Go onto Alizée's official site (http://www.moi-alizee.com) and click on the French version. There is a section called Live Alizée which talks about the release of the CD and DVD. They talk about what we've already known, such as the DVD being filmed in high definition, with 5.1 in Dolby Digital and DTS, the bonuses with the making of her videos, her trip to Japan. It also says that more pictures will be coming soon.

When you click on the link, it displays a popup with a montage of concert pictures, which looks pretty cool.

Actually, that sound is perfect. It was what they played before the beginning of the concert, when everyone couldn't wait to see Alizée (especially after standing in line for 2+ hours :P ). It gives a sense of anticipation, kind of like we're anticipating the DVD and CD.

Yep, good news. You can also countdown the next update, Lía. You can start in "6 months to go" lol. And thanks, Dave, I couldn't see the pop up neither =)

For once, Í hate the fact that I have a pop-up blocker! I just visited the site last night in hopes that there might be something new, but I saw nothing. They don't even mention anything on the front page or the news section.

Ah well, it's all good anyway. I like the choice of music too. Like Mark said, it's the music they play just before L'Alizé and it brings back memories of the anticipation I felt just before finally seeing her.

LOL... yeah i can...! but it is a real let-down that u can only access that one single page from a pop-up.... they should of incorporated it into the site (as a link) like they did with the gourmandises info...!

Yep, Amazon.fr. I just ordered the DVD/CD/Double CD there yesterday (total came out to be $79 USD after shipping). I spruing for the express 1-5 days shipping which is 20 bux, compared to 15 bux for regular 5-10day shipping.

To make it easier, you can use your existing Amazon account from amazon.com for the .fr site. And it should have all your shipping and payment info, which makes it easy for someone that cant read French.

yes finally! now i'm at Uni i can actually load the official site...

It's wonderful to see the update and the beautiful pics in the baby blue dress again...*dreaming*

and at least the site has updated it in a decent amount of time before it actually comes out, unlike the update on her two spring performances which happened basically on the day or sometimes even after the actual event!

Hey, i got this new popup when going to the site. It says:

Here is a roughly translated snip through Altavista:

For several months, scandal sheets have reported and hawked false information on Alizée and its career. They pretext that this one underwent a setting "with the early retirement" on behalf of its house of disc and its production. We make a point here of specifying that these allegations are purely untrue and that it is a total diversion of the truth, only intended to harm.

At least that is sorted. :cheesy: !

Im sorry to interfere with this but this is great news to hear about, isn't it? :cheesy:

So the rumors basically were just made up to harm Alizée and Her carreer.
Thanks to all those, who helped spreading them. . .

Here's a direct link to this new pop-up, followed by the (always) poor altavista translation:

http://www.moi-alizee.com/concerts_popup.html

For several months, scandal sheets have reported and hawked false information on Alizée and its career. They pretext that this one underwent a setting "with the early retirement" on behalf of its house of disc and its production.

We make a point here of specifying that these allegations are purely untrue and there’qu it’S acts D’a total diversion of the truth, only intended to harm. Geostrophic is very well. No problem N’is to be announced with its house of disc and less still with Mylène Farmer and Laurent Boutonnat, his producers. After 4 years spent in promotion to France and with L’foreign, and a round in all France, Alizée wishes, as C’is the case for any artist, to take time for it before remaking an album. Nothing N’is more legitimate and that should not even surprise anybody.

This false information unfortunately was largely included in media supposed to be more serious, thus maintaining the rumour and reinforcing the doubt as for the continuations with the career D’Alizée. These articles also tried to throw a total discredit upon its relations with its producers.

Neither Geostrophic, neither Mylène FARMER, nor Laurent BOUTONNAT N’wished to make of denial in the newspapers concerned, which N’would have made qu’feed the polemic. On the other hand, we made a point of giving these precise details to the people who like Alizée and who could S’have worried for it.

Another interesting change to the site is that the "Live Alizée" link on the main page takes you to the concert dates... clicking it elsewhere takes you to the new DVD page.

At least this is nou sorted. We had official word from the site, finally. :)

Lía
30th September 2004, 16:35
yeah... at least our minds are now at rest... :D

Snatcher42
30th September 2004, 16:43
Yes, well what it's saying is that the fact of the matter (no new promotion appearances, etc.) is true, but that the rumored reasons (a fall out over sales and/or image between MF/LB, Alizée, and/or Universal) are completely false: rather, she is taking her between album break.

Yeah, nice to hear, especially about MF/LB... I really wouldn't want anyone else (well, except maybe Alizée herself) contributing to the next album.

Something has also been added to http://www.moi-alizee.com/actualite.html:

30/09/2004 - Live Alizée

C'est le 18 octobre 2004 que le DVD et le CD du concert d'Alizée sortent en France. Pour plus d'infos, cliquez sur "Live Alizée".

or

30/09/2004 - Geostrophic Live

It is on October 18 2004 which the DVD and CD in the concert of Geostrophic leave to France. For more infos, click on "Live Alizée".

Of course, we already knew that, but I thought I'd mention it since we are scrutinizing the official site... nothing new in the Promo Agenda section, though... but I guess that makes sense given the recent statement.

The statement about the rumors has been on the site for quite some time now. It originally appeared on the website in April, mainly to quiet the rumors created by Voici back in February. Here's the link to the thread talking about it, with a translation by Moco: http://www.alizee-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=6441

I think the site was updated by mistake. the web site admin was going to update his own personal web site, but he typed the wrong hostname when he upload his changes, and now it is on the Moi-Alizee site. Still, it is good it got an update. :P

Seriously though, I am not anxiously waiting for the release of the DVD, unless she is going to do a performance or two for it :). Most likely I will pick it up, being an Alizee fan and all . :)

Somehow, that seems so good. They are thinking about the international fans. Which is really nice. But at the same time, their priority is still the France. Coolness.
And i must say, that by updating the site now, and not before, they have made a great strategical move and didnt let the general public wait too long for the DVD. Sure there were rumors, but nothing official was ever released. Until now.

I have a funny feeling that im repeating myself.
