It's kind of pointless right now, but there are resized versions in the gallery now. It's too bad there's a size limit on the pictures in the gallery because these pics deserve to be seen in their full glory. But nevertheless, they're in there for future reference.

Aaaaand....here's my first attempt at a desktop using these pics. It's very simple, but Alizée is the main attraction here, not any Photoshop skills.

yes, because you can't upload huge pics to the gallery i guess. So he put them here so others could get the high res.

Pictures that are too big (like over 1 MB) slow down the server and make it less stable. That's why really big pics aren't good for the gallery.

Thanks Chromex. The pictures look a bit strange when viewed at full resolution, but they're very nice if you zoom out on them a bit. I suppose that gives us a lot of flexibility to use them for whatever we want, like huge wallpapers or tiny avatars.

Yes, the scanner has more than enough resolution but the photos on the magazine don't so they end up noisy and blurry. I ran them all through the same set of noise filters which worked well for some and not so well for the others. Also some of the photos are in better quality in the magazine too so naturally they look better when scanned.

And yes, the idea was to scan in very high resolution so there's plenty of room to work with in the wallpaper and then resize it to a smaller resolution.

Btw anyone know any filters that would produce the same result as in the scan cleaning thread (http://www.alizee-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=74)? Or is that just a lot of manual work?

A small manual to connect and download files from a ftp server:

Make connection with the ftp server: ftp://80.127.44.200
Login: Alizee
Password: AF

Be sure that your Caps Lock is switched off when you login! Do also NOT login under Anonymous! Only Login as stated above.

You will now see the Download and Upload folder of the ftp server.

Open the Down- or Upload folder
Select the file you want with your mouse
Copy the file (with a right mouse click)
Open the folder on your PC where you want to store the file
Paste the file to this folder (with a right mouse click)
You have 10 minutes after login to make a choice, and start copying a file. If you wait longer then 10 minutes, you will be disconnected (timeout).

You can also drag the file to the folder on your PC.

After a few seconds you will see the Windows copy screen activity (file flying from one symbolic folder to another)

DO NOT download files the way you do from a website, by selecting "save file as", or with a download manager. Only use the above mentioned method, by using Explorer, like you do on your own PC when you copy files from one folder to another!

DO NOT try to download from server to server, for this is not allowed.

I hope this manual will help you to make it easy to connect and download files from my ftp server.

To Upload files it works the same: Just copy and past the file from your PC folder to the Upload folder on my server.

A 1.000 people allready used my ftp server in the last few days, so it works as it should do. As I have only a small server, you sometimes have to try a few times to connect, when the server is full connected.
