This might not be such a good idea but this site features sound clips from recovered cockpit recorders moments before the jet crashes...pretty freaky. I couldn't listen to more than one.
So if you have a fear of flying, death or just human suffering in general, do not download okay? Let this be a disclaimer and not some kind of reverse psychology ploy to get you to listen.

whats weird is that theres is a list of the top 100 deadliest crashes,
and Ajaccio Corsica is number 32. A mountainside crash in 1981. This creeped me out a bit.
In the IRC i brought this up but i was not careful at first and accently led someone to fear the worst, lol im sorry.

O come on guys, more people die from car accidents, or smoking. The only reason why aviation accidents seem so scary is because when they happen a lot of people die or get hurt at once, unlike in car accidents. The best airlines to fly with are the ones who train their own pilots, or the ones who have a reputation of hiring pilots with more than a couple thousand hours. Believe it or not, there are airlines who hire pilots with as little as 600 hours, mostly in the Middle East. Do a little research. Even their past flying history, some airlines hava a bad maintenance record, thats a big no no. I know pilots who are making their way to a commercial career, and have never been up side down in an airplane, and panic when ever something happens out of the ordinary. That is why today a lot of airlines are giving their pilots EMT(Emergency Monouvering Training) courses. That is another thing to look for if you are afraid of flying.

Damian K, is right to get you CPL you need 6000 hours of flight experiance on your PPL although that differs from country to country but most follow the same rule
(CPL= commercial pilots licence)
(PPL= private pilots licence)
for more information search for the CAA the civil aviation authority

Where I live, (Canada) I can get my CPL in 200 hours. But there is no way any airline is going to hire me with so little. Its just a piece of paper saying that I can fly for money. Than I can work privately or for a small company, and eventually after thousands of hours, and a few years of my life I have a chance with an airline. 20 more hours and I got my commercial, its very exciting but its only the beggining.

Its amazing. The world becomes a lot smaller. A lot of cool adventures, especially on long tirps. Being a pilot is the coolest thing in the world, to me. No matter what happens in your life, you can always jump in an airplane, do some aerobatics, good stress relief, or go for long trips with your friends (those are always more fun then expected. I wouldnt trade this for anything.
