Sébastien (rozier) provided this info in the French section:
Today in the new Hit Machine Girl on page 8 in the SCOOP section, there's an article about Alizée along with a little "live" photo. The commentary:
ALIZEE MAKES HER RETURN
This October 18th, Alizée will return to store shelves with a new live album and DVD, recorded during her tour. As for bonuses, the young singer will deliver the music video "Amélie m'a dit", rehearsal footage, a documentary on her trip to Japan, as well as the filming of the music videos "L'Alizé" and "J'en ai marre". We're waiting impatiently for it!
Then on page 60 there's the address for her record label accompanied by a photo taken during ACC promotion.
And then on the next to last page of the magazine, there's a big song file devoted to Alizée, with the lyrics for "Amélie m'a dit" and a big promo photo for AMD. An entire page dedicated to her.
Then Sébastien says that he spoke with the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Nicolas Tourderte, who told him on the phone that Alizée accepted an interview on behalf of the magazine for the live promotion. The interview hasn't taken place yet but depending on Alizée's schedule, should appear around October 15th in the magazine.
Thanks Seb for this info, and we're anxiously awaiting a scan of these pages.... :dribble:

Thank you, bib, that's good news. Though I still have a lot of questions in mind about the promo issue and how right Voici was.

Bad news...rozier said that the editor-in-chief of Hit Machine Girl received today a fax from Alizée's Universal staff saying that the interview has been canceled, without giving a reason.

omg... this is bad news... so Voici is right afterall about her cancelling stuff ?? is this the start for things to come?

i wouldn't go that far to be honest David, not yet. But yes there are elements of truth in what Voici said of course, but if you shoot off stories in the dark sometimes like they do, they're gonna hit sometimes.
The start of things to come, well...maybe for now, but if Alizée is wanting to reassert herself, she'll need a break and then a comeback as long as the break, this is bad news now i know, but as a good friend of mine has said, long term is how we have to think...Previous examples have shown a lengthy break can be good, and that artists sometimes come back bigger and better than ever. Of course it's kinda worrying cos of how we feel, but then as well as knowing things can go worse when they are good, we've gotta remember things can improve on what seems a kinda scary situation in some respects.

Bah figures, this doesnt surprise me :(
Also, the waiting game won't work if that is what it might be. All these other artists are too popular for any of them to step down it would be a horrible move I think :( Anyway, once again bad news...Voici makes some good guesses....

Despite the good points made by Jaycubed... when I read this, I gotta say that my heart sank, a pit formed in my stomach, and all I could think was: OMG, NOT GOOD...
I've tried to be optimistic, but as the facts and rumors pile up, I can't help but feel that something more is at work here than just a normal "break"...
Why wouldn't Universal even want her to give an interview for a print magazine??? It's words, so it can't be an issue of image... unless they fear she would say something on the subject... or another they don't want to address...

^same here, Snatcher, I got a bad feeling about it, but maybe we should wait until the dvd&cd release before coming to any conclusion, to see what happens with that promotion that lately looks like being cancelled with no reason.

I ...... Youpidou!
This is about your picture. When I look at the picture of just her eyes, I still the most beautiful woman. Her eyes are sexy all by themselves. She can't go away.

The smaller picture with the title "Alizée fait sa rentrée" has been replaced with a better quality version from Cristelle's site:
http://www.alizee-forum.com/galerie/data/media/144/hit001.jpg
Also, the second scan on her site is a better scan than the original, but it has a lower resolution:

By the way, I wouldn't get too worried about them canceling just one press interview. It's true that with all the rumors about the promotion, things aren't looking too good, but keep in mind, the Mylène-Alizée-Laurent circle has a history of keeping things secretive. We won't know exactly what's up their sleeve until Alizée's stuff actually appears in record stores or until she herself actually shows up on TV.
Now if they cancel every magazine interview for this promotion, then I'll get worried. But the fact that they actually devoted 1-2 pages to her is a start.

I guess this is, afterall, mylene's style. Being secretive. They are not giving much info, because, like many have assumed, they may be wanting to get rid of the old image. And in this case it is a good strategical move.
All things concidered, they dont have to give interviews. They just have to promote the single. And this is excactly what they are doing. I mean, so much room given to Alizée in the magazine. This is excellent. No need to worry about rumors not happening. They were just rumors in the first place.

Yes, true... but we are just assuming that this is what's happening. It's very possible, indeed I'd say most likely... but you can't help worrying - what if she doesn't come back? I'm sure MF fans have felt the same over the years, but must now be more secure, with Mylene being a 20 or so year fixture in the French music scene. With a more recent artist like Alizée, one worries...
Like BIB said... lets see what happens with other magazine interviews... hopefully there will be some, and I think that will calm us greatly!

Cool stuff man, but did anyone translated it? we could put all the missing interviews and press things to http://www.alizee-fanpage.com/page.php?language=en&content=press .
Any help would be great...

We don't need to translate the big scan, since it's just the lyrics to AMD. But the smaller scan, I'll make an entry for it in the Press translations.

Seeing that the mood of the forum is a little down lately, here's something at least somewhat positive:
Pinocchio from the Alliance had a representative from Universal on the phone, who said that any information regarding TV promotion is remaining inside of Universal, for now. When asked about what albums, singles, etc were going to be released, he said, "Quite a few things are going to be released, don't worry, and I think it'll be a nice surprise."
It remains to be seen how much truth there is to Universal's response, but at least it's something.

Yeah, though keep in mind - as we were discussing on mIRC - this "surprise" could be just about anything: ranging from simply the live CD/DVD we already know about (if the person on the phone took the caller as rather uniformed), to something super-ultra-mega cool that will totally knock our socks off. Guess we will just have to wait and see!

More musings from mIRC:
I think it's about time we got ourselves a SPY, for Lili Impossible: Operation Alizée Freedom. The mission? Infiltrate the heavily guarded Universal Fr offices and procure a copy of the ULTRA TOP SECRETE Alizée 'Surprise' file.
The way is dangerous and paved with tripwires, heat and pressure sensors, and of course killer ninja guards sworn to protect the surprise at all costs.
I will not lie to you - he who attempts this extraction may not escape with their lives. But successful completion of the mission will put you forever in the debt of Alizée fans worldwide.
Which one of you is up to the task?
