When do you guys expect the new album? And is it indeed going to be named Les Reves?

Uh, is this a joke? There isn't even any singing in that sound clip. How can we be sure that's really one of Mylène's songs? It's not even her style.

That would be my guess.

... and I thought this is one of those orchestra_instrumentals like there were some about Alizée's songs.

Agreed. Who cares? It's all about Alizée IMO. That time would be better spent writing, or at least thinking, of new songs for her.

Agreed. Who cares?
Uh, me? And the many other Mylene fans here. No reason why they can't both be working on new material.

I don't see your guys' point in posting in this thread if you don't care about Mylène. :?

Anyways, the sound clip was already proven to be a joke at the MF-I forums and it looks like gj1_vosi already edited his post here. So, umm, let's just keep this thread for discussion of Mylène's album, if we ever get some real info about it....

Why not lock it?

Here's a happy story about a crippled dolphin:

Because if you read in my last post, there's still some use for this thread. Now no more spam, please.

Yes, there are many Mylene fans here. If you're not one of them, just stay away.

Anyway, I haven't heard too much about her new album... certainly not the name... but that it could appear anytime in 2005 or even 2006. I'm looking forward to it. A few days ago, someone posted a fake single cover over in Mf-Int called "Dans ma peau" (In My Skin), which I though looked pretty cool - but was just a well-done photoshop.

gj1_vosi also mentioned in that forum that "rumors say it wild be in a more eastern style with instruments like sitars...and woodsounds... " - could be cool, I'm interested to hear it. Alizée's stuff always has a special kind of magic, but Mylene's albums afford us an opportunity for a slightly more mature form of musical exploration from these two artists (MF and LB).

Anyway, I've never posted this here before, so I figure now is as good a time as any... a little "boutonnatisque" track I put together at my school's digital media center:

Sounds nice! However, I think it's a little too abstract to be considered "boutonnatisque". Laurent's compositions are usually very melodic and follow the basic rules of chord progression and such. What program did you use to make this? I especially like the string samples, which sound very realistic. Finding good quality strings samples (for free) isn't that easy.

Yeah, well I didn't set out to make a "boutonnatisque" track, but some people who have heard it have called it that (my intention was just to express the title - Alien Landscape)... I mostly used Soundtrack, but with a few sample and other plugins. It probably wasn't free - I dunno how much my University paid for all this stuff!

I can't wait til Mylene's next album!

I think she is planning to release it in January, followed by a new tour in the spring.

I just bought and listened to "Les Mots". I liked it. Very different. I liked the airy sound. What's not to like about Mylene Farmer? She helped us have Alizée.

Big news about Mylène !
In 2oo5 she will release AVANT QUE L'OMBRE. In January 2oo6 she will be for 13 nights at Bercy, for a big show she just can make in Paris.
She also said her new album was going to be more electro, with more guitars too. Of course Boutonnat works still with her.
Oh, and Boutonnat said he was going to make a new movie, JACQUOU LE CROQUANT, about a man during the French revolution in 1789.

Let's hope it will have a different fate than that of Giorgino.

Barely two more weeks to wait for the radio version then. I hope she does some TV promotion too, but the press conference reports were saying that she might skip TV altogether.

Hope too.
GIORGINO is a great movie, and JACQUOU should be not bad too
