Well, i wonder if Lili does that too. With madonna's b-day for example.

Yep the James Masters thing did suprise me too...but it's cool to know in a way that Alizée is still being mentioned in recent stuff, cos i've got a feeling after the double album, the Live DVD and maybe another single....she's gonna be mentioned a lot more again in the near future

I have a friend who's in to Prissou and Alizée. I never really liked Priscilla's songs (ironically, because they seemed too processed, but there is a techno fan writing this post...), but is she not a cute kid? Eh?

No, I downloaded one of Prisc..'s songs off the hub once to see what she is about. I didn't like it at all, so I never bothered to figure anything out about her.

If you're in the US 99% of the time you learn of Alizee because you see a picture of her. Her music is all but unknown over here. I can't help that. It's only once you know of her that you can learn to adore her for her charm, personality, and music. I know all the Americans here can agree to this.

Personally, I like many ( not all ) of Priscilla's songs. Her voice is strong and all of the words are well-pronounced making them easy to understand. One song that grabbed me was "Celle Que Bas Des Ailles", with its mysterious tone. When I first listened to her sing, it seemes wierd that so young a person could sing so well, and I felt wierd listening to her and watching her vids because of the age difference. But hey, I like her voice, what can I say?

As far as David's comments, the simple truth of the matter is that people have different tastes in pretty much everything, music included. Be thankful there is such a variety of music available at a time when record companies are trying to push a cookie-cutter music formula to the public ( boy bands, Britney Spears, Clearchannel radio, etc ) so that they control what we buy as opposed to being able to choose for ourselves. So ignore these groups, let radio stations/stores/etc know that we the consumers, not the corporations, decide what is worth buying and what goes into the trash can.

Yep, but French music of any kind will NEVER be popular here. It's just a fact of life so we must find it ourselves. Screw the radio. I don't even have one. American award shows for music are the saddest things I have ever seen.
