I wish I could find the thread which was made in january 2004 or so.
It was about newyear's promises or something. I know I wrote a lot of them. But cannot really remember what I promised to myself :P
Then again, I'm sure I fulfilled a lot of them.
Oh and Christmas is kinda cool at first. And when I say "at first" I mean the period from 20 october till 10-th december or so. Yeah! That's the best Christmas period... when all the Christmas decorations still look good and one doesn't have the "I'm so fed up from Christmas that I could almost blow up the local mall" feeling.

lol, so right. I love the build up to Christmas, its great. We just put our Christmas tree up not long ago and lights around the house ect.. looks cool. But i hate from like 25 and onwards! I mean, we spent over £2000 on food and drink, and little things. Even though none of my family realy drink alchol, its always nice to have in during Christmas. kinda like a mini bar with so many spirits and beer, crazy!! The build up is awsome, the best holiday period ever. However, this year is great as i have 2 months off during Christmas from 2dec - 2 feb , so cool! I hope it snows, it said on the news its going to be he coldest winter here for a very very long time.

"Yo, Santa , the tree is over there man.... oh wait"
Santa: "Don't worry David I can find it!"

It's not that I don't like christmas, it's just that everyone I know doesn't really do much for christmas. My family and friends used to exchange gifts a long time ago but dunno what happened to that. But since i'm going to NYC I can party in the clubs and get super wasted with people I don't even know. It's gonna be crazy.

My family dont change gifts anyway. Christmas imo, is a time to be with your family and enjoy the holiday togeather. Its a great time. But, like you said.. if your family arnt Christmas nuts like we are lol, i suppose you have a point.

We trade gifts but it's not the same over-splurging like most American families when they spend far more than they should. It's really better just to be around them and all my cousins and uncles at my Grandparent's huge house in the snow. That's what I love about it. Usually I hardly care about the presents. If I want something, I buy it myself.

Well Christmas don't mean holidays for me, cos I have to study for the exams in January-February, and I always end up missing the times when I was a child and didn't know that mom and dad were the three wise men (they are who bring the presents to the Spanish children, though we have also imported the Santa Claus tradition rofl). So Christmas are a little boring for me, but I kinda like it cos I got more time to be with family and friends, and even though I sometimes got sad and melancholy and dunno why, it's Christmas I guess.
