But I suggest cremation for you. It's more nature friendly option. Burying poisons the ground for years and is very dangerous in case of flood or other catastrophy.

I'm such a dumbass. I had doubts in the back of my mind if there were truly male nurses. One doesn't need to attend a university for that right? I mean, community college can automatically boost you to an RN position right? In California, RN's hourly wage range from $27/hr - $30/hr, and that's just for a starting!

Four years. And yeah, we have to take a bit of everything for "distribution credits", but overall the requirements here are not too demanding. Especially now towards the end I'm taking mostly all electives. Of course this can vary greatly from school to school though.

You need to change your video rendering mode. Currently it is set to be 'overlay' for you. You cannot take screencaptures of overlay video.

This is easy to fix. Just open options of the video player and change the rendering method. For example, in Media Player Classic, go to:
Otions -> Playback -> Output -> DirectShow Video
and change from 'Overlay Mixer' to 'VMR9 (windowed)'.

Officially, surroundings of North- and Southpoles uses Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

But basically yes. If you sand at the excatly point of pole, you are on all 24 time zones at the same time. As that's the point where they all join.

People working on Antarctica doesn't always use GMT, tho. Sometimes it's just more practical to use your homelands time due to communication and supply feeding.

There's no stable residence at Northpole so time in there isn't a problem. Those few who travels there uses the time what was used in the place where they started the trip. Or uses their homelands time. Whichever is more practical for them.

I guess you might have been misled by the fact that I had Paris as my location while I was living there last summer. That's the only time I've lived in Paris. I also lived in two other places in France (Le Blanc and Orléans) for a total of about a year. You'll see my name under the English section, although I haven't been very active recently (anyone who's been to graduate school will understand, plus I've been pursuing other interests in the meantime). The French section has never really had an admin, but since I speak French, I usually take care of any administrative issues there.
When the staff decides it's necessary to have another moderator, we'll add one. Right now the traffic isn't very high, nothing like what it used to be. By the way, as the administrators have often mentioned in the past, some of the forum issues we take care of are behind the scenes, without any of the members realizing it. Don't think that just because you don't see us, we're not doing anything.

It has about 2,000 horsepower, and it accomplishes the same acceleration and high speed an 850 horsepower F1 car does (with less handling and breaking).

Obviously, a 5 seat sedan doesn't make sense as a racecar at all. The concept here is, make people who own 5 seat sedans feel good about their car. It isn't a sedan, it's a racecar! (Accident rates don't matter, this is business baby! :D ).

Of course, the cars really are racecars, they bare no resemblance to their production counterparts than the fake outer exterior holding a similar shape.

Thats not a type of file. Its a audio compression codec. It means Free Lossless Audio Codec
FLAC sure is codec but it's also music file that's encoded with FLAC (as well as MP3 is file which is encoded with MPEG layer 3 codec). The typical file extension for FLAC file is .flac .

1. If you just listen to music or watch movies and transfering the sound to amplifier in digital format then it doesn't matter what sound card you have as long as it can passthrough digital audio (in DTS, DD, or PCM format). It's the amplifier that creates the sound.

2. If you edit sound, then it matters what card you have. The professional cards has much wider dynamic range, better converters, much more usable features and so on...

3. If you play games, then you need sound card that can encode sound in good quality in runtime. This is basically the only need for those overpriced gamer cards. Professional cards don't usually support the technologies used in games (because there is no need to support them). Unfortunately, if you need also need edit sound, you are either forced to buy another card next to this one or just try to survive with average quality what these gamer cards can provide. In my case, reason 1 is the only valid reason currently. I have soundcard that has digital passthrough. Reason number 3 is totally irrelevant for me. When I play, I play sounds off anyways. Reason 2 is the reason why I have thought of bying new card (because lately, I have done more and more audio stuff, too). Altho, I need new card anyways when I replace my current motherboard so then I'm forced to chooce new soundcard anyways. Maybe E-MU, maybe M-Audio, maybe some other... I have to test what works the best with my other equipments.

If you can affort those X-Fi card, then you can affort also E-MU card. They aren't badly priced. E-MU 1212M costs around 220 bucks. Even the entry level card, E-EMU 0404 beats hell outta those gamer cards and costs only about 120 bucks.

It has improved quality over old crappy cards. Creative has not done one good card for mass markets. And what's the most saddest part, it has practically monopoly on that sector...

X-Fi Elite Pro sure is top of the line product from Creative. But it's top of the consumer sector. That's quite different thing than being part of professional sector. Of course the audience is quite different, too, so features aren't necessary directly comparable.

Also, it's only top of the consumer sector when comparing game performance and sound quality.

If you compare digital sound output there is no difference in sound quality between this nearly $300 X-Fi Elite Pro and (for example) $20 Terratec Aureon 5.1 card. Both does digital passthrough so the sound is no effected anyway by the card. Only amplifier matters (and the sound source of course.... i.e. if it's lossy MP3 or lossless WAV/FLAC/CD). I'm assuming you have one. If you don't have then you should compare the analog output and that can vary a lot between cards. And basically only way to compare analog sound is to compare each card separately as every card is unique (one bad capasitor can make it sound like crap. Even if it's X-Fi Elite Pro...).

Even more amazing... Put $20 more and you'll get Terratec Aureon DD 7.1 card. $40 that has very nice feature that even X-Fi serie's top model lacks of. Realtime Dolby Digital encoding. Yup, as amazing as it is, X-Fi serie does not support it (don't mix DD passthrough with DD encoding. Theyare two very different things). It will output game sounds in analogic format. Don't remember for sure but I think E-MU cards doesn't have this either. But then again, for what would they need it? They aren't game cards.

Try them out before bying. That's really the only right way to compare. What sounds better in your ears is better for you.

Of course you can check out some hardware or hi-fi boards to look for some extra opinions and reasonings. But I gave above the basic reasons for choosing a card.

For movies and music all the three types of cards (Gamer cards, professional cards and cheap cards with digital passthrough) that I have mention works equally good.

For sound editing, the Pro cards are definitly number one choice. But they lack in game stuff (altho, you could buy some cheap game card next to it). X-Fi comes second. And the cheap card of course is... well... Cheap one. :)

For games X-Fi comes first. It's missing DD encoding but in games case, it's not that terrible lost I guess. In every other aspect it beats the two other cards in games. The cheap one and Pro card are pretty much tied. Pro one's might have some nice features that games can use so then it would become on second place.


Oh, maybe I should have stated earlier that the quality difference becomes more clear when you do recording with the cards. That's where the Pro one stands out in sound editing. If you edit lossless digital formats on computer without D/A and A/D convertions it doesn't matter again what card you have. When you keep it digital, the only thing that matters is the software that you are using. Altho, more expensive cards usually have features that helps digital editing.

Well first of all, 30gig video causes about 400 dollars, and CS:S what? about 60?
Not really compareble.
But i would still say don't spent on a 30gig video, really the chance of watching a video outside ur house is really small. Just like psp, only good for showoff but not really that useful. Just stick with a normal mp3 player.
And about showing ur friend Alizée, just do it through the internet. If they don't want to hey it's their lost.

@ RMJ: well, I am sticking with the pro version X-Fi or the E-MU (thanks to you). though, I am still not convinced that the X-Fi cannot be put in the same league as the E-mu or M-audio . . . I just realized that I have a copy of "C0omputer Music" I bought last month and will see what they say (whole section on new hardware and software grading) The E-MU 1616M (laptop) got a 10 rating and good value for money at L350!
