Wow, leave it to Alizée/MF/LB/Etc to surprise us... first many thought this would be a Innamoramento style clip: half live footage, half new studio-shot stuff... then the announcement that it would just be a concert extract, and we all wondered why bother having it as a DVD extra? Now we see that it's actually a compilation clip, like Mylene's Plus grandir live promo video for her 1989 concert: one song, but with clips from throughout the show. Well done, bravo, bravo.

Hey guys! Go back to the "Live Alizée" page on the official site and you'll find that they just put up extracts from L'e-mail a des ailes and J'ai pas vingt ans. The asterisked note says they won't be available on the CD, but they will be on the DVD. Still cool to hear though! Thanks to nexus at MF-I for finding this.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is new or not, but you have to move your mouse over the DVD cover first. Then it'll give you the DVD's tracklisting, which includes those 2 songs. If you move your mouse over the CD cover, those 2 tracks won't show up.

Yeah, I got this version... he really did not miss much - the channel cuts nearly the same amount from the end. It's fantastic quality for a 57 meg video file... though of course, an even better version will always be welcomed.

Also wanna add: I wasn't so crazy about this clip the first time I saw it, but it's growing on me with each viewing (the improved quality helps!)... so keep watching it fellas, and who knows what might happen. There's a great deal of skill in the cinematography and editing here... I sense LB's hand behind it, but I dare not say anything for sure just yet!

JP in the hub is now sharing an 105 meg version captured from MCM Europe. It's better than the 57 meg M6 copy, but still not perfect. JP says he will try to capture an even better version from M6 or MCM France in the near future. In the meantime, I'm downloading this new one and will share it on yousendit later tonight. Check back for that.

If you have a DVD player capable of playing PAL DVD's then it will work. But chances are that if you bought your DVD player in the US, it can only play NTSC. You'll have to check your player's manual to see if it can play PAL. However, if you have a DVD-ROM drive on your computer, it should play without problem.

And thanks in advance for sharing this updated version of the video, Snatcher. I know we'll all end up having the video in the highest possible quality on the DVD, but having nice ones a few days early ain't bad either.

Anyway, Olympio in the hub is now sharing yet another 105 meg version captured from MCM, and it appears to be about the same quality as well. So just to run down the versions we have:

Low quality
Official mpeg - 30.1 megs

Medium quality
JP M6 Capture - 57.7 megs

High Quality
JP MCM Capture - 104 megs
extremeR MCM Capture - 104 megs
Olympio MCM Capture - 105 megs

Dunno anyone with an FTP, but I could try uploading one of these to yousendit again. Anyone have a preference as to which one I do (I have about 4 hours left still on the Olympio download)?

I like it a lot. When I don't have time to watch the DVD and can just cue it up and see many of the best parts. There are also things that aren't in the rest of the DVD so it's very nice to see those. It's a shame she'll never be performing it on TV or anything. I'd like to see what she does with it.
