How do I Download and Burn this DVD:
1) Make sure that all 6 RAR files are downloaded or copied to 1 folder on your Harddisk.
2) Select all 6 RAR files together and Decompress them with WinRar / Unrar (or an other suitable application).
3) After Decompression, you will get a folder with 4 new files. One of them is the FEEALIZEE.BMP cover file, which you can print. One of the others is FEEALIZEE.ISO. This ISO file is an Image file of the original DVD!!!
4) Restore (burn) this Image file to a DVD+R and you are ready to play the DVD.
(added by Riccardo, thx to bijsterg)
Additional info from Snatcher42:
For everyone without a DVD burner - you can still play the ISO image file using a virtual drive mounting program like Daemon tools. Tutorial:

First:- Let me thank the Board for a great Alizee resource.
Second:- I took the opportunity to download the Rar files, open them and write the ISO file to Dvd-R (3.97Gigs). I used WinRar and Easy Cd/Dvd creator 6 Platinum in WinXP Pro Ser Pk2. While I find the video wonderful unfortunately there is no sound??????? Did I do something wrong, or is there something else I should know?
Any clues would be most gratefully received.

Riccardo,
Many, many thanks for pointing out my stupidity.Of course when I use Power Dvd
all is perfect. I had set my Media player as my default and I'm afraid that in my excitement at getting this Dvd I guess I was not thinking properly.
Also, you could not be more right. After installing Ser. Pk.2 it took me about a week to get everything back to normal. I would strongly recommend anyone who has not yet done this that they wait for the bugs to be sorted and stick with your own security that you already know.
Thanks again for the very prompt help and a great Forum.

As I could convert the RAR files easely to a DVD, I thought it would be usefull to explain how this was done:
1) Make sure that all 6 RAR files are downloaded or copied to 1 folder on your Harddisk.
2) Select all 6 RAR files together and Decompress them with WinRar / Unrar (or an other suitable application).
3) After Decompression, you will get a folder with 4 new files. One of them is the FEEALIZEE.BMP cover file, which you can print. One of the others is FEEALIZEE.ISO. This ISO file is an Image file of the original DVD!!!
4) Restore (burn) this Image file to a DVD+R and you are ready to play the DVD.
I used Nero Vision Express 2 to Burn (Restore) the Image file FEEALIZEE.ISO to a blanc DVD+R.
The result is really good!
I hope that this short helpfile is enough for those of you who do not know how to convert the RAR files to a DVD. Iff you need further help, you can send me an PM Email.

There is nothing wrong with Service Pack 2!! You only have to read the explanation from Microsoft's website before downloading and installing this package. They discribe what all features are and what you have to do to adjust all the settings according your wishes.
Iff you do'nt change the (standaard) settings, all features will be set to maximum security. In that case, you'r not able anymore to download certain files, visit certain sites, and so on. However, if you change the settings as you wish them to be correct, you will get an excellent protection from intruders and your PC will function as before.

I do'nt have a server or website to put this files on, so I can not host them. However, if one of you has this opportunity, I could send him the ISO and the BMP file on a Data DVD, so he could put them on his site.

its not only downloading, i know it has to be adjusted but there are several things which do not work afterwards...
i can life without sp2...
but that doesnt matter anymore. i think dl one file will cause the server more traffic and work if a dl fails or anything like that. its better to dl several files, for the server ofcourse....

There is another way to use this DVD disk:
get all 6 files in one dir
extract first file with winrar (the others will be extracted automaticaly)
Be sure that you have Daemon tools or virtual tools
Load extracted *.iso file with Daemon tools :)
now you can watch this DVD without disk :)

yeah deamon tools is cool to, but theres one additional way to, you can select the dvd folder with intervideo windvd, should work with powerdvd too, so you don't need to burn the dvd.

Hey Ricc or BIB or someone: could you maybe edit the first post to add that - for everyone without a DVD burner - you can still play the ISO image file using a virtual drive mounting program like Daemon tools... I've had a few people asking about that. Thanks.
banishedbayou
3rd December 2004, 06:33
Or you can just use a program like ISO buster to extract all the files from the ISO and then you don't have to use virtual drive.
Snatcher42
3rd December 2004, 13:55
You can actually use any good extracting program - like WinRAR, which anyone downloading this would already have - to do that... but personally, I prefer mounting because it adds to that "I'm watching a DVD" feeling. :)

Une fée nommée Alizée = A fairy named Alizée.

I noticed people were requestiong a DIVX version of this. If someone would be able to give me the needed webspace, I would be able to extract the viedo files and encode them to divx. What you would end up with would be a considerably smaller file but without the ability to play on dvd players without encoding to mpeg-2 format and burning to a vcd.

Hey olympio. It should be possible to burn to a DVD-R if you want to. I've done it several times for people who weren't able to play DVD+R's on their DVD players.
Hi! I think there is one more thing (:doc:) that can increase the DVD+/-R(RW) compatibility with DVD players. Many modern DVD burners have the ability to set the "DVD-ROM" media bit (Book Type) before burning to the media. The disc should then be visible as DVD-ROM to the average DVD player. There usually are free utilities available for download at the DVD+/-R(RW) drive manufacturer's support website to set this Book Type bit, you can also try one of the free and universal utilities (e.g. newer versions of Nero CD-DVD Speed have this feature: Add-ons -> Bitsetting. The free utility can be found at Nero's site and at the utility homesite: http://www.cdspeed2000.com ).
Please note: some DVD burners with older firmware do not support bitsetting - check the manufacturer's support pages. HTH.
A truly great and international forum! Top marks! :D
BTW: Just a noob question: Could anyone post/PM a torrent to the 6 RAR parts, so that we could share the files right from the beginning of the download? Thanks!

25th June 2005, 20:18
thnx dave , should i put it in a dvd-r or a cd-r :?: :?: :?:You'll need a dvd-r as those files are dvd files. You will also need a program called win-rar to "unzip" those files prior to burning them to the dvd. You download them as .rar files, use win rar to unzip them to .iso files (I think anyway), then select all of the .iso files and add them to the dvd burn session and it should work. I've done it and it's a great quality dvd!
Thanks!

well you unrar the archives, mount the image with D-Tools and you can play the .vob files using BSPlayer, that's how I do it

unzip them, and you can drag them into windvd to view them. There are lots of ways to watch them withought burning it to DVD. You can even mount them, and watch the full DVD.

If you mount it, you can use whatever program you normally use to play DVDs:

I'm pretty sure that even if you don't have a DVD burner, you can still download them, unzip them with Win Rar and just watch the ISO files on your computer anyway with the windows media player but I'm not certain how that works.
Good luck Ramon!

Well I watched the DVD today and it's quite nice and interesting. Well, myself, I'd rather consider Alizee an angel rather than a fairy . The best part is the high-quality videos in it. I think I got at least 2 GB of videos from the DVD and replaced the normal quality videos i had on my PC  it's worth downloading it. :cheesy:

Here is the program I normally use to mount files. I also use imagedrive which you ought to have if you use NERO to burn cds.

Deamon Tools! Thats all I have to say, easy and works perfect.
Alcohol 120% is what I use. But really any of the above programs are good. Use Daemon (pronounced demon) Tools if you're a beginner.

26th June 2005, 11:17
I also use alcohol 120 and I think out of all the other virtual drive, its the most easiest. It automatically sets up virtual drives in your "my computer" and all you have to do is right click and mount the downloaded iso, image, mds, etc... inside your directory

Don't replace any of the files. Put all six in the same folder, then extract from any (it will automatically access the data in all six files).

yes, either Windows classic or download the ffdshow codecs. If not, play it in power DVD or WIN DVD.
Also, the best way to play dvds withought burning them is to drag and drop the VIDEO TS folder into the classic player. Works for me everytime.

As you have prolly already noticed, the thread is old.
Une fée nommée isn't anywhere on the web currently online. (Not in any well known server.) And because it is 4GB in size, noone will likely put it online.
But you can get it from DC++ hub dedicated to her stuff. Read the DC++ Q/A thread for more information.

Rapidshare won't let you upload anything bigger than 50 megabytes, and megaupload won't let you upload anything bigger than 250 megabytes. You are better off going into the DC++ hub for everybody's convenience.

So then we can get subtitles for the FunTV interview. IT was originally planned but it got trashed but maybe a few of us can follow up on this idea?

I'll download it and upload somewhere else... (if I find place)
But meanwhile, try through proxy.
What I did I normally went to download it and when I tried to start the download it said the link was broken. But I then enabled proxy and again clicked the download link and it worked just fine.
