the horses mouth during a speach held in a mosque. The problem is real and growing; I just wish that the inocents didn't have to suffer aswell.

Lastly, I will gladly destroy any person or people wanting to do me harm. They might have read about hell and preached about it, but, paradoxically, this Catholic will show them hell face to face if they ever get in my face. But I like very much African french usually. There are very different than arabic (expect when the ones who spend their time together). A lot of them are considering like french anyway, because they come from island that belong to french gouvernement. They are pretty kind usually.
