Cristelle received this from the Actualizée team, which gives us some more info about the Live CD:
http://www.alizee-forum.com/galerie/data/media/141/CD_live_la_totale.jpg
As you can see, it will be a regular jewel CD case but with a cardboard cover, and the CD itself is yellowish. The booklet is 8 pages long, with almost entirely new photos. :dribble:
But here's the shocker. Incredibly, two songs will be missing from the CD: "L'email a des ailes", and, even more unbelievably, "J'ai pas vingt ans". For some reason, they decided to leave off the finale!! I just can't understand it. (Maybe now that she's 20 years old, they figured it was out of date??). Anyway, thanks to Cristelle for the news.

An idea being thrown around the French forum is that JPVA will be a hidden track; after all, Alizée likes giving surprises, and in concert she leaves after ACC to make us think that's the end, before coming back for JPVA. So we'll have to wait and see.

Well, first off: DROOL :dribble: :dribble: :dribble:
The image in the tray is especially class.
Second, any word on if those two songs will be on the DVD or not?
(Maybe they are missing on CD so as to fit it all on one disc?)
Anyway, thanks BIB and Cristelle for that image!

It's safe to bet that the DVD will have the entire concert. I can understand them cutting one or two songs from the live CD, if they don't have enough room to fit them on one CD, but why JPVA? Surely it's more important than "Youpidou" or even "C'est trop tard"??
By the way, this looks like it will be a cute pic:

Well, there can be a number of reasons... the biggest, I bet, is that (JPVA being the encore after ACC seemed to end the show) they can have the CD sound like the concert ended naturally (for those who don't know or care) - with even the most recent single - if they end on ACC.
Another reason could be like you said - the song has become anachronistic now that she is indeed twenty. Last, maybe they are just not as happy with the recording of JPVA as they are with other songs...
And yes, it could possibly be a hidden track too. Who knows... but I supposed the impetus was to get the time down to fit on one disc...
Now L'email a des ailes... one of my absolute favorite tracks... I can't really figure out what they were thinking there!

Shame they might be cutting out songs tho, they could have made 2 cd's and filled it up with remixes or video's or something...
Ah well...

I dont get it, why is it neccessary to leave out "L'e-mail a des ailes "
Because it symbolizes the co-work of Alizée, Mylene & Laurent ?
Ah, i dont even want to think about the reasons.
A hidden jpva would be a cool surprise indeed. But i dont want to jump to any hasty conclusions, only to be "dissapointed" afterwards. Btw, i think yellow is extremly suitable to be the color of the cd.

It looks totally great, and yes the new pictures included are very cool too...
About the exclusion of the two tracks, i think it's basically the principle of space. I know it's pretty hard to fit a full live track list onto a CD and with this being official it's probably a little longer as well...maybe they just had to bit the bullet on some songs. Jpva is suprising as it's one of her most publically notable songs but then she is 20 now so maybe it's fitting. Maybe there is a feature about it on the DVD which means they can afford to leave it off the cd...All will be revealed soon anyway.
But yep, it's got me excited..very :D :D

Wow, the CD looks great! It's disappointing that it'll be missing two tracks, but it's all good. I can't wait to have that thing in my hands! :D
You guys are right about the time restraints on the CD. I did some quick tests with all my bootlegs and WinAmp's playlist. In most cases, the total playing times, excluding L'e-mail a des ailes and J'ai pas vingt ans, were just over 80 minutes long, the maximum possible on a CD. Only in one case did the total time come out to be less than that (Bruxelles totaled 79 minutes and 33 seconds). Those times still include any long gaps between songs and any time Alizée speaks to the crowd, some of which may have to be cut out if it's specific only to a certain venue perhaps. So I could see how they could fit this on one CD if they just do a little trimming here and there. But just don't get your hopes up and expect any hidden or bonus tracks. The CD will mostly likely already be jam-packed as it is!

I guess it is common practice. My LinkinPark Live in Texas DVD has all the songs from the live set, but the CD is missing 2 or 3 songs from it. Moco may be right about the time restraints thing.

They should have made it 2 cds then... I hate seeing songs cut out. JPVA thats one of the best. Fair enough she isnt 20 anymore, but still shouldnt be cut out :*(
Should have been a double pack. 2 cds.. remixes, songs and interview recordings.. or something..

thats a good point davidalizee, why cut out ANYTHING if your making a live cd then it needs to have EVERYTHING. But when i think about it the last concert i went to there was a whole lot of talking and musical tuning going on between songs...so yeah they could cut out thoes parts if they really had to...just as along as lili wasnt saying anything importaint.

Well, they seemed pretty adamant about keeping the CD release to only 1 disc (and when I say they, I mean the powers that be, whoever they are). So yes, it was necessary in that respect to cut some songs. People may also be a little disappointed to learn that they also had to cut out the intros to some of the songs (Gourmandises & A contre-courant) and also the reprise of Moi Lolita where she sings with the audience. But rest assured, those are still on the DVD (at least that's what I've been told).

Yeah i have to say the live CD is Fantastic. So much better than i expected. Id go as far as saying its actually better than the original versions. So it might be edited a little, however you can easily grasp the concert feeling.. Live. P.T.B is just stunning as with them all. But, that song is Majical on this CD. She puts her heart and soul into it. I am so impressed with this Cd i can't stop playing it. Thanks so much!

Guys, I've moved your conversation to the more appropriately titled "Buying Alizée Stuff" thread. You can continue your conversation there.

Maybe now that she's 20 years old, they figured it was out of date??
....so then ehh..like.... why was Moi Lolita in the live CD if Alizee's current age was important? A Lolita is usually 12 or 13, so given the fact that Alizee was 15 when she recorded ML, she herself was already on the mature side for a Lolita.
On the other hand, Moi Lolita to Alizee is what Star wars is to George Lucas, so it would NEVER be cut that song from any of her products...

Let's just say if not for Moi... Lolita Alizée would not have been famous. That song made her a star, so it will follow her wherever she goes.
