I was wondering are there any books available about Alizee?
6 ActuAlizée's
2 StarOne magazines
And I think i've seen a little (bio?) book of her, with a cartoon image of her on the cover.
The ActuAlizée's are a real must for everyone, although they are a bit thinner then I imagined. But they include posters wich are hard to find.
So buy buy buy!

Yeah I know about Actu I have 4 of them but not 3rd and 4th editions. I think they are unavailable now sold out. Bio book :D do you know where I can find it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your post mot. :D
It's not on her official site. And I doubt it's a bio book, who releases a bio book in the beginning of their carreers?
http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/ASIN/2843431506/qid=1089065081/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/171-4693855-6693035
I doubt there's any really substantial information in there, but since it's pretty cheap it might be worth picking up.
Yeap, no bio. From the pictures i can only tell that its Alizée from A to Z, so maybe it is something similar to some newspaper articles - about what Lili likes and wich things somehow connect to Her. ( http://img13.exs.cx/img13/3884/article_part3.jpg )

I bought the book at a FNAC before I left France in April. She's just one of many artists in a series of books by the same publishers (Robbie Williams, AC/DC, Johnny Hallyday, Eminem, Lorie were some of the others). There's not a whole lot of stuff in there that hasn't already been said in magazine interviews, and most of the book deals with the era from Graines de stars and Gourmandises, with just a little bit about MCE because it was published in early 2003. Like Ayan said, it deals with Alizée's career and the people who have been a part of it.

Thanks for your help guys. :D Hmm its ok I guess but I knew most of the stuff in Ayan's scan. Seeing as it is quite cheap I may buy it but Actu is probably a better source of info. Oh well maybe one day she will write about her experiences I guess it would be a little premature at the moment. Hope she has a long and exciting career. :D

I read as much of it as I could. I just get a little of the meaning. Anything about Alizée is worth trying at least.

There is no need for a book. If you want pictures, then just vids because her movements are the most infective part of watching her. If you want her words, listen to her music or watch interviews because then you can hear her sweet voice. I see no reason to have reading materials about Alizee, because they cannot measure up!

Exactly! But I think everyone agrees with that here :) phew

Woohoo, I quote myself. All I want to point out is that I am not meaning to put you guys on if you get all these. I'd love to see the magazines and such (though I could not understand them). We all agree they do not equal the effect of Alizee. It is more done as a personal expression of one's admiration.
Sorry for the technical language. I am an engineer in college and this is what my speech is.

I'm with you, here! (technical language??) ok. But everyone would agree that we all want to see the real living beauty; otherwise it would be a rather myopic and worthless life. But, now we are delving into the galactically obvious! I have just wasted some webspace:) How gratifying!!

Maybe, but sometimes such a contrast can work. I guess maybe not so much for the look as it is the coolness about a beautiful girl about to kick your ass lol.
Yeah I watched something like the first 5 or 6 episodes of Alias becuase of that. I also watched Andromeda (SciFi show) because Lexa Doig does that too, and she is reasonably hot. That Xena woman looks too much like a man for me.
Is this thread about books?

No prob, Vapor. I split this topic into 2, since it was getting too off topic. If you want to discuss movie possibilites, go to the "Alizée in Film" thread. Let's just keep this one for books.

Same here then we can find out what she really thinks and about her experiences in the music buisness / public eye. Maybe it will won't happen she likes to keep her life a private matter. I've read Mylene is like this too but obviously everyone needs their own space. Obviously she should not realease one yet her career is still only just begining. I find it ridiculous when someone releases one when they've been around for a blink of an eye. I think Gareth Gates did that (I appolgise if anyone here is a fan but it just seems a bit silly to me) Alizee will release many more albums all we have to do is be patient and enjoy seeing her career develop long live Alizee!
ps: I'm developing an interest in Mylene lately I downloaded a video clip called Giorgino from one of her DVD's? Sorry if that is incorrect this is new to me. Anyway I found it very moving account of war and death and the suffering attached to it. Her voice is so sweet against such a hard ,haunting, desperate soundscape. Thats the best way I can desribe it. There is probably a topic or information about her on here could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks. :D

I don't know of any Mylène Info on here however, I do know of a great Mylène site, with a great Alizée section too:

Hope this helps Mr Bond....

Yes it does thankyou! :P Lot of depth  to this site I love it! This explains so much. I hope I understood this correctly my grasp of French is not that great but do I read that her grandmother took her for walks to the local cemetry! Freaky! Well that explains the darkness in the lyrics of her songs. That and the sudden changes that took place so early in her life. Moving so far from her homeland must have been very tough. Fascinating career. Very brave to tackle such a wide range of issues sex, death, depression many extremely taboo. So Giorgino was a film now I understand and I can see why it wasn't popular with the public at large the rawness and the subject matter would be too explicit shocking even. Maybe if it it had been a small independent release it might have faired better well who knows! I will definately search out some of her music. Once again thankyou! :P

Search out her music videos too... the ones directed by Laurent (who also did Giorgino, and ofc writes all of her and Alizée's music) are especially good... take a look at the "Clip" section of ame-stram-gram to get an idea (though their list is incomplete...). :)
