I'd just like to make it clear I have no care for it, just wondering on behalf of my friend (who believes she is a liberal, which a good percentage she is) what kinds of Views Alizee has about the world, and the happenings of today. Danke.

This subject has been discussed already.
She does have Her views, thats for sure. But She has been advised to keep them to Herself.
Wich is a very smart move, i say. Every statement from Her about that subject, will lower the sales and change the amount of fans, thats for sure. No person in showbiz, who depends on his/her fans, has not made a statement about his/her political views.

Political view... I don´t know.

The only important thing is that she loves Real Madrid :cheesy:
(Because of Zidane, of course)

I think it is best that she keep these views to herself. Unless her politics and morals affect her singing, I don't want to be disillusioned. I like to assume that she is so sweet that she must be tolerant and against violence, but if she isn't, I want to hide my head in the sand. I know this is a chicken shit view, but I really don't want any news of her that would break my bubble. Sorry if this makes me seem shallow, but I don't want my love for her to be undermined.

Yeh, well too bad. I want my fantasy life with her to continue. Don't ruin it with the facts. My life with her is bliss.

Very good move...not to disclose those opinions, nobody should expect her to have to and if she did it's only the way of the world that some sections would critisize her views, at least this way nobody can do that, and she gets to keep her opinions to herself

She shouldn't tarnish her talent and reputation by divulging possibly moronic opinions on political issues. Take a look at Sean Penn, arguably one of the greatest actors currently in Hollywood. His talent is incredible... but I give him no respect as a person because he's a complete idiot. Not only did he oppose the Iraq war but he went over to Iraq before the war and was personally escorted by Saddam Hussein to view children killed by "U.S. sanctions." He is a tool of the left and Alizee shouldn't resort to the same tactics.

^same with Viggo Mortensen, Johnny Depp, Nicole Kidman, Susan Suranden, every other Hollywood actor and actress...

Well I don't really mind her ideas about politics. But at least I hope she is for the Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité slogan, and doesn't classify people by polical ideas, like some guys do.

Expressing a political view/preference can cause embarrassment look at Geri Halliwell for instance just before the last general election in the uk she said quote 'Tony Blair is a f***ing (yes she used that) fantastic leader' Later it was revealed that she wasn't registered to vote. ROFL! Often seems that actors and musicians will use a pollitical view or hijack a good cause to further their careers. I won't name anyone but I'm sure you can think of some. Alizee is smart/ popular enough not to resort to such shock tactics.

Many actors and singers who express their "opinions", do it for the sole purpose of boosting their popularity or sucking up to the media and the predominant intelectual establishment. They mostly have not enough experience, education, brains or time for reflection to develop any consistent set of views. At best, they repeat the trite, meaningless slogans about tolerance, peace and natural environment. At worst, they become more specific and talk some rubbish they probably don't even realise the consequences of. The problem is that a great deal of fans tend to believe their favourite star must be right in everything they say. Why should a talented actor or singer be wiser or better informed than an average guy in the street?

Five more posts and I become a "Fan", right? :D
